So over the forced commercials you all do. 🤦🏼♂️
Another negative review since you guys keep forcing these bs ads

Fast Lane x Redline collaboration! 🔥🔥
Absolutely loving this collaboration from 2 of the best in the industry! Thank you for this video.
my neighbor just got this, and i drove it yesterday its pretty quick and surprisingly OK offroad.......it doesnt have a rear diff lock or anything like that,BUT u can go offroad which is a HUGE step forward from the TOP GEAR episode 😄😄😄
LOVE the "Cross-Over" review !!! I watch both channels "religiously" and it's great to see the cooperativeness (is that a word -- I think so) between your two channels! Kudos to BOTH channels! We're all better for it!
Guys. You have chosen the best location to show this beast. Absolutely gorgeous backview is emphasizing the beauty of BMWX1.
My favorite X1 is still the one that was based on the 3 series.
The design of the front end is TIMELESS😎
If you didn't know better you'd think these two co-host all the time. So effortless.
My X1 with 18” wheels gets 22mpg in suburbia and 35mpg highway (at 75 mph)
Awesome review guys. We are looking at one here down under. They were only released here today…
Love the new X1!-- But they need to offer active cruise control with lane centering to make this an ideal roadtrip vehicle---
That is an option.
They do 👍
The back of the X1 is very XM influenced... I like it.
I think this is the nicest looking SUV in BMW's lineup. A shame they aren't bringing the iX1
thank god its not the same design as the 7 series and the x7
@Fast Line Car 05:47 i want to correct you here, the first BMW without i controller is the BMW active tourer launched back in 2021.
You two are great doing a review! Nice work.
This is the best in class for me
They got rid of the shifter they use in their other models. Maybe customers complained that they were very annoying to use, and they wanted a solution without going back to using a mechanical shifter. But IMO, a rotary shifter would have been better and idiot-proof.
Wait you’re SPONSORED by a car brand? Is that the definition of conflict of interest on doing car reviews?
That’s just the state of UA-cam nowadays. I mean, tech UA-camrs are sponsored by phone companies all the time.
I know it seems minor, but there is a significantly small amount of front row storage. There is no coin type storage area under the AC, and the center console space is non existent. Big problems for me.
have they toned down the size of the kidney grill.. or are we just used to it now??
She looks superb... Except for that front grill. I realize that's BMW design language, but it still looks odd to me. Maybe I could learn to love it? I thought it funny about the Crosstrek comparison, because that's what I thought when I saw the color of the car. I'm interested to see one in person, look forward to seeing how it does off road as well.
Nice but need separate aircon controls
Pretty cool! It just might fit the bill for me!
That color is pretty cool.
NIce duo!! Thx!
BMW lost me at the retail price. $48K is a bit too much for something you compared with a Subaru Crosstrek that can be had fully loaded for about $35K.
That European "cache" isn't worth that much any longer.
Well…. The crosstrek can’t get out of its own way when you press the throttle. I loved the crosstrek but dam it needs so much more power to be a contender.
@@aussie2uGA
True, but you'd be surprised how little it matters to most people, especially those who purchase cars instead of leasing and how expensive it can be to fix even minor things on a BMW out of warranty.
Crosstrek is a fine hatchback but that’s not really this competitor. It’s smaller, (very) less powerful and the interior quality isn’t great. Again, fine car but you’re comparing non-luxury brand to a luxury one.
@@Jacobk66
I wasn't really comparing them, the two guys mentioned the two cars in the video.
For $48K there are a lot of other compelling midsize SUVs. The X1 is for people for whom a brand is more important value.
I agree i think my mazda cx-30 looks better then this and i only paid $25k for it. Plus it's got a naturally aspirated engine so i don't have to worry about about the turbo blowing up lol.
Pretty good but I am not sure about the transmission. DCT is not good for slow uphill creeping driving.
Agreed
Being a large improvement over the previous version isn't saying much at all. Using the mini architecture.
My two favorite guys together! Are they planning on a remake of the X2?
yea its already being spotted
4:25. Anyone notice the outside door handles are not the grab style that almost every car has now but rather the 80s - 90s flush/pull style? Maybe trying to look like the new electric cars with the flush mounted door handles.
So are the new 4 Series Gran Coupe and 2 Series Coupe’s. They’re fine but take getting used to again.
Actually the X1 handles are flush and lift up when fingers underneath. Very easy to use.
I oen the M35i version of this car, my biggest regret is AUTO Stop/Start, I hate it with all my heart and then when you put it in sport to get rid of it, the engine is too snappy and is always in hight rev.
I was not aware of this when I bought it, I was too excited about the look and the M Batch.
Other than that great car! Specially on highways
So I don’t remember hearing about any subscription to unlock built in features? Are there any?
Does Nissan have any other commercials besides that one? 😂
It's unfortunate, when an auto journalist gives in to poor design. Integrating physical controls into the touch screen only benefits automakers. They don't pass the savings of eliminating the physical controls to the buyer. More importantly, is the strong correlation of touch controls with cellular phone use while driving.
I know right! if i had to drive with a bid tablet infront of me i would go nuts! I think my smartphone is enough of touch screen for me. Bring back the analog gauges lol! Thankfully, my mazda cx-30 still has fairly normal looking gauges except for the speedometer being digital but looks like analog atleast lol.
I agree with You.
👍
BMW is RWD bias... like the 2-series sedan this is a Mini not a BMW. I will still take the E84 X1 over this anytime.
1:13 isn’t that right headlight already faded?
Would u choose the new X1 or present Evoque?
Nice collab, btw!!!
Super handsome for sure. The mini chassis, not so happy ?
How is the seat width? I know the last generation was kinda slim, so just wondering if the widened the seats at all?
The phone holder is surprisingly unimaginative! Seat covering creasing is immediately obvious. Lots of new features but the design is lacking the classic BMW style. BMW finally added Android Auto. Too many distractions having to directly reach up and touch the screen. BMW needs to stand out from the crowd, not try to bland in!
Congratulations Sofyan on the iPhone 14 pro max 😛
Taller cars have body roll issues, is that contained in x1?
Now i have a 128 ti, a very cool BMW, next would be the new X1 !!! Great Job...BMW
A premium luxury SUV for under $40,000?
I'll take one.
No one is getting one for under $40k. BMW nickel and dimes on options, so expect more like $42k+ for anything but a barebones model.
@@VideoAmericanStyle You can order one without options for under $40,000
@@TomTom-gn9mp yes, that’s exactly what I meant. Without ANY option checked and a basic paint/trim, you’re looking at an MSRP of a hair under $40k. Realistically, though, no one wants a barebones X1 and dealers won’t have them on their lots. It’s fair to say this is a low to mid 40k vehicle - and to be honest, “premium luxury SUV” is a stretch too. I’d call it more of a “mid-luxury sport crossover”.
@@VideoAmericanStyle It's a premium Luxury vehicle that offers 2 add on packages and paint that is usually $650 extra. I don't need more bells and whistles than this vehicle already has.
@@VideoAmericanStyle These vehicles as with virtually every vehicle these days are special ordered so therefore you are not stuck with any upselling with the dealers adding a bunch of options. It has more than enough tech that I will ever need standard. This isn't 1990 when you have to pay extra to get power windows.
In south América only 4x2 s drive 1.8 three cylinder 150 hp 😔
who needs an X3! 😂
Front grill = Hideous. Can’t imagine how the design team thought that this would look good
😮 45 grand? That’s half the price we pay in Western Europe . Absolute bargain if you buy an car in the states..
sooo wich BMW model can I fit with big offroad tires?
Does this have gesture controls? Like volume and next track
Tommy and the mom jeans!
Why did they get rid of physical buttons for climate control. I hate when they make everything touch.
no slip test?
Had no idea high water pants were back in fashion.
Being touted as an SUV losing its proper torque converter transmission and especially losing all the critical physical knobs for hvac and stereo controls, etc, BMW you've lost me on this one. Get the countryman instead.
Nissan is the sponsor well that’s petty 😂
I'd pocket the money and get a Mazda CX-5!! but I admit it looks nice from the outside.
The grill looks like sunglasses
“Real colors” I’ve never hear of Utah orange?
WHATS THE POINT OF PAYING FOR UA-cam PREMIUM IF YOU GUYS BEEN SHOVING ADS ON US
IVE BEEN WATCHING YOU GUYS FOR OVER 10 years and I might unsubscribe
And a car brand ad at that! How can you be impartial while being sponsored by a car brand? Tire brand/accessory/insurance/etc are fine, but once you cross the being sponsored by a brand of something you’re supposed to review it and it’s competition you can start questioning if they are being honest.
Looks like a Buick. Remove badges and grille
TOP 👋👍
I don't like the color. I would prefer it in Blue.
Aren’t these basically a Mini in a BMW suit?
It’s actually cheaper than a comparable Mini though! 😂
Mini has a different and much less powerful engine.
Shares a platform, yes. But the Mini Countryman is about 7 inches shorter, has a different engine, interior/exterior design, etc.
Drive it cmon
it will run ok until warranty expires.
Time to comine
What is the genitalia drawing adolescent doing in a TFL review?
DCT for offroader?!…sh&!
It looks hideous bmw what are you doin.
Why does this thing even exist. It's not a good sedan... .. And it's certainly not good at off road... What a waste.
It’s a hatchback with better ingress/egress. It’s a good entry level luxury option. BMW sedans can’t fit child car seats as effectively as this can
BMW It's not reliable.
Come on Tommy, you do a great job, don’t need a pillow bitter co host !
EV'S are junk
