This was an incredible first impression by Selena Gomez. I’m sure we can all relate to what she’s implying as virtually all of us have a talent or skill set that comes “naturally” to us. I remember when she first dropped this song, she must’ve been 14 or 15 and I was almost 10 years her senior. I had to take it lightly, and the concept of “thunder & lightning” was more like “Sonic & Tails” than “Romeo & Juliet”. That one moment where her eyes really “communicate” that “you know who you are” spoke to my soul and yet… it’s clear that any one of us could’ve taken exception to her. Other than that, God bless you, Selena, and I hope you’re doing well now that you’ve reached adulthood. 🤗
