I am generally a lyrics person but when it comes to Elton, I like the music better. This hits the spot.
Very Nice. Elton was brilliant. This music is timeless, to say the least. In his early period, his producer hooked him up with the equally brilliant Paul Buckmaster who scored all of those beautiful String arrangements that had that "British" sound, and blended perfectly with Eltons' songs. (Who doesn't get goosebumps when they hear the intro to "60 Years On"?) The Slide guitar really stands out in this version, equally tasteful, and blends perfectly. I think they added some reverb to the Strings and guitars in "Post". This song is nearly 50, and has not lost any of it's magic!
Was? Is! He’s still with us!
Elton IS brilliant
2:52 best orchestral part

Like that little part there
Absolutely wonderful version, the orchestra really stands out beautifully.
Lovely sound of the steel lap guitar is really evident here.
Agreed
Elton has had an incredible career.... His journey from humble beginnings to a world class composer.... A superstar of unequaled brilliance.... I find myself very fortunate indeed to have watched his meteoric rise from the beginning....
The vibe when your hard work has paid off
Blue-jean baby, L.A. lady, seamstress for the band
Pretty-eyed, pirate smile, you'll marry a music man
Ballerina, you must've seen her dancing in the sand
And now she's in me, always with me, tiny dancer in my hand
Jesus freaks out in the street
Handing tickets out for God
Turning back, she just laughs
The boulevard is not that bad
Piano man, he makes his stand
In the auditorium
Looking on, she sings the songs
The words she knows, the tune she hums
But, oh, how it feels so real
Lying here with no one near
Only you and you can hear me
When I say softly slowly
Hold me closer, tiny dancer
Count the headlights on the highway
Lay me down in sheets of linen
You had a busy day today
Hold me closer, tiny dancer
Count the headlights on the highway
Lay me down in sheets of linen
You had a busy day today
Blue-jean baby, L.A. lady, seamstress for the band
Pretty-eyed, pirate smile, you'll marry a music man
Ballerina, you must've seen her dancing in the sand

Oh, how it feels so real

This piece is a great Jam track for playing lead guitar.
I'm a little new at this so I'm not sure what key it is in.
Also, the key changes at some point so I have a little trouble adjusting the scale shapes. S
till, a very goodacking track.
Nice work.
It's either C, or F/C for starters......
