They represented foreigners well. Bos humble and comments on enjoying Nagasawa cool, not like he could get any bicycle. Wish USA has this profesionalism.
great vid man, maybe a little interviewing tips, when theyre telling you things, just nod, and smile instead of say yeah, uh huh, yayayaya, just a little repetitive and annoying for the viewers, but great content non the less
Why do the Local Keirin riders let themselves get so fat? I know like track sprinters the focus is on wattage not watts/per kilo like a GC rider but they seem plump even for track sprinter standards. I enjoyed your videos nice work.
Chris Peltzer Why exactly I don't know. As Matthijs Büchli said in the mini interview these riders will have long careers, might not always care about first place and can't have the same focus as the international sprinters. The guys in this video are picked from the best riders in Japan and they have to get to that level by winning races. There is a strong element of rough play built in to the Japanese keirin though and some riders will share prize money if another rider does a good blocking job to help them win. Beer and bad food aren't really frowned upon either and with some of them not being natural athletes perhaps those indulgences combined with the onset of middle-age contribute to their plump. All of those points not really excusable however when they train and race a majority of the time haha!
I dont even think that thats actually 'fat' as much as bulk for smashing around on the track... These guys train differently, and a lot of the same stuff from Sumo has entered the Keirin stables...

Foreigners went 1,2,3. I suspect some of the Japanese riders will put down the cigarettes and whiskey after that.
