chemistry is one of my worst subjects. I prefer learning that i know i can talk about or has a storyline sort of layout (history, English geography etc) but this video actually really helped.
Study Vision no way mocks this early?? I thought most mocks were in January or February but maybe that’s just here in Northern Ireland. Happy u found the video useful💓I know you’ll do great!
@@gracemebie2209 i did my first mocks in october and although it was hard I th8nk I did pretty well and then i did online exams 2 weeks ago and I'm still waiting for my results. I have videos on my UA-cam channel (on this account) on my mock 1 results and my mock revision😊
i watched this vid about 7 months back and ended up getting a grade 9 in my chem gcse! chem was my worst sub but i made it happen. so good luck peeps, u got this!
Coming from doing A-Level Chemistry I think the tips here are awesome! Personally I prefer learning the concept so I know what I'm doing compared to memorisation but whatever works is good
I get what u mean sometimes it’s way better to be able to understand what ur reading as there are applied questions, I suppose this is more prevalent at a level than gcse. It’s always cool to hear other people’s opinions and techniques for learning✏️✏️

i want to become a surgeon so badly but i just feel like im diving straight into it all too quickly, i choose my options in about two months and i need to be sure that i now that this is right for me. i just need to know that im even capable of getting at least an 8. honestly i want it so bad but im so worried im not going to be able to pass. i dont even know where to start.
Hey Lillie, Here’s my thoughts… I’ve applied for medicine, and I know when I was a gcse student, I was worried about grades too. My advice is to sit down and look at your spec. You need to see which topics you find difficult, and plan revision. You say you want to be a surgeon, have you asked yourself why?? I know so many people who thought medicine was the right choice for them, but then decided against it, their heart wasn’t in it. You’ll be fine for gcse as long as you stay calm, practice papers and do a little bit of work every week. You’ve still got time! Lastly, I want to add that if it’s causing you stress now at gcse, a level biology, required by nearly ALL med schools is much harder, there’s more application of learning and less time to learn it in. Not trying to scare you, just want to be completely honest, I wish someone had told me this when I was choosing options! Good luck!! Radhika
Hey, do you have any tips for the parts that is related to chemistry not the quantitative part, I have no idea on how to study it and I need help since I am failing my tests that teachers are giving. I have tried memorising but I just cant memorise it since it is quite a large subject with many topics.
hi! is it worth making revision notes for gcse or just using the notes i made in class and the textbook? whenever i try to make notes it takes wayyy too long and it feels unproductive
one question I have is that did u find unit 1 or 2 harder and would u ever consider doing videos outlining how u extract key information for notes or how u study using ur notes?
thats actually a really good video suggestions i'll keep that on my list of videos to film. Personally I found unit 2 easier than unit 1 simply because the content was way more interesting so i actually felt like learning it. Unit 1 in my opinion kinda gets a bit tedious in the course but there's way more variety in unit 2
Honestly, the best place for revision questions that I used was the textbook questions because it was sorted out into categories. In the thumbnail I’m holding a book, that’s what I used for my exam board, maybe look up your exam board for example AQA and then follow it by the words revision guide and that should bring up something? Or you could try physicsandmathstutor.com I think they also have chemistry stuff, personally I never use that site because it doesn’t work for CCEA but maybe it could have something, hope that helps!!
