I’ve had the mower for about 2-3 yrs and the chainsaw for about 1 1/2 yrs. The mower came with a 6aH and the saw came with a 4 aH. I bought 2 of the aftermarket batteries and I haven’t seen any difference in the performance. The mower is used pretty much every week during the summer. I use all the batteries in rotation. Just as good as the originals.

it's a 4ah battery as others have said. biggest issue with these aftermarkets are their failure rates. have 4 of them and 2 of them failed with moderate use in roughly a year or less. factor in ryobi's warranty, i'm not sure if the aftermarkets are a better value. but the low initial cost feels nice.

You need to run each battery under a load to get an accurate comparison. always look forward to your videos George

Batteries should be cooled down before recharging. This will prolong the life of the battery.

I noticed all these after market batteries are about 3 amps less then what they claimed...i have a 9 amp one and it only tested for 6.5 amps ..i seen a pattern of all.of them being 3 amps less.....

I have a mower that I have had for 4 years now. First year, the 5 amp hour battery went and they sent me a replacement. year 4, the battery went (after 3 years of use which I dont think is a lot) and they wont replace it. These after market "6ah" batteries are like $60 on amazon now. Even if they are only equal to a 4ah battery, I can buy about 3 - 4 of them for the same price as 1 5ah genuine ryobi. Why wouldn't I buy at least one, if not 2 of them?

It should have lasted nearly 30 minutes longer at 6Ahr

I would be interested to see the test run again after about 30 discharge/charge cycles.

Interesting, but after a year of use how will the off-brand perform? Testing batteries when new has some merit, but after 40 discharge/charge cycles will the 1/2 price battery still compete with the Ryobi brand? Also if the off-brand was really 6 ah it should have lasted much longer than the 4 ah Ryobi. Like so much of the Chinese tech stuff, the specs are not accurate (true).

Agree! So far I am still using the replacement battery and I have not noticed any significant change but as you said time will tell.

My genuine ryobi batteries seem to break after a year anyway. So what difference does it make. It's all crap.

Your comparing a used 4A to a new battery. Capacity on the used has probably diminished. The “6A” is probably similar to the 2.6A.

It had only been used 4 times.

It’s not a 6ah battery replacement battery. It’s a 4ah replacement battery. Too long of a story to explain!
