I love coyote calling. However, grinding it out in that weather for 3 days to kill maybe 2…at that point I start thinking about staying by the fire. Great vid!
You all gave it your best and it shows how things can go. It's getting close to their breeding season so after this next blast of snow and cold I'll try getting out.
Can't go wrong with Harvesters in Pettibone! Thanks for a taking a trip up to the north country Geoff, need to come a little farther west in ND next time though!
dang! tough goin and kudos for stickin it out. reminds me of every time I go, even with ideal conditions. nice to see some others finally suck too. Rockin the Revolt.
Another kick ass video Geoff! Explaining your tactics is always so helpful. I probably sit far too long on some stands. However, one spot I go, I consistently get them in around 20-25 minutes. Not sure why.
Great video. I do the same thing when I’m on a coyote hunting on windy days with only a hotel room to go back to 😂. When I’m close to home I go home and drink coffee and hang out with my wife and kids on days like that.
I'd be curious to hear what the guys think about more recent reports showing how coyote hunting isn't really all that effective and translates into higher populations the following year. The opposing argument being that you aren't going to eradicate coyotes and they're native to many US states anyway, but thinning out local areas allows other wildlife to thrive without so many top predators roaming around.
This is usually how my stands go. I appreciate you showing the good, bad & the ugly.
Id much rather spend 2 days in that weather having a good time with friends than 2 good weather days at work.
You got that right!
The bad with the good. I love it. It ain’t ever easy. Thanks.
So true!

Wow what tough conditions. At 22:45 it appears that the wind is howling hard but it also looks to be right at your back.
Great shots as always!
Thanks so much for the tips. I live less than an hour from Pettibone.
