I was sure he was gonna change the channel as soon as it got crazy ond loud. But he did not. He was like hypnotised and curious about that UFO band on the screen. Later some friend's big brother got a copy of there fisrt album. My favourite. The copy was labeled "system of THE down", a mistake. I really cherish that moment I shared with my dad watching this. I relate to your dad, honestly. I'm no metalhead, I listen to anything influenced by blues and jazz, a few dance genres, world music and lots of electronic music. I never thought I would've gotten hooked up on metal as much as I got with System.

It's the intensity and energy that those songs gave off, steal this album was the beginning of the melodic feel. Self titled and toxicity had the most heavy metal feel, especially self titled
wow not surprising they grow to be one of the best metal bands ever, imagine seeing/hearing this for the first time. They really got a unique sound, not to mention that extreme energy. Gotta love them
@aggel beatboxer I don't see how toxicity ruined them. SOAD naturally progressed and changed with their music over time, but all of their albums are masterpieces. The thing that ruined SOAD was the big disagreements between Serj and Daron.

Back in the days it a was great French show and it was a great time to perform in France guess they were happy to be here. Prior to that Nirvana had a nice live show here too.
First time I saw them at the Greek theater Los Angeles in 2004 was one of the best rock concerts I’ve ever seen. After they finished and left the stage the crowd kept cheering even after the lights came on hoping for an encore that didn’t happen. Seen them a bunch of times since but nothing came close to that show. Still a fan but I stopped going to their concerts.
