The districts homer band. Haddock to play this but or band teacher still gave it to us if we wanted to play it. Islam he entered us in a band festivele with other schools on march 19 a few days away from my academic penthethalon competition wish me luck for both events
I played this song towards the end of fifth grade, my first year in band, I play flute and piccolo and I always look out for my section, funny, I can't hear them. Yikes.
my fifth grade fulton county GA honors band is playing this our trumpeters are just a wee bit too loud, though. (I'm first chair baritone horn, just because im the only one!)
I'm in percussion and this is one of four songs in our upcoming spring concert. While this song is beautiful, this (these?) band kind of screwed up, or at least from what I heard. Problems I noticed: -The snare sounds kind of funky. This might be just me because our snare drum has a muffler on it, but I still think it sounds, if nothing else, really loud. I mean REALLY loud. -Where are the low voices?? Mainly tuba, trombone, and bari sax, but some others are missing. The trumpets are really quiet too... -Did anybody here the bass drum? Because I didn't. -The bells are SOOOOO quiet! Especially compared to the snare drum :\ -The xylophone kind of dragged, or slowed, for a beat or two around the 2:20 mark. -What's up with the flutes? I don't know what it is, but they sound kind of off. -And last but CERTAINLY not least, where in the heck are most of the percussion accessories???? I just barely heard crash cymbal in the beginning and around measures 29 and 37, the suspended cymbal ONCE (it was also very weak and quiet), and there were some parts where I couldn't even hear the triangle! No offense guys, but you kind of suck. I REALLY hope this is beginning band because I'm in beginning band and we are WAY better. P.S. Sorry most of what I pointed out was about the percussion section, that's just kind of my thing and I notice it the most.
dianna chet Yeah it's really hard. We've only gotten through the whole thing, like, three or four times. But it's really worth the effort. I'm in percussion and our concert is next week!! Do you mind me asking what grade you are in? I'm in 6th (beginning band).
actually cuppycake drums are supposed to be playing metso-forte (medium loud) and metso piano (medium soft) my 6th grade band plays this im a percussionist
I play the trombone, and I can't believe how easy our part was when we played this song last year. And some parts always remind me of superman for some reason...
No offense to this band, but it's terrible. The snare drums are way too loud, some of the flutes are off (I play flute) and there is absoloutley no dynamics that I heard
Snares are kinda designed that way and I think u only paid attention to the flutes your part or your band has a bad proportion of instruments. There is nothing bad with the recording
I play the saxophone and we played this for our christmas concert and I love this song! 🎷🎷

Leah Bohannon uh excuse me I'm at jewel and our band works hard to make this concert well and the flutes play soft and we could barely hear them
Snares are kinda designed that way and I think u only paid attention to the flutes your part or your band has a bad proportion of instruments. There is nothing bad with the recording
