It may be a bit late in the day, Heidi, but I used glycerine to turn craft card into faux leather, which I turned into a little notebook. I watched the advert! They are getting sneaky now! Have to sit through 2! I chose this video as my very first one because it's a really useful one, and it's short as I'm strapped for time .But I wanted to buy you a coffee. Times ARE very hard for everyone, but if I haven't stopped buying craft supplies, (Just changed where I buy them from), I can surely buy you a coffee now and then. I look forward to watching more of your videos. Thank you for all your hard work and dedication 🎉❤
Ohhhhh I like the sound of that.....did you just rub it in? I thought they always played 2 short videos ....I don't watch any videos....or very rarely....I don't have the time x Thank you so much love x
you mentioned this one in 1 of your other UA-cams so I came to check. I made my own stampcleaner before and almost ran out and forgot the directions on ho to make it. Thank you for sharing, love Carina
I have a spray bottle of water with just a little glycerine in it to spray card before going through an embossing folder, or when preparing card for use with Brushos or the like.Helps it disperse better. Also (from another crafter years ago), add drop of glycerine to blending sponges before the ink for a smoother blend.
@heidi-theyorkshirecrafter I should have mentioned that you put your ink on a glass mat or something (great with brush markers), rather than press the ink blender with glycerine, into the ink pad. I have the glycerine in a dropper bottle and put that on the glass mat too.
Been using this mixture for many a year and can vouch that it is wonderful. Cleans stamps very well, plus the glycerine keeps them supple. Don’t make a large amount much ahead of time as it can go mouldy. Thanks for sharing the recipe again.
Hi, I make my own stamp cleaner to I use the same items but not with rosewater. This would make it smell so good, Im about to order some now so thankyou for this I'll have my craft room smelling nice. Hoping to join you on your live , hopefully I don't just turn the alarm of & go back to sleep as it will be 2.30am here in South Australia.
Hi Heidi, thank you so much for sharing. I‘ve ordered some ingredients at amazon. Instead of rosewater I have chosen orangeflower. I will try it. 🥰 Merci, Birgit (from Germany) 😍💫
Hi Heidi the stamp cleaner works a treat thank you… I used to teach sugarcraft and we would use liquid glycerine in royal icing to keep it from going rock hard when you try to cut the cake! Also used it in some recipes for flower paste.. x
Hi Heidi, I was just making stamp cleaner.. you mentioned that you need distilled water!! Can you confirm that it is definitely distilled water or tap water please. Thank you ❤🙏🏾
Glycerine is used in baking. Mainly for Royal Icing but also to prevent sugar crystallisation in candy making, etc. Love this use for it though will have to give it a go, thanks.😉
If you wash a sheepskin rug you put it into the rinse water. Lanolin us lost when you wash it and glycerin keeps it safe and the skin does not go hard x
Hi Heidi glycerine has a multitude of uses it conditions stamps can be used to refresh your embossing pad it’s used to make homemade ice cream to name a few. The frugal crafter on UA-cam gives a really comprehensive list u should look her up
You seen me using the gina k tidy towel but you can use almost anything. Chamois for cars is another good one. I even got a cheap version from temu that works fine x
Try smoothing on a little glycerine on your lips hourly til bedtime. Hopefully the dryness will have gone by morning. Good luck with your live show. Kind regards Jackie M😊
You can use the glycerine to emboss. I do that when I wan’t to emboss cardstock I want to die-cut out. Thank you for the cleaner recipe. I love rosewater ❤️
I use liquid glycerin to top up my embossing pad

Sounds great and is easy. Does it work on archival inks as well?
I don't have archival but it works perfect on versfine clair which is permanent x

You seen me using the gina k tidy towel but you can use almost anything. Chamois for cars is another good one. I even got a cheap version from temu that works fine x
