Because it is a cultural and religious thing, banning Alcohol and night clubs made us as Kuwaitis able to enjoy our times in different ways. I know it is hard for Westerners to adapt to this lifestyle, however, it will give you another meaning of joy. You don’t have to drink or go to a night club to have fun. There are other ways to do so. I am Kuwaiti but I study in Australia, my Australian friends keep asking me “ wait, do you really don’t drink? .. Oh, you don’t go to night clubs! Oh that’s boring” No it is not boring at all. In Melbourne instead of going out for a drink or a night club, I go and have a walk on Yarra river, I go and watch a movie, I go to concerts, I just have a walk in the CBD, I go to a cafe, meet my friends in the mall, go for a dinner cruise, hire a boat and drive it in the river, go and visit heaps of the nice places melbourne has to offer, most of them they don’t even know them. Being a Kuwaiti, made me able to enjoy my time in every way, whereas my Aussie friends only spend their night at night clubs. For me, their lifestyle is boring not mine, I am enjoying my time in both Kuwait and Australia. Also, for example, if I go to country/ or a city or a town in Australia for a holiday, and then I realise: oh there is nothing much to do here, I can still enjoy my time and this holiday may become the best I’ve ever had.
I was born in Kuwait then I lived in Nz and now in Melbourne , Australia Personally, I think that the clubbing scene is overrated and you will get over it at some point of your life. Then you sort of prefer the simple quiet life style. This is what I see with majority of people including westerners.
That's amazing man I totally agree. I also study abroad (UK) and their idea of having fun by clubbing is boring and depressing. But personally I'm meeting more and more British people who mention that they don't club or find it unbearable which is nice to hear.
Accurate and fair comparison unlike other westerners. Kuwait is a very underrated country mainly bc lack of "alcohol/nightclubs" tbh I like that! I like the relaxed nature of my country I don't want it to be full of tourist and lose that calmness and uniqueness.
Your very right I live in Dubai and it's really crowded compared to Kuwait And Kuwait is much more peaceful (both are peaceful though) Though because I don't really like shopping it can get boring at both places Dubai and Kuwait But Dubai and Kuwait speak the same language (a little bit different) khaleeji Arabic And Kuwait has less activity's then Dubai The people of Kuwait are really fashionable! And the people of Dubai are tolerant and respect differences. I recommend visiting these places if you like the modern life and the city life But if you hate the hot then don't come at summer but winter is fine
Im n Indian from Bombay and very blessed to b in Kuwait... God bless Kuwait n Kuwaitis and all expats who have come here to make a living... i will love Kuwait to da very end...i am very grateful to God to b in Kuwait cos r own country couldn't take care of us.... God bless 😊
But we can't close our eyes to the sufferings that our less fortunate country men experience in Kuwaiti households. What excuse does Kuwait have to exploit workers when they are so rich & can give proper pay.
Hey Mike! 😊 Great video! I lived in UAE for a few years, and now have lived in Kuwait for the past 8 years. I agree with everything that you are saying regarding both places. There are a bit more things to do in UAE but I prefer the simple life. Thanks for sharing.
I agree whole heartedly with all you've said. .- I live in Kuwait and I love it here. Been here 3 years and you summed it up perfectly: Kuwait is a place for simple people with simple pleasures. Great video bro.
Yeh I don't know why i said that, I used to take the bus from work every day 😂 I guess I meant the buses in Dubai are better, easier to find and to use.

I was living in Dubai for more than 6 years, and I'm planning to move to Kuwait, you forgot to talk about jobs opportunities and I think Kuwait is the best place to get a job rather than Dubai is the best place for tourism and shopping.
I have a feeling that I'm gonna love Kuwait more ....maybe because I wouldn't like living in a flashy and sorta glamorous place for long ,.....also Kuwait is quite similar to Qatar right
fair comparison, and I think Dubai or UAE in general is a bit more freedom on alcohol side and night clubs, which is very bad to our culture and who we are. Am from Dubai and wish good luck to our brothers in Kuwait.
Kuwait is by far the most opened society in the entire GCC indeed and always has been, at least since I first travelled and lived in the Gulf in the 80s. Granted, Bahrain follows near.
You can still drive from Kuwait to Bahrain, to many cities in Saudi Arabia and to Iraq. You can also take a ferry to Iran. In terms of cultural mentality, a lot of Emirati people are more traditional than Kuwaitis, but we both preserve our Islamic and Arab social values such as family, generosity and hospitality. We are maybe lacking in the Entertainment sector in the mean time, and we don’t have huge flashy events like Dubai does, which is a global metropolis intended for Tourism to diversify UAE's revenue, but Kuwait is still in development - we'll get a metro soon. Look up ‘Madinat al-Hareer’, this why the ‘Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah Causeway’ was built for.
Very nice and fair comparison. If i will add something it’s that Kuwait is a living life country and dubai is a commercial project. That’s why dubai is much more expensive in spending.
It’s always fascinating how we as individuals have different perspective. Please do another one comparing Qatar Vs Kuwait. I always find Kuwait unique so is Qatar and UAE but I would like to hear your side on Qatar Vs Kuwait in terms of infrastructure, healthcare people both countries in general
Main difference between Kuwait and other countries that Kuwaiti are more likely to show freedom because we are semi democratic in terms of speaking up we were the pioneers in development but you know a lot of things happened to Kuwait and still happening which left the country going backward But we are going to return to the top Kuwait a multicultural And the cultural very clear anyone can feel it because it small country.
Yeah most people have this misconception Emiraties are more conservative on the contrary to Kuwaities even though their country sells alcohol and has night clubs it's kinda weird lol

They don’t sell it in the supermarket only in hotels and other city like abu dhabi its rare to find alcohol in hotel or in any place and because in Dubai the majority of tourists not from arab countries ( i forgot to mention that you can buy it from airport )
Interesting points you’re making about Kuwait👍🏻 Speaking of freedom of press, Kuwait was the number 1 middle eastern country in freedom of press back in 2010. It surpasses Israel & ranked 60th on the world. But then due to the failure of Arab spring, freedom of press had dropped in Kuwait (as the entire region) last time I checked it’s ranked 103 globally. Even though it’s still number 1 among the GCC countries & among the top 3 Arab countries.
it’s strange that you were literally sitting on top of my building that i’ve been living in for 14 years 😮 anyways loved the video !! great info man keep up the great work :)
The ME is generally HOT! But, in winter, places like Riyadh in KSA, get a week or so of huge rainstorms, that completely overflow the city's drainage systems, and cause massive chaos on the highways and freeways. When it gets really cold, at night, there are often snowfalls, too. I lived and worked in Riyadh for over 4 years, and never got into a traffic accident, which is incredible, when I look back on it.
awesome video bro, been living here from Australia, plenty things to do in Kuwait and stay busy, just gotta find that flow and people. Trivia nights, yoga, open discussions, various music events, dance classes.
you missed out on saying ....that one can go kayaking by the beach in Kuwait too and drive to some new local farms that have been emerging recently some with small lakes ... you could go to Failaka island ...etc .. but great videos overall... keep up the good work
I worked and lived in Abu Dhabi for several years. Didn't have a car, because taxis were so cheap, and there were loads of them. This was back in the 1980s.
I was there for over 6 years, I liked UAE more than Kuwait because 1. the roads are safer ( there are no crazy drivers, overtaking and racing in the highways) , plus they seriously follow the traffic rules, like they actually stop for pedestrians who are crossing the street. 2. I find emiratis more friendly and welcoming to expats. 3. They really make an effort to make the streets more beautiful. 4. Working in Kuwait depends on the company where you belong to, but its better there coz of no taxes. But in UAE. there are more job opportunities for expats and the labor law is really helping the workers, unlike the in Kuwait where you cannot really fight for your rights unless you have a "Wasta".

In Kuwait their is three branches of gov 1. Legislative that are selected by the people of kuwait, they make the laws . Then 2. You have the executive they are the ones that enforce the laws and they make some laws that needs approval from the legislative branch which is parliament. 3. Judicial branch of government that is separate and independent from they other 2 branches of gov.
Kuwait's population is more than 4 million, not 3 million, there are buses, and rumor has it that foreigners can bring very small amounts of alcohol for personal use.
Kuwait is a simple country for simple people best way to put it..we are conservative but open minded at the same time ..we hold dearly to our beliefs and our simple life but we don’t believe in forcing them on people..it’s not a country that will wow you..it’s a country that you chill you lol and in the previous video an expat said we are rich! That’s the biggest misconception about Kuwaitis..we are definitely not rich! But we’re not poor either..most Kuwaitis are big spenders ..that’s why you see fancy cars everywhere ..That being said I would like to thank her for the nice misconception I’d love to be rich, that’s a nice reputation 😂❤️
I'm an American who has moved to Muscat. I find the city very livable. Your video is helping me to decide my next travel (or possibly teaching) destination. Kuwait doesn't sell alcohol--oh, dear.
Kuwait isn't really dry, everything you want is here if you have the right connections, and I mean EVERYTHING! The lack of humidity is the only thing that keeps me in Kuwait.
Mike hello! Which country would you recommend to go for work, UAE (Dubai) or Kuwait? Where the salaries is better (in particular as a waiter or seller in boutiques)?
Hey Mike! I'm orginally from Syria but live in the states. I've visited Dubai before but not Kuwait so my answer would be biased, from what I hear Kuwait seems to be the place.
There are lots of good expert out there but most offers little ROI’s,I’Il advice trading with mrs Jane team as I make over $30,000 on average per month from there trading bots
A "dry" country? Officially maybe but back in '03 at least, the only alcohol I had trouble getting ahold of was real beer. Less smuggling and moonshining now?
Contrary to popular belief, the sheikhs get voted in by a cabinet in the UAE rather than ruling because do their statues, it’s a 5 year term then the cabinet votes for their next president and the people of the UAE really like the system because of how well it works. That makes the UAE kinda democratic in that regard but some might not see it like that, everyone in the UAE really likes that so no need to try to change it and protest it.
To be honest I feel like some people are going to be offended sorry if I spelled it wrong anyway I am from Australia but I live in Dubai I have been in Dubai for 2 years now
I worked in Kuwait for 24 years as a teacher but the ministry of education robbed almost half my pension 4256 KD ( 14000$) when resignation under the name of indeptness which I knew nothing about . And when I made a complaint they refused it verbally on the telephone.

Hey Mike, I watched a few of your videos now. And I was wondering how about the social life as a western expat in Kuwait or Dubai? It is likely for expats to become friends with locals or is it more common to just hang out with other expats? I've been in Kuwait last december and it was awesome Greets from Holland :-)
I’d say it’s more likely to have a foreign friend but kuwaitis will treat you right, if you made a kuwaiti friend he/she will most likely to be a chill friend :)))

Kuwait's population is more than 4 million, not 3 million, there are buses, and rumor has it that foreigners can bring very small amounts of alcohol for personal use.
We miss you dude welcome to Morocco
We love you so much
Im big fan
مرحبا
😊☺
So you are an American "Immigrant" in Kuwait?
good luck!
@@irfanm4014 he is an American expat in Oman lol
@@irfanm4014 Nope. I live in Muscat.
@@JaffarTube Thanks for clarifying

We don’t have trains because you know Kuwait is small you can get any where fast
A "dry" country? Officially maybe but back in '03 at least, the only alcohol I had trouble getting ahold of was real beer. Less smuggling and moonshining now?
"There's much more to do it Dubai, there's an aquarium in a shopping mall."
Fawaz_st theres also an aquarium in a mall in Kuwait lol
Fawaz_st uh even in Kuwait u idiot
To be honest I invested as low as $1100 with expert mrs Jane because I was skeptical initially, receiving my profit gave me more
Kuwaits population as of 2018 is actually north of 4 million
If you were to base the Kuwait’s infrastructure on the economy, you’ll understand why they don’t have trains and metros.
I really enjoyed Kuwait best place to relax
To be honest I feel like some people are going to be offended sorry if I spelled it wrong anyway I am from Australia but I live in Dubai I have been in Dubai for 2 years now
why is urdu so much more cursive looking than arabic. They use the same script right?
Glad to see u back to Kuwait hit like if u all agree
I worked in Kuwait for 24 years as a teacher but the ministry of education robbed almost half my pension 4256 KD ( 14000$) when resignation under the name of indeptness which I knew nothing about . And when I made a complaint they refused it verbally on the telephone.

Hey Mike, I watched a few of your videos now. And I was wondering how about the social life as a western expat in Kuwait or Dubai?
It is likely for expats to become friends with locals or is it more common to just hang out with other expats?
I've been in Kuwait last december and it was awesome
Greets from Holland :-)
I’d say it’s more likely to have a foreign friend but kuwaitis will treat you right, if you made a kuwaiti friend he/she will most likely to be a chill friend :)))
انا من الكويت 🇰🇼💕
