    I really love the way you are storing the Merry Little Christmas collection. Baseball card holders for embellishments. Genius! I do it in my Totally Tiffany Spinder Binder but never thought of it for my single collections. 🤩

    It is lovely to hear how well your system works for you now. I have at least as many cubbies of paper as you do, by color, season and theme. I have not broken apart my milestone type CM product because I have too many. But I like your idea of storing them in the CM Project folders, and adding in my scraps. I keep my scraps in a milk crate with legal size hanging folders for each color, and have done this from the very beginning, but as I make progress on my books, I hope to make space to incorporate your system. It does take a bit of time to reorganize by theme and season and color, but IT IS WORTH IT

    love the punch inventory using baseball card pages and layout sketch notebooks
    eta: OMB the photo boxes around 19:50 are amazing for dies and extras - won't be too heavy to lift, and easy to stack or arrange. would also be good to contain/limit the amount stored so nothing gets forgotten and re-bought or over bought.

    New subscriber here. Getting back to crafts and scrapbooking. You asked about the photo storage. I’ve purchased the Cropper Hopper storage cases. It’s a hard cover case with handles and have plastic cases to put the pictures in ; the plastic cases are for 4x6 pictures are acid free and archival safe. They include labels. I got mine when QVC had a craft fair day a few years ago. But I’ve seen them in Michaels and A.C. Moore. And on HSN craft Day. www. Cropperhopper.com You can also use the cases to store other craft supplies. Love love love your craft room.❤️

    • @CraftSomeJoy

      Iris claims boxes are “acid free” but that may mean nothing for plastic. It could be the plastic has other gases it emits.

    Love your ideas, but one concern came up. I was a creative memories consultant (as a hobbyist but fully embrace the how to’s and whys). If you don’t use this smaller boxes from the big boxes to store your photos then should you be putting the photo paper in those same boxes? In my opinion for what it’s worth, I wouldn’t. Even temporarily.

    • @CraftSomeJoy
      @CraftSomeJoy  4 роки тому +2

      Trina, thanks for your comment, and photo safety is really a whole topic in itself! I am hoping to talk more about photos and storage soon. I was suggesting the iris boxes only for temporary storage, our hope is to get those photos in scrapbooks🙌🏻I do use the power sort boxes from cm for my long term storage. Too bad they got rid of the smaller 3 section boxes which were perfect for working on projects!

    i don't focus on any particular craft. my mind flits from project to project, so i have a little of this and that. i don't have nearly the amount of supplies or storage you have. i don't do much with paper crafting, though i am venturing that way. i could really use some organization help in organizing in the smallest of areas (i'll have a corner of my room for it) and as cheaply as possible. i like to use thrifted items. my budget is so tight, i almost can't afford the "b" to spell budget. lol. can you recommend any other crafters channels to follow that might be more in my direction? thanks.

      Oh gosh I get it! ❤️My best advice is to put those keywords in the UA-cam search bar... I know I have seen videos like what you are looking for come up in my feed from time to time.

    Here's what the Iris Photo Keeper says: Made in the USA. BPA, acid, PVC, lignin free, and recycle #5. So it's supposed to be ok for photos.
