Again Thank you for showcasing my home and letting me be apart of your adventures. Looking forward to yalls return so i can show you even more odd and weird things here, Will continue to follow yalls journey, Be safe and Live A Great Story
Being born and raised I Texas I can say one thing about the Big Bend, no matter what direction you go in it's a long way from somewhere to nowhere. Born in Commerce 1948, raised in Dallas 5th generation Texan.
On our last trip to Big Bend we saw wild bears and lots of javelinas. On the trip before that one we saw a bunch of giant Jack Rabbits. I really enjoyed your video. I am very impressed with the camera skills.
We camped in Terlingua last year. Did a bit of a tour around Big Bend SP, we never got to see half of what you saw while we were there .So thanks for showing what we missed. The crossing into Mexico where we went was closed. btw When we left Terlingua I blew a tire on my truck, I had to go 80miles each wat for a tire. I didnt want to pull my trailer with a temp spare on the truck.
As an HD rider and adventurer, I wasn't sure if I would continue enjoying your travels in your new ways, especially without the HD. But I enjoyed watching and listening to the two of you and decided to give you some time to show what you can produce for entertainment. Well, I'm glad I did and I always knew you wouldn't be able to continue the obvious gruelling type of lifestyle. So enjoy yourselves as long as you can. On another note, I think most politicians are Jackases. Very appropriate, especially being kept behind bars!
Rich, Chris - Hwk Motorsports should be sponsoring you guys. Never heard of them until I saw Chris's jacket sometime last year. Looked them up and ended up buying their adventure jacket and pants, plus their mesh riding jacket. 2K+ miles in and I love the gear!
Rich, you need to purchase a GS911, so after your warranties (?) Run out you can trouble shoot, update your service light as well as see your values throughout your bikes systems ...
You guys are doing it all right. Perfect truck, great choice on the camper and although I am not a fan of BMW these fit your style just fine. Gravel roads are the best for scenic views and you nail it there also. I know it's a lot of work doing these videos but I look forward to Sunday to see what adventure you are into. I also take note of where you ride for our own future vacation trips. I deal with many people who may say "It's not what you ride but that you can still ride"
Greetings from England, love your videos, stuck at home with COVID at the moment this episode was so much fun really cheered me up, seeing you pair on donkeys really did make me laugh as for the goat story priceless, can we borrow that goat for London, bound to do a better job!
Keep the excellent vidoes coming, great work! Good call not leaving the panniers on during your dirt naps. Those aluminum cases are worthless after a good fall. I had them on my first GSA, had a tough get off, that case never sealed again, had to use liners to keep things dry. Eventually they all leaked (I had the top box too). On my second GSA I switched to Caribou Cases, virtually indestructible no matter how hard you fall and they have never leaked!! Getting my third GSA soon and that old pair of Caribou Cases is going on that one too.
Here is a fun animal mayor for you from the San Francisco Bay Area to. I thought you would enjoy. Bosco the Dog Mayor Field review by the editors. Sunol, California Died 1994 Pet Cemetery. Bosco Ramos has been dead since 1994, but Sunol, California still misses their dog mayor. Bosco was elected to that honorary title of the small, unincorporated town in 1981. Bosco was a mix of black Labrador and Rottweiler, ostensibly the Stillman family pet, but ultimately a classic town mascot. He would hang out in front of the local bar, mooching treats from friends and visitors. If bar patrons were plastered, Bosco was known to accompany each on a sobering stroll along the railroad tracks. Bosco Dog Mayor statue. The Dog Mayor statue, unveiled Dec. 19, 2008. In 1981, in an election hatched by locals as a joke, Bosco Ramos ran against two human candidates for the mayoral slot, and beat both. He became known as America's first dog mayor. He led the annual Halloween parade, and could often be seen at Sunol events and social gatherings in his formal tuxedo. Between official functions, the mayor had "free run of the town," and apparently had a plan to increase his constituency. "He's the father of a lot of little black puppies around Sunol," one local told us. The Dog Mayor saw Sunol through the big fire of December 1987, when downtown essentially incinerated. The 125-year old Lyon's Brewery and other buildings were destroyed. As firefighters fought the blaze, Bosco sat out in front on his rug, "looking sad," according to one witness. "A Symbol of Democracy and Freedom" Bosco dispenses beer. Back for another pint at Bosco's Bones and Brew. In 1989, Bosco's fame ignited internationally after a Chinese Communist newspaper, the Peoples Daily, proclaimed his election was proof that democratic elections don't work. In the wake of Tianamen Square, Bosco was an invited, high profile participant in a 30-hour pro-democracy rally in front of the Chinese consulate in San Francisco. He was "a symbol of democracy and freedom," said Sunol resident Solveig Shearer. Bosco died peacefully in his sleep in 1994; a few days earlier, he'd been driven around town to survey his domain one last time. The Dog That Pees Beer Though no animal (or human) filled the vacancy, Sunol wasn't ready to forget their leader -- though the town is split on the degree of reverence required. A restaurant calling itself Bosco's Bones and Brew opened in 1999 featuring a specially engineered, Bosco-like stuffed dead dog behind the bar. Bosco's. The dog pees! The bartender lifts the dog's left rear leg to draw a pint of beer. Bosco's Bones & Brew is under new ownership, but the dog is still tapped and sampled daily. When we visited, bartender Michelle coaxed the dead dog into streaming Michelob Dark. Bosco the Dog Mayor Statue A more loving tribute was unveiled on December 19, 2008, a bronze statue of Bosco next to the post office, under the town clock. Lena Toritch, a Russian artist living in Salt Lake City, was selected by the town to create the sculpture. Her bronze of Bosco features his signature kerchief and lolling tongue, ready for a treat or a good luck rub. Video: Sunol Remembers Mayor Bosco Also see: Mascots | Roadside Pet Cemetery Bosco
Rich and Chris. Thanks again for the great videos, fantastic scenery and the great history and story telling..I’m anxious to follow your adventures. Remember, we have great riding in New England!
Rich and Chris, we usually watch your video on Sunday but the World seems kind of upside down right now including our lives so it has taken us an extra day to catch up. We love what you are showing us of Texas. So much of our perspective has been shaped by the Make Believe World of Hollywood but we can see the "real deal" is far more intriguing and exciting. Thanks for Sharing!
The GS911 to clear or scan codes is the solution for that. I get this massage some time on my 2020 GSA and I use the GS911 to clear the bad code. The bike work ok until you clear it, you don't have to be afraid just ignore it.
Hey Chris, You crack me up. After visiting Clay Henry a real live goat who is the Mayor of Lajitas, Texas, You say We're going to someplace interesting....LOL.. Prayers Flying for safe travels
Awesome trip! I will going in a couple of weeks!! Thanks for the foresight. My 2019 GS had the same fault.. had it reset twice, the third time BMW told my dealer to replace the fuel pump.. I never experienced any problem with the fuel pump.. dealer/ BMW told me to take bike and ride as normal until pump came in. Two weeks later they replaced pump and no more faults.. just an fyi. Thank you Rich & Chris for your great content.
But wait! There’s more! 🤣🤣🤣 You’ve reminded me of all the things that I need back out there and do after a challenging year. I live in Alpine and this is all in my backyard. I’m so glad y’all came to visit! My motorcycle is ready to go. I hope you made it to Presidio, too.
i get that fault on my GS now n then too. dont have to disconnect battery. it goes away jus by turning it off, turning it on again. i like that yall on GS's
As others have said, a GS-911 is your friend. Also depending on the error, the bike begins a countdown and will reset the error if the error does not appear again after a certain number of trips.
😩that's why bmw bought mine back, they couldn't fix it, kept coming back about every two miles. This went on for almost a year, never got to ride it. Always in the shop.
I'm glad you teamed up with Jay (SupRBee) , he is local and he has all the local 411 info. For anyone who wants to know, he resides at the Study Butte RV Park and is always open for campfire visits.
I swear when you mentioned castration that’s goats head turned around and said “wait wait wait I’ve already been gone done that lady” 🤔🤔🤔 ride safe 🙏🙏🙏👍👍👍👍
Awesome video, Rich and Chris! I'm riding down to Big Bend in May and will only be staying two nights. Clearly not enough! Hope to stay at Chisos Basin campground (if the paving is done!) and will tour Terlingua and Santa Elena. Really looking forward to it!! x Nancy
Thought I'd watch one of your vids to get motivated to leave on a 6 day trip today. Got a KLR, but interested in Beemers and watched "Highland Rider" talking about BMW issues.
I love your videos, stories and your relationship and have so enjoyed watching you since the beginning. My question is you occasionally mention leaving a location, like Beg Bend with much riding left undone. Do yo leave to keep with some sort of schedule or is it purely just your ready to move on with the thought of returning someday? Curious minds want to know, 😂
Rich & Chris, you guys mentioned that you probably need some Training on the Off-Road. If you didn't know about it, check out ZAKAR - Overland Terrain Park and Event Center, owned by Rawhyde Adventures located on 100 acres in heart of the Great Mojave Desert, just 2 hours north of Los Angeles. "Doodle on a Motorcycle", another video blogger posted a video recently about her visit out there. Check it out. And, since you guys are kinda Famous, you might be able to get a cut-rate deal on the Training / Riding if you feature them on your channel. ;-0
God bless the two of you in Jesus Christ Holy Name! 🙏 you two are an enigma of infinite possibilities!. I would be so very grateful if you could find a way in your heart to join my enigma. I'm putting together a monumental and historical ride unlike any undertaking ever done. "The See the Light motorcycle tour " starting in Texas we'll head for the coast to visit all the Texas lighthouses, then Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, then every lighthouse between there and Maine, then run across to Niagara falls on to the Great then a long hard run to Alaska where we'll have to fairy to several lighthouses then Washington state heading south to Oregon and all points south till hitting the California Mexico border where we'll have a great celebration! I've gained the interest of film maker James Cameron. So this is a very real very doable undertaking. So take a moment and decide if you're in or if you're out
I just want to say, please don't ever take your videos and your adventures lightly. For people like myself, being a past rider and now disabled unable to ride. I want to tell you what a sense of a little that I'm out on these rides and adventures with you. Thank you, YF Rob

What a fun video love the burro ride and the trip over to Mexico. Also loved the story about the mayor that’s a goat lol. 👍🏻❤️
I'm so glad you guys have your 360 camera setup right, I see a lot of people have 360 and it does that fisheye crap and it about makes you sick
Yes the tiny planet lens.
After that meal it's a good thing you both ride solo 😝 Was 62° in Michigan yesterday so the bike came out for the first ride of the '22 season.
Nice finally warming up

We are doing great Thanks for checking in with Us.
Another park on my to visit list. I need to do a year of full time riding lol. Or two... or three...
Nice to see you on this channel, I love to follow yours also
Do the bikes have OBD 2 ports? There are little dongles that bluetooth to your phone so you can reset the errors yourself.
When I crossed at algadonis. I could bring one bottle of liquor back. Per day.
Yes but in Boquillas there is no way for Border patrol to charge tax so That crossing no alcohol
Welcome to Lajitas lol .
Cheers
What about Carlsbad Caverns while you are relatively close?
BMW's are lemons
Beautiful area. Hey Rich, did I miss an episode? When did you get rid of your Harley? Alan
If all politicians were animals we may love them.
Rich, I'm not sure how comfortable I would be if my wife reacted that way about the Clay Henry III story.
Thats funny
Hi there you 2 wheels Doug and Becky
He my there 👋👋
Correct me if I’m wrong but as you ride the bikes are your lights flashing? If so, how do you make that happen?
How do you explain Clay Henry IV?
Chuck Jones out there . Has been there and video, utube
I’ll check him out.
You need to wash your motorcycles. I still miss the harley.
🤝👍👍👍🤝❤️
What’s your hurry?
Hey there Edd

Will you be selling the bikes and getting burros now? 🤣
Was a passport required to cross over or was it just part of the park??
You needed the passport to return into the US
how much horsepower does a burro have lol
Harley deserters
You must be new here. I still have ms Alice and she needs a rebuild so Heidi here does really good in the dirt .
I just want to say, please don't ever take your videos and your adventures lightly. For people like myself, being a past rider and now disabled unable to ride. I want to tell you what a sense of a little that I'm out on these rides and adventures with you. Thank you, YF Rob
Thanks Rob. we appreciate the kind words.
So what was wrong with your bike?
More mayors could be in cages & do just as well. Lol
How can this be ? Only Harleys brake down or have problems. Lmao
Break down
I know right👍👍
I don’t understand why would you buy BMW ? There is so much reporting about how problematic they are……buy japanese next time please so we can enjoy your trips
