R-E-S-P-E-C-T-!!!!!!!! Whooow. Wingtiptouch, handtouch and dry landing :O In the middle of nowhere. Next to catch the termal again and continue the XC :D
Someone's having fun there. Isn't is great to reach a skill level where things like groundspirals simply look easy and fun thing to do? Takes a lot of flying, feeling and commitment. Not your everyday's cup of tea. :D

@@PhilippeLarcher if you check the position of his head, that is even more unlikely, because it only moves as late as in the middle of the turn. You would expect him literally throwing himself to the right a second before the wing starts to react, right? I have to admit the wing is in a forward movement after pitching and in the process of gaining momentum which always has a positive effect on steering.
as stated before high energy (speed relative to air) and dynamic glider (a acro glider would be much more dynamic*) facilitate swift reorientation, however I feel like a lot of pilots assume weight shift is lobbing yourself to one side, you see this a lot on soaring sites that people focus on (apparently) being telegraphic (you can see them looking to one side, head long past the lines, legs crossed for max effect...) and the point they miss (try it ground handling) is that the different in carabiner height (difference to each other, relative to wing) is what matters So on a hammock style harness focusing on getting the outside buttcheek high willl allow you to do extreme weight shift while hardly moving your head. You can see this in turbulence, pilots of high AR wings will have their carabiners bobbing up and down to fly actively. I think it was weight shift *a nikita 4 (17m*2) spirals weigthshift only and a peak 4 (comparatively a truck) can certainly induce that kind of turn weight shift only
1 year late to this discussions. Completely agree with@@matiascorvinus1769 and I'll add that in a dynamic turn config like this, having the hand (and the body behind it) that far out, litterally dragging in the water, rate as a pretty radical weight shift.
why are you doing this in an off road location? if any hiker sees you going down like this, they would call the rescue team, because they fear you had some problem. There are lakes where everyone is spiraling down..
The most complete paraglider pilot in the world!!!!

Perfekt . Wer könnte es besser darstellen als Christian.
Herzlichen Dank.
That old English saying come to mind, "Bottle, Balls and a big bag of Talent" - Respect :-)
this is just incredible :), amazing skills

Que bueno video chevere..!
Uuyyyyy....Chevere..!!!! :)
Fucking incredible! Seriously the most incredible pilot in the world
Tellement incroyable ! Bravo !!
Knowledge, ability, training, and experience = competent 👌
Sehr schön Ein Kommentar von Chrigel wie er das fliegt wäre noch interessant, mit Beschleuniger ?
Absolutely stunning
Amazing vids, someone should record this flights in an outside view.
Will be espectacular......
0:30 how does he make a right turn of THIS magnitude with his right hand on the water instead of the brake? Weight-shift can't do this much.
apparently it can

@@thisisyol I guess with a ton of energy and a hot wing (and harness) the right input goes a long way

Oh my!....what a move. But as Graham written before - Dont try this at home!
Мастер своего дела!
the most of magic is in maurer's hands...
Oh ! There is a lake 😃 let's go 😂
Did you just weight shift towards the dry land after exiting the spiral ?
totally puzzled by this, too!
respect the master !
Over half the paragliding is what it is today because of this man
So ein geiles Video :)
incredible!
Good job 👍
where is that place? is awesome...
you can see the Matterhorn just before the landing
woooooow
That was scary!!😂👍
The best!
Damn nice!!!
Au top...
Oh come on man do something cool 😉. Respect
2 haters detected :D
