3:25 I’ve had this problem too with a few Kidde models and one first alert SC9120B that actually was bad enough that the interconnection made the whole hallway smell like smoke. I ended up finding the problem causing all the alarms to have this problem. One of the interconnect circuits between two of them had gone bad and burned the wiring and the ceiling. Now I have to paint the burn mark on the ceiling at some point. I capped off those two circuits though and I haven’t had that problem since then. I wonder if that could be the problem with yours. Plus that one KN-COSM-IBA at the end that said carbon monoxide was previously detected means that it may have detected some but it didn’t reach a high enough level to set off the alarm. Is it near the garage or near a furnace room or water heater room?
1:56 horns failure is common on kidde units, one of the ones in my house was like that 3:38 I wouldn’t replace it just yet, make sure the wires are making a good connection, that might fix it
3:39 the reason why its not connected to the other smoke alarm because the red wire is not connected and the red wire is to link to and another smoke alarm so if the red wire is connected it will set all off of the smoke alarm
At 4:24 when it said “caution carbon monoxide previously detected” that means CO levels in your house are up to 100 parts per million/ ppm. Do you have a gas furnace or an oil furnace

Its connected, and even the plug is connected.

No. Interconnection can just fail at points on these Kidde models. A friend of mine had multiple issues with interconnection failures.

We have a gas furnace, and gas fire places.
