Thank you for talking about Palestine and having serious conversations. The Israeli soldier that killed my aunt Huda Hawarjeh in Aida refugee camp of Bethlehem Palestine smiled on camera and said he was purifying the land. So many things that were never on camera and they would say it didn't happen, but this was on camera. The CBC news report with the interview I have uploaded to my channel on youtube for the world to see.
How much disgusting behavior has come from the Islamic and Arab world, but since you all can rarely self criticize, the rot continues, and others increase recognition the infection must be combated.
@@boxcutter0 I appreciate your openness so that the world can see. Over 500 Palestinian villages were destroyed from 1947-1949 during the creation of Israel. If this happened to yourself or your family then what would you do?
41:22 - brilliant answer summarizing the problem of Unifying the Palestinians - not a piece of cake. The invaders are defeated or Oslo. 46:28 - another brilliant point about stop thinking about what the Palestinians think of Israel rather, what is Israel very important 54:15 - not religious conflict it is the nature of zionism
I've done some basic calculations on the question of Gazans deserving their fate for voting for Hamas and it really is quite stark what I found. The year Hamas was elected in 2006, the population of the Gaza strip was approximately 1.44 million people, with over 800,000 children under the age of 18 unable to vote. So with 600,000 eligible voters, if we assume voter turnout(77%) and votes by percentage (44%), were even across Palestine, that would mean just over 200,000 people would have voted Hamas in the Gaza strip throughout all the governates. Fast forward 18 years later, October 6 2023, the population of the Gaza strip is about 2.3 million, with over half being children under 18 years old(we'll call it 1.2 million). We know all the children under 18 on October 6, 2023 were born after the election of Hamas, and we know that there were around 800,000 children when Hamas was voted in, which leaves us with 2 million Gazans not having had the ability to vote for anyone, and about 300,000 people who were above the age of 18 in 2006, roughly 1/3 of which we can reasonably expect voted for Hamas, or about 100,000 people, or less than 5% of the population of the strip as of October 6 2023. None of this is to say that violence is earned because of who you vote for, by the way. If every man woman and child in Gaza had voted for hamas, it would still never justify the genocide of the people of Gaza, period.
Gazans are supposed to be responsible for a one-time election 15+ years ago whereas Israelis are never ever hold to account for electing 25+ years every 2/3/4 years governments in place who ALL without a single exception choose to confiscate more lands of Palestinians, demolish Palestinian houses, expel Palestinians and then replace them by Jews eventually……which is clearly a policy of ethnic cleansing that’s the result of 25+ years of democratic elections. Fucking hypocrites here in the West.
Dr. Azam has to have a lot of interviews as he says.. which gives clarity on so many aspects on hamas fatah or other resistance movements but more so palestinians as a whole.. what they really want for them.. i think that is more important.. i belive that the “day after” is to form a sectoral representations in a coalition govt until an election could be achieved..but i guess this cant come to fruition unless the zionist ideoly is dismantled.. thank you so much for these discussions that makes my mind work under such circumstances.. Dr. Azam was great!
Great discussion 👏 People are ready to learn these histories + to better understand the origins of all this hate + misinformation. Important to link the current crisis with South Africa, Algeria, Egypt + others… also might want to include what happened with Mosadegh as part of the ties to hegemony ✊
There are women journalist in Gaza and some of them wear head covering and some not, which suggests that it is a question of their personal choice or custom of the community they belong to.
Ernest Bevin, UK Foreign Secretary at the time the Palestine issue was passed to the UN (ie before the State of Israel existed) said: “This conflict is incapable of resolution. The first and overwhelming priority of the Jews is to have a Jewish state. The first and overwhelming priority of the Arabs is that the Jews should not have a Jewish state.” Sadly, it has continued so to this day. For all his eloquence and fluency, Dr Tamimi shows the same lack of strategic judgment which has characterised (and continues to characterise) successive generations of Palestinian leadership, and which has served the cause of ordinary Palestinians so badly. The wholly unrealistic expectation of Dr Tamimi that the Palestinians can return to pre-48 Palestine, cancel Israel as a Jewish state, and effectively turn back the clock is not a vision ... it is a fantasy ... and a cruel fantasy at that, which has led to such terrible suffering to normal Palestinians.
It is not a fantasy. It’s justice, and it will prevail despite your need to see it otherwise. They have been invaded. They want what is theirs back. Not a fantasy. And the world is united behind them. Your imperialists are what kept justice and truth from being served.
i hope to see more of your eloquent comments dear Charles. i wish there could be others like you to have serious discussions with about israel-palestine. no one wants to admit these truths. a lot of this war and suffering could have been avoided...learning the real history behind this conflict woke me up. how can so many believe the lying narratives surrounding the nakba, and why aren't more people held accountable for spreading these lies? don't the palestinian people (whom all of this is supposedly about) deserve better?? what kind of a future is war and martyrdom?
UNSC rules provide that a party to a conflict cannot Veto a resolution, with US being undoubtedly a participant , with intelligence and military direct support, US should not be able to veto a resolution for direct military intervention to protect Gaza from IDF and insure access to aid.
On the question of the rights of queer people, my understanding is that there are palestinian queer activist groups in gaza and the west bank, and that delegations of queer activists do get invited to visit Palestine and they dont report being treated badly. I think it's also important to note that palestine never had a law criminalizing neing gay until the 1930s in mandate palestine, where the british made it illegal, but those laws were repealled in the 60s, more than 20 years before israel repealled the same laws in the entity. If we want to talk about violence against queer folks, lets talk about israeli intelligence unit 8200 which monitors gazan internet activity searching for people they can blackmail into becoming collaborators. One of the ways they do this, is by finding queer people, as well as violent homophobes, and they threaten the queer folks with outing them to the violent homophobes if they dont collaborate. My reading of the situation is that while it may not be as accepted as it may be here, the vast majority of people are happy to live and let live, and more than that, i think people in gaza know generally who is gay and who is a homophobe (i always hear gaza cant keep secrets), and it doesnt seem like the average citizen is outing gay people to the homophobes. In fact, i cant find an example of that(which isn't to say it doesnt exist at all, just that its so rare that its really difficult to research.) If i had to choose, as a visibly queer person, between going to the USA and Palestine, i may honestly choose Palestine.
RFK Jr is pro israel by the way unlike his late father and uncle who knew that israel was a threat to America national security, that isreal endangered world peace and security, that israel could never trusted.
The tragedy is that the Palestinians could have had 80% of Mandate Palestine (1937 Peel Commission) and then 50% (1947 UN Partition, and their 50% excluded the Negev desert). Now, they'll be lucky to get 20%. The Palestinians go on and on about the Nakba as though they were the only people in history to suffer an injustice. At the same time as the Nakba, 700,000 Jews were forced to flee the Arab countries of the Middle East ... since then, no dedicated refugee agency for the Jewish refugees; not one Jewish refugee camp; not one $ of UN aid to the Jewish refugees; and not one claim by Jewish refugees for right of return to their countries of origin. Instead of wallowing in victimhood, they got on with their lives. If the Palestinians had only done the same, what a wonderful and thriving state they could have had by now.

What is your youtube channel? I would like to share it. Social media has shown the brutality of the IDF. It has opened our eyes.

there is religious zionism, and political zionism....political zionism is about big oil & big banking.

The Palestinians rightfully treat Israelis like the enslaved people in Haiti treated the French.
