So today's video is going to be another chit chat/storytime video. On August 27th I moved to Kuwait to teach. Moving to Kuwait is a huge adventure for me and I'm so excited about all the travelling I'll get to do from here too! Moving house is always stressful, but moving to a new country is downright terrifying. So here's the story of my move to Kuwait and the dramatic and totally embarrassing details of my journey to the Middle East.

I'm really looking forward to seeing your Kuwait vlogs! Tastist Foods to buy :
-KDD Chocolate milk (Halib Kakaw)
-Dates and Tahihi (Tamur w Harda)
-Iranian Bread (Khobiz Irani)(not in co-op society, usually near it)
-Kuwaiti porridge (Harees w Yreesh) (you can get it in a place called Nikhi and Bajila, also around the coop society)
-"Butter milk?" (Leban)(my fav)
-Arabic "yoghurt/cheese?" (Lebna)
-Shani Soft drink (its a soft drink most popular in the GCC, tastes like berrys)
And ofcourse you could try out any good reviewed Kuwaiti restaurant.

This is great and informative! Saw your "I'm moving to Kuwait" video. I've signed my contract to work in Kuwait last night! I'm currently living and working in Saudi Arabia. Though I haven't been here long, I'm ready for a change. Now I'm more excited that I've watched your videos, as well as other expats that live in Kuwait (except the time where you passed out, sorry that happened).

the hit weather is very hot sometimes reach 60C!! and the could weather is soo could it reached -6 last year so becareful of winter cause it wont be warm like what u might think it will be freaking could make sure ur ready for that and welcome to kuwait ;D (my english sucks need english teacher XDDDD joke :P)
I noticed alot of people telling you to go to 360 and the Avenues mall, theyre not wrong! but i suggest you dont go during thursday and friday nights, because it will be over crowded. thumbs up if you agree!

welcome to Kuwait, in my opinion the best malls here are : marina mall and the 360 mall.
-360 mall has a nice cinema with 2d, 3d and 4d movies. other than that there is bowling and bilyard or pool tables.
-marina mall is for shopping and chilling. The cinema there is not that good but its by the sea side so when the weather gets better its really nice to just sit outdoors by the sea side at a cafe or chocolate bar by the sea and enjoy the weather while having a cup of coffee or tea and reading a book. We do get nice weather in Kuwait, probably after 2 months the weather will cool down.

Yes go to Mubarikia, alshaheed park, skating arena, somo, grand mosque 🕌 , mirror house, youm al bahar , mind maze Kuwait, murouj,classic car museum, download trip advisor app and it will show you real Kuwait pretty and fun places

Liked your Video and nice observations. I miss Kuwait a lot because i was born in that country and lived there for more than 26 years. Though i am Pakistani. The sad thing is i cannot come back to Kuwait due to a reason, Visas for Pakistani are banned since 2011. Now i rely on your and some other kuwait related vlogs to see and hear about my birth country which i love a lot. Keep sharing your experiences. Looking forward to see the new ones.

I'm curious... why are there so many indians in bahrain? and why is their so many irish in the whole of the middle east, especially bahrain, kuwait, qatar and dubai?? really confused.. all the foreigners I met there were all from ireland. Can somebody explain ?
I think I've only met one Irish person while I've been living in the Middle East. Maybe it was just a coincidence.

Sorry know this is off topic but for those of you who like to catch taxis here in Kuwait be aware of Pakistani taxi drivers they seem to have issues with Americans …. I had the 2nd run-in with a Pakistani taxi driver within last mouth both took issue with me being American this last one actually wanted to fight cursing American

The same exact thing happened to me in Vegas on the strip while waiting for treasure islands pirate show. I thought I was going to be sick and I passed out. I woke up on the floor. I ended up at the hospital but I'm not really sure what happened? Nothing was wrong with me and I wasn't drunk.
That must have been scary, especially because you don't even know what caused it. I used to pass out quite a lot when I was younger so I'm weirdly used to it now haha.

Welcome to Kuwait! I hope you enjoy your time here! Kuwait is known for it's delicious food, so much so that people actually gain weight when they're here haha. You should definitely try Kuwaiti cuisine, I recommend restaurants such as "Freej Suwaileh" (cheap, fast, most popular), "Khaneen" (bit more upscale, located in Murouj), and lastly "Dar Hamad" (glamorous, highly upscale, luxury dining). Our national dish is called "Machboos" which is fragrant, spiced rice, typically served with succulent chicken or lamb, and spiced tomato gravy. You can find those locations on Google maps. Enjoy love, and please don't hesitate to ask, we'll be glad to help!
I love that you went to Kuwait I live there btw I’m 12 I’m a Kuwaiti the biggest mall we have is the avenues mall and 360 mall is great too if you wanna watch a movie go to al hamra mall they have the best popcorn I ever tasted you can find lots of films in English you barely find Arabic ones go to al- Mubarakiah too it’s an old place but it’s awesome 👏

I think I am the only person in this comment box, who is not from Kuwait. I never heard of this country before. I am from Germany and ask my now why you choose especially this country for living their.
It's a teeny tiny country! It's a great place to work because there's an enormous expat community, it's central for people like me who love to travel and it has the strongest currency in the world so the pay is a lot better than anything I'd get at home.
Random Almost all of kuwait is in Germany every summer😂 we love touring europe

Few more things, all Kuwaiti agree that we don't a good airport not even decent one 😂. Try to go out at night or do inside activities more often so that you don't feel the heat as much as going out on noon. Make friends with female Kuwaitis so you have a bond for life 🤙🏼and be able to know more. One more thing we have dust storms from time to time be careful
Haha! Agreed! I've definitely gotten into napping during the day and going out in the evening. It's way too hot during the day!

Sorry your tip was quite traumatic. Id generally love to see what it looks like there, parks, scenery in general. I love seeing new countries through blogs. Then maybe what the shops are like out there, differences in supermarkets and cafes compared to the UK?

Hi! Could you share some thoughts about the jobs available there. Like is teaching a good option for English speaking folks. And how about makeup MUA jobs?
Hi. I'm not sure about MUA jobs as I haven't looked into it, but there are plenty of teaching jobs here. One big difference compared with the UK is that you don't need a teaching qualification to get a job as a teacher here either, which means a lot of people come out here to try their hand at teaching before they commit to going back to school to qualify. I hope that helps.
