    what are the measurements of the pallets before you cut them? what are the measurements after you cut them for width and heights once assembled. what are the lengths of the support pieces at the bottom and the angles of the cuts, etc

    Yes! this is what i have been looking for! i am building a backdrop for a gun show (we sell shooting gear) and i designed it but i had to research it to make sure i got the right brackets & everything - I watched a bunch of tutorials - but yours is soooo helpful & that LOCK is brilliant and using nuts & bolts so that it's more mobile - mind blown!!!! i wasn't sure how I was going to secure it - seriously so smart! I am excited to build this!!! Also, watching you use that saw made me less scared of it... lol I've used a miter saw but I am terrified of saws! lol I need to get over it because i LOVE building stuff. anyway, LONGEST comment ever - but thank you so much! I'm totally subscribing!

      We are so happy this was helpful to you! Mom has been scared of the miter saw for a while too! In this video around 1:50 she shares how she faced it head on: ua-cam.com/video/6Bycsj-lnl8/v-deo.html. Good luck with the build- let us know how it goes! -Steph

    Use butterfly latches. The kind you find on heavy duty road cases for musicians/DJs etc. You can get fairly big butterfly catches.
    They flip over like the one you have, but follow with a twist action that pulls the two halves together. Then the "butterfly" handle snaps flat to make it neat.

      I was going to say the same thing! exactly what I was looking for that is portable and not different or bulky! I am confident I can push this and carry this into place at my craft shows when my husband can't be there to help! thank you SO much!!!

    What keeps it from falling forward? I want to build one with some shelves but worried about it falling forward with the supports only on the back (but I prefer that).

    • @MotherDaughterProjectsDIY
      @MotherDaughterProjectsDIY  4 роки тому

      The hinges on the back keep it from falling forward. -Steph

      @@MotherDaughterProjectsDIY Well I am building one right now fo rmy YT channel backdrop so we will see how it goes :) Thanks! Love your videos. OH but I mean keep the WHOLE thing from falling forward, not just the top half :) Looks like you have it slightly leaning backward so that probably helps :)

    • @MotherDaughterProjectsDIY
      @MotherDaughterProjectsDIY  4 роки тому

      Awesome! Good luck with the project! Oh...well, we thought it would fall forward too but the base really holds it in place. We also keep some stuff stored on the back of the base so that helps. -Steph

      @@MotherDaughterProjectsDIY I built it last night, well part of it. I still need to put the stand on it..it was much heavier than I thought lol..dragged it into my office to see how it sized up and man that was tough. Realized once I got it in here I had no way to stand it up had to slap some 2x4's as a makeshift base temporarily lol..and I can't move it back to garage without too much trouble haha! OOPS! Looks nice, just needs the stand/wheels and then sand and stain =D

    Do you think this concept would work to create a "champagne wall?"

    • @MotherDaughterProjectsDIY
      @MotherDaughterProjectsDIY  2 роки тому

      I had to look to see what a champagne wall is. But having seen one now, I do think with modification, this idea might just work.

    • @dreyes1982
      @dreyes1982 Рік тому

      Tyler - did you ever do the champagne wall? I am going to try to build one using this same technique, only difference is that I am going to use butterfly latches.
