They are very entertaining, when the males get a little bigger the two Alphas will square off in a tug of war by grabbing each other's bottom jaw, and will go at it till they're exhausted laying on their sides but still holding on, then go at it again. Lol, there's a lot of attitude in these little fish!
Dave Giles I plan to break up the males line of sight from one another with a few more rocks as soon as the snow melts here in Minnesota. We’re still in deep freeze Winter mode. Hopefully that will help, but I have heard the two dominate males will constantly pick fights with one another.
TM Aquatics yes I've had the dominate one kill other males, they go after the eyes, Anubis works well with the females once they have babies, but the males not part of the breeding or any juveniles will eat the fry if left in the same tank.

Just curious, the main 2 that you were filming in the middle using that shell, what sex did they end up being? And also did they ever pair up?
