Spring 2024 home smoke alarm test with the CRC Smoke test smoke alarm tester

I decided to do an updated take because I added some more smoke alarms to my house because some of the hardwired ones upstairs were too far from the entrances of the rooms. I also put two of the 4120B’s back up. Cool thing is those specific ones are actually original to those rooms. And they are EXTREMELY Sensitive. They are some of the most sensitive ones that I know of. The other four I have including the one I put up to replace the CO5120B I have I forgot which specific rooms those and hallways those were in many years ago. I also decided to put an SA300 in the garage because two of My Aunt’s and my Grandmother have smoke alarms in their garages. I had to replace the KN-COPE-IC downstairs with an SC9120B because it kept on false alarming one morning. I added one of the i4618’s to the game room because I wanted a smoke alarm at least six feet away from the entrance like the guest bedroom and office are located from the entrance and the i12060A I felt was too far. But I’m glad to have one really high up because smoke rises. I added a FireX ADC that used to be in my grandmothers house in her kitchen that went off a few times when she burned food. I was surprised at how quickly it went off with the smoke can. It also replaced a 10 year sealed battery smoke and carbon monoxide alarm because I was warned and had seen in videos that they false alarm all the time. Plus when I sprayed it off camera after I did that smoke can review it didn’t go off but then I sprayed even more and it STILL wouldn’t go off and then I pressed the test button and the test button didn’t work either. It was still operating because the red LED still blinks every 40 seconds. So that alarm was defective. I plan on doing this exact same thing at my Nana’s house with adding more smoke alarms and making a video of testing all the smoke alarms in her house either this weekend or next week because I need to go to her house and do smoke alarm maintenance. As of right now she only has one smoke alarm in the entire house and it is a KN-COSM-XTRBA that I put it in myself several years ago to replace a First alert 83R that wasn’t operational that I now have. And I got it working a few days after I acquired it. And that Kidde smoke and carbon monoxide alarm is probably 8 years old so I’m probably going to replace it with a different smoke and carbon monoxide alarm depending on if it still works. and I will be adding 5 more smoke alarms to her house which is one in every bedroom and one in the den. Me and her haven’t decided if we want to put a smoke alarm and/or a plug and play carbon monoxide alarm. So stay tuned for the video where I do the exact same thing that I did in this video but I don’t know which smoke can I will use yet. Please disregard the part where I said that the SC9120B took forever. It actually didn’t take forever it took the amount of time that it should.
