I don’t think John is dead due to the location of the bullets. Caine shot John in the same spots as the doctor told John to shoot him at the start of the third film
If you didn’t catch it in the movie, there was a bit of dialogue before or in the church where John talks to Caine and implies there’s a way they can help each other. John and Caine colluded to rig the duel - and Winston was probably the one who figured out the loophole. The Marchese tried to make the duel a binary outcome by using Caine’s daughter as leverage to force Caine to duel John. Caine, John, and Winston realized they could all get what they wanted by working together because they all hated the high table. Winston likely came up with the plan where John would be in a position to kill the Marchese. Neither Caine nor John would go for lethal shots, and John wouldn’t shoot on the third round to lure the Marchese in for the coup de grace. Remember that Caine demanded that the Marchese free him and his daughter before he handed his pistol over, and the Harbinger witnessed the Marchese agree. Only once Caine got the guarantee he wanted, he gave his pistol to the Marchese. Winston then distracted the Marchese by mocking him, and John shot him with his third bullet to win. Yes, Caine’s bullets were all in non-lethal areas. And if it wasn’t clear that they were colluding, Caine helped John get to the top of the stairs so that the plan could be put in motion. I think Winston masterminded this whole scheme - he’s a chess player. My theory is that John is alive for any potential 5th movie, and the grave was put up as cover to make people think that he died, so he could leave the underworld.

I absolutely love this series. I can't think of another series that compares to this in terms of successive storytelling and creativity. I really hope we get more. I watched it 3 times over the weekend and took my daughter the third time. Our showing was at midnight and she was glued to the screen the whole time, hard for a kid with such a long movie, but John Wick commands attention! I still have the visual of the bad guy with the arrow in his knee, pinning him up, after being shot in the head by John burned into my eyes. Such a badass moment, dude was just hanging out. :)
This really has some of the best action set pieces in the franchise. Keanu & Donnie are absolutely astounding as well as Hiroyuki in his brief screen-time; massive props to the stunt performers who have to do the even tougher moments. And Chad Stehelski continues to be a grand action director; little wonder he’s been Keanu’s friend for almost 25 years. And RIP to the great Lance Reddick
There was a theory put forth by some that John Wick unofficially takes place in the Matrix universe and that John Wick is actually Neo who was placed back in the Matrix and since he is "the one", he is capable of extraordinary feats. While this is just a theory, there are plenty of supporting details. For example, both universes feature allies that are named after Greek mythology, which each have very specific connotations. In the Matrix, Neo is befriended by "Morpheus", which according to Greek mythology is the "god of dreams." In John Wick, he is befriended by "Charon", who according to Greek mythology is the gatekeeper of the underworld. Kind of makes you think. There are other supporting similarities, but you can find videos on youtube that go over them all. While this is most likely just coincidences, its very intriguing.
Yeah no meaning in John Wick's dog getting a close up for no reason at his grave. He's dead because 3 gunshot wounds from a blind man reliant on the sound that John makes to aim. Meaning John was in full control of where he got shot. Yeah, they were just showing us their shoes scrape across pebbles for fun. Like everything in this movie is a clue to a deeper meaning. In the end, Caine was the one clinging to the dead, himself and his old life. It's gone, it's been gone, and it's never coming back. John actually gets to go free after he himself kills John Wick and fully gives up that life. Anything else would be betraying his oath to live on to honor his dead wife. People just refuse to pay attention and consume the obvious.
@@CodeguruX woah nice analysis but chill a little, not everyone will have seen it like that because it was going pretty fast! It’s understandable if many think he’s gone, it was made out to seem that way at face value!
Something off to the left ABSOLUTELY gets the Dog’s attention. If you remember at the end of 3, the dog sensed Wick fell and was being taken to the Bowery king, and ran out of the continental, right to Wick in the shopping cart. I believe that, the “who knows” as to where he is, and the King’s laugh after realizing it’s a fake, points to him alive. Also, Lionsgate isn’t going to let them get away with not making a part 5.
Loved this series of movies. And as much as I'd watch John Wick 10, I think John passing away on his terms (sort of since he was pushed back into everything, but playing out the hand your dealt) is a way that works. If he's found alive I hope it's a quiet life of peace to finish days. I had always wondered if it was going to end as John becoming the new Elder. Since they couldn't beat him they'd offer him the top spot as a token. But I don't think he'd have accepted. I can only imagine a high table and vast underworld being ruled by John Wick.
Really loved the action scenes AND the twists & turns in the plot. Ending where the Marquis was tricked into picking up pistol 4 Coup de Grace & shot POINT BLANK by JW; even from JW's left hand
absolutely love this universe. i'm usually not really a fan of action movies, but i've been hooked on this franchise since John wick 1. i'm excited that there are some spin offs in the works and potentially a 5th movie.
I still remember seeing the first John Wick, it could have been another passable summer action flick. But now we got a solid franchise that's managed to pull out 4 solid films. Also on the point of the franchise honouring the old Martial arts and preserving action, you missed to mention how it also evolved how Hollywood handle guns, no more infinite ammo as John runs out of ammo several times and we get to see how technically satisfying tactical reloads are as well. It's almost a martial art in itself. We get hollywood finally paying attention to how guns should be handle from firing stances, forms, how platforms like rifles and shotguns are reloaded. Down to pistols.
Excellent recap! I discovered aspects previously unrecognized by me. Thank you for such an indepth look. I haven't seen Ch. 4 yet, but will shortly. Thanks again! Great job!
If the Academy Awards don't have the sense to create a category that awards stunt work/choreography, then something is wrong. The cinematography and action in this movie is on another level.
Personally I would like a prequal showing John's impossible mission to get out. Have John, Koji and Kaine all teaming up to help John get out of the life, and John needing to go to Santino for help.
9:57 I don't remember it being about killing a member of the high table. I remember the contract was because he broke the rules of the table. He killed table members before without getting a contract. He just has to deal with that members crew.
I actually like to think the 1st movie is the results of all these others happening, I know that's not the case but I actually like the narrative that Vigo tells the story of John Wick and why he was so feared and he says what John did laid the very foundation of what they became. I actually think that would make the most sense especially cause in the first movie he constantly is saying he is retired, so everything is leading up to that first movie. Especially because it is stories of how one man did an impossible task, getting out when none of them could only to be roped in that all he wanted was what was taken from him. I absolutely love the movies though and I do enjoy how they were written :) I'm no writer so I'm sure it wouldn't fit as much as I would like to think.
John Wick 5 should be a prequel showing all the nice guy shit John did to earn all these favors that happened in the previous films. He helps Lawrence Fishburn move on a Saturday and brings a pizza. He watches Halle Berry's dogs for a couple of weeks while she's away. Fixes Winston's bad back... What a great guy...
This was so well explained. I watched it as an action flick but explained it so deep that I have to rewatched this series with new eyes. Well done! Subbed!
Really enjoyed the ending of this series with John Wick 4. Such a great end for John and beyond glad the Marquee got his dome rocked! I just wish he would’ve suffered a bit more.
I believe the ending was more symbolic of them burying that part of John Wick tied to the High Table since he finally got out. From a story point of view, John has yet to fulfill his goal of killing all those involved. Also Caine shot John in the same spots the doctor told him to in the previous movie 😏
Hi Mr Niyat, how’s everything man? Brilliant video by the way. I love movies like these. The John Wick series. Yes, absolutely R.I.P to Mr Lance Reddick. Gone too soon. How do you think the next 2 Mission Impossible films will fair against John Wick Chapter 4?👍🏾
I really hope that they do a movie or series around Caine I truly believe he is the better of the two out of John. Thank you again for another amazing video on an awesome world FCE, hoping you are well! 😊
He’s the same as John. Both are killers that later found something that made them want to leave the organization. Except he’s blind and accepted the contract to kill John, maybe at the expense of his daughter.
Also, the only other person that could come close to the blind assassin that Donny Yen played is Rutger Howard in the movie Blind Fury. Even the cane sword carried over beautifully. Caine’s character felt like a small homage to that film!
let’s not forget the supporting actors that are trying to make their way into american action films which has promise for more international actors that have yet been seen
17:58 not only that but able to move and react so fast that the camera isn’t able to see them move unless they force themselves to slow down, meanwhile I’m hobbling around like an old man when I’m in my 40s, granted I’m disabled but still it’s both sickening and funny on a cosmic level seeing someone that’s on his way to been double my age that’s a motion blur to the human eyes.
Would love for Keanu to do a remake of Hardboiled, would be amazing. Or maybe A Better Tomorrow with him and Tom Cruise in the Chow Yun Fat role. I like JW as its more of the energetic gun fights seen in old John Woo movie.
'The Highlander' references. The Gathering, the hotels being neutral ( like the churches) where no killing is allowed, A final duel where there can be only one survivor( they even said it in the movie), just outside of a church (Holy Ground) and featuring Clancy Brown (The Harbinger) who played the Kurgan.
The part about about the shaky cam with multiple cuts vs wide angle, clear cuts make me see it as a fight is quick and violent, therefore you may not see everything and it is over quick. John Wick uses clear fight scenes, like they are focused and seeing everything all while it goes down. If that made sense.
I sincerely hope that a John Wick 5 comes along and that he and Winston and the masters can find a way to end this story that in way that is good for the world.
I wish the movies would deepen a lot more within the whole character and world beyond even pure action scenes. I am left wanting more after watching all four chapters. I must say that the fact of having seen a mobile notification that the fifth was in the making, left me unaware of what I had just witnessed at the end of the fourth chapter. At any time I believed what was presented really.
Fantastic Man !!! This was dynamite!!! Thank you so much!!! Yes this movie was just incredible and I agree it’s just insane how it’s so ridiculous but they pull it off. They really do. Even the continuous rolling down the steps was fun and palatable as it served the purpose of having to restart from a level like a video game. Thank you so much for clearing up why he owed a blood oath to Santino. I didn’t know and was forever frustrated with the loose end. No more loose ends thanks to you and this video. My son hasn’t seen this one so I’m going tonight to see it for a 2nd time.

There's no question where he went.. he went nowhere, since heaven and hell are imaginary.
Yes omg the Light Yagami death scene was so similar im glad someone else picked up on it.
@@simplylethul Or maybe John Wick went to Purgatory.
@@Darth_Vader258 also a made up place.
@@simplylethul That's just *YOUR* opinion.
Just saw this over the weekend.. It was entertaining and the tracker's dog was great to watch! Definitely a good sequel!! What's next in the series??😃
Continental Series
I absolutely love this series. I can't think of another series that compares to this in terms of successive storytelling and creativity. I really hope we get more. I watched it 3 times over the weekend and took my daughter the third time. Our showing was at midnight and she was glued to the screen the whole time, hard for a kid with such a long movie, but John Wick commands attention!
I still have the visual of the bad guy with the arrow in his knee, pinning him up, after being shot in the head by John burned into my eyes. Such a badass moment, dude was just hanging out. :)
You've heard of Clint Eastwood and Dirty Harry I hope.
I would love to see a prequel to the first movie. How he got out, where he started etc.
I’m just wondering who would play the young Keanu reeves
This is what I’d love to see as well. I’m fine with the ambiguous ending. I want to see that impossible task play out for real.
Thanks for your continuous love and support dear ❤️❤️
For how long have you been a fan of mine ??
I love the shoot out scene in the house where the camera was over the top and was shot in one take like a video game 🤩🤩
Well, it would certainly be a far better Matrix sequel than that last piece of shit we got, LoL.
What
If Hollywood still had balls, they'd pursue this and half the world would be pleased, I believe
❤❤🎉
I saw this in IMAX last Sunday. It was brilliantly well executed. Especially the scene with the overhead view.
OHHHH I LOVE THAT SCENE TOO
I was laughing through the whole thing because I legit felt like I was playing Diablo III.
In the end, the dog looks at something before his owner leaves with it, could that have a meaning because the dog gets a close up too.
Caine shoots John right where John shot Doc in JW3, to keep Doc out of trouble with the high table.
Dog spin-off?
Loved this series of movies. And as much as I'd watch John Wick 10, I think John passing away on his terms (sort of since he was pushed back into everything, but playing out the hand your dealt) is a way that works. If he's found alive I hope it's a quiet life of peace to finish days.
I had always wondered if it was going to end as John becoming the new Elder. Since they couldn't beat him they'd offer him the top spot as a token. But I don't think he'd have accepted. I can only imagine a high table and vast underworld being ruled by John Wick.
This is such a damn good movie. Everyone should go see this in Theaters. Just a masterpiece
Really loved the action scenes AND the twists & turns in the plot. Ending where the Marquis was tricked into picking up pistol 4 Coup de Grace & shot POINT BLANK by JW; even from JW's left hand
I think he is left handed. In the first movie he signs for Daisy with his left hand.
If Keanu doesn't want to continue being John Wick, Mr. Nobody could use a new name ;) .
@8:53- The expression on Gionna D'Antonio's face was priceless when she learned that _her own brother_ sent the Grim Reaper after her!
Doomsday Virus (DC)
Oooooo now that is a great idea. Get it Niyat
This John Wick movie/sequel was epic just like the previous 3 movies.
Facts Damian. Big facts!

absolutely love this universe. i'm usually not really a fan of action movies, but i've been hooked on this franchise since John wick 1. i'm excited that there are some spin offs in the works and potentially a 5th movie.
Thank you Lance for the Character you gave us.
Just realized Donnie Yen like playing the blind man. Like in the Rogue one
Yeah thats twice now! lol
Great job!
A masterpiece of a series, honestly don't think I've watched an action series that was so intoxicatingly brilliant.
Thanks for your continuous love and support dear ❤️❤️

If the Academy Awards don't have the sense to create a category that awards stunt work/choreography, then something is wrong. The cinematography and action in this movie is on another level.
Personally I would like a prequal showing John's impossible mission to get out. Have John, Koji and Kaine all teaming up to help John get out of the life, and John needing to go to Santino for help.
I'd love to see a prequel with John wick completing his impossible task.
I honestly had no idea they made a part for and I’m excited to watch it and I’m glad I had no idea. Because now I didn’t have to wait for it. Nice.
They could definitely make two handfuls of shows and movie spin offs from John Wick 4
I'd like to see Akira having her own spinoff. She seems to be an interesting character.
Best film essay ever no one has approached John's universe like that! Wonderful job.
Can't wait for the ballerina john wick spinoff
I love it. Keanu would not let those two Asians be killed in the script. What a great fight. Without dialogue you see the respect
The John Wick series summarized in 1 sentence:
“Vengeance is an idiots game.”
It's always a welcome sight to see that you have uploaded video!
Thanks for tuning in ATJonzie!
Keanu is a real man, this is the perfect ending to the series and no amount of money would entice him to ruin the francise.
And he’s such a dear man to those around him. He just bought t-shirts for the stunt team; cheekily they all list how many times they die 😅
Hiroyuki Sonata (deffo spelt wrong) steals the show every film he's in. Phenomenal actor.
9:57 I don't remember it being about killing a member of the high table. I remember the contract was because he broke the rules of the table. He killed table members before without getting a contract. He just has to deal with that members crew.
Man, the dragon fire sweep in the building and the homage to The Warriors was just too epic.
Would love to see him play Constantine again.
It was BREATHTAKING to see him kick ass one more time..I saw what you did there😊.. Please do an ending explained on The Neon Demon...
I really want that bulletproof suit
The best quadrilogy of all time? I think so.
Yessss I already loved the movies but you just made me love them EVEN more 😂 You literally covered everything great detail
For a man of a few words, John Wick knows a hell lot of languages including sign language. He is Mr. WORLDWIDE!
Well explained with accurate information and precise facts! Keep it up!
The greatest movie series of it's kind.
I absolutely love that little conversation he has... "that was a pretty good fight, eh?"
Well done! Subbed!
rest in power Lance, you were a Boss o7
It is weird in a way that his character is kilked in the movie. Talk about foreshadowing
Thank you for the specific breakdown from the first John Wick till John Wick 4...I enjoyed it
Hello 👋 greetings, nice to meet you how are you doing?
Really enjoyed the ending of this series with John Wick 4. Such a great end for John and beyond glad the Marquee got his dome rocked! I just wish he would’ve suffered a bit more.
I believe the ending was more symbolic of them burying that part of John Wick tied to the High Table since he finally got out. From a story point of view, John has yet to fulfill his goal of killing all those involved. Also Caine shot John in the same spots the doctor told him to in the previous movie 😏
Keanu Reeves is the best Batman we never got.

When Hiroyuki Sanada is in a movie, you know you’re gonna have a good time.
I think they will be great. Tom Cruise is also one of the last action heroes!
I really hope that they do a movie or series around Caine
I truly believe he is the better of the two out of John.
Thank you again for another amazing video on an awesome world FCE, hoping you are well! 😊
Agreed. There's definitely a few movies worth of stories there.
He’s the same as John. Both are killers that later found something that made them want to leave the organization. Except he’s blind and accepted the contract to kill John, maybe at the expense of his daughter.
In what sense 😅. A lower kill count? 🤣
I’m gonna be fully honest, I don’t mind if they milk this series for all it’s worth, Keanu is worth watching again and again, brilliant series.

I love the line by Fishburn, “Sometimes you got a cut a M’Fer”
Thanks for the look behind the scenes !!

Another great clip. Keanu really does kick ass
Would love for Keanu to do a remake of Hardboiled, would be amazing. Or maybe A Better Tomorrow with him and Tom Cruise in the Chow Yun Fat role. I like JW as its more of the energetic gun fights seen in old John Woo movie.
I’ve been hearing good things can’t wait to see it.
Ballerina sounds solid, they sold me on Continental with M.Gibson.

For how long have you been a fan of mine ?
The part about about the shaky cam with multiple cuts vs wide angle, clear cuts make me see it as a fight is quick and violent, therefore you may not see everything and it is over quick. John Wick uses clear fight scenes, like they are focused and seeing everything all while it goes down. If that made sense.
I loved this film
It's been with a heartfelt gratitude I wanna say thank you for your kind words.
Thanks for your love, care and support may God continue to bless you, where are you chatting from?
