i really like beyond birthday’s character, he’s so sinister and gloomy and it makes him entertaining. i knew since the beginning of another note [ *spoiler* ] that it wasn’t L but BB bc his acts seemed disturbed, too weird to be L. the fact that his ost has L’s ost behind tells us how L became his obsession, how he posed at him, how he’s so mentally deranged and that is so obscure and dark yet fascinating. i may be the only one here that doesn’t actually really want an anime adaptation or anything of another note, bc i feel like it has to be read, a novel gives to the story a different atmosphere and that what makes death note another note much darker to me. * ^ *
cmon fuck me emo boy I agree with you, the reveal of Ryuzaki not being L but rather BB isn’t something that could transfer into anime quite as easily. Not to mention that is rather violent for a Death Note story. So all in all it’s better kept within the novel but I really do wish they could pull it off in an anime or manga.
I don't think an anime would be as good as the book, but I still want one so I can see a scene of bb crawling on all fours through a crime scene, or that scene where both naomi and bb sit like L to increase their deduction skills.

A few months ago I was listening to L theme and this came on I almost shat myself it was so creepy so I got the novel I gotta say this needs its own spin of series or manga
I just finished the Beyond Birthday light novel and I must say it is brilliantly done. I remember the episode when L was talking to the wammy kids and described what he fears most would be a monster who always told lies and that if he ever encountered such a monster he would be eaten by it. ***SPOILER*** BB literally copied L to every odd tendency, behavior and way of thinking; BB's entire being was a lie just as his time solving the case with Misora he continued to lie and was not suspected till the end. The author truly does make you believe that BB is in fact L because of how well he imitated L. Praise BB, the Mad Predecessor lol!
He even copied the name L uses at the start of Death Note to fool Light. Also what's more mysterious is how did BB know what L look liked and how he dresses, what he eats, etc in the present day when no one has seen him.
Personally, i think BB should've replaced Near in the anime Adapation. I know, I know. it's supposed to be accurate to the manga and all, but having a criminal like him face off aganist somebody like Light would've been such a perfect battle.. And it would've made sense for him to use the underhanded tatics Near did to "Win" Aganist Light, even if it risked killing himself. Sadly it didn't happen, and the anime stuck a bit too close to the canon.

I just figured out something! The three best detectives, L, Eraldo Coil, and Ryuzaki all use to be real detectives. L as L Lawilet, Eraldo Coil as A, and Ryuzaki as BB (Beyond Birthday) In the end, A committed suicide, BB was killed by Kira when he was in prison, and L took all their names. Then he died...
I remember when i first listened to this 9 years ago when I was 11 years old. I can say for sure now that this is a core memory for me and whenever I think of death note I always come back to this theme. Best fanmade theme btw 😁
He heavily underestimated the enemy right in front of him. (Naomi misora in this case) with the intent to outwit L first, that was the catalyst of his blatant and predetermined defeat. Pointed out by mello the narrator of the story.

I like this theme. It's based on L's so technically a copy, but it has an eerie and more haunting and suspenceful tone to it. The theme best describes Beyonds' character.

Wow really that's amazing! I kind of tried re-creating L's theme myself on audacity but it sounded nothing like this. The version you made sounds like it had more notes, you really did great work. I don't how you did it but you did excellent to the point it sound like an original piece rather than the common low tempo and pitch everyone else does.

I like this theme.
It's based on L's so technically a copy, but it has an eerie and more haunting and suspenceful tone to it.
The theme best describes Beyonds' character.

Wow really that's amazing! I kind of tried re-creating L's theme myself on audacity but it sounded nothing like this. The version you made sounds like it had more notes, you really did great work. I don't how you did it but you did excellent to the point it sound like an original piece rather than the common low tempo and pitch everyone else does.
I wonder if Ryuzaki Rue was L's nickname taken by BB in order to copy him even better, or if L taken BB's nickname as a tribute to such a mastermind.

He probably knew everything about L's very existence
Lastly I will say he wanted to frame L that was his plan.
