Gracias Gina justo anoche la estaba buscando en mi lista y se me avía perdido y hoy en la mañana encontré un vídeo sabe que soy de habla hispana pero procuro entender lo que abla gracias y adiós
Hi Gina; I enjoyed reading this article with you. My personal pick for the top pop start of the past 25 year is Taylor Swift. Yes, I think that music charts or awards like the Grammys are a good way to measure the greatness of an artist, because it is based on facts and not opinions.
Crystal clear explanations of grammar points based on examples taken from a real-life text. This delivery etches in memory. One of the best English teaching videos I have watched in a long while.
In the pdf, there is a mistake that there are no example sentences for the verb "to dominate" - in place of it a repetition of " claim " verb's example.
I have a special doubt In part 20:30, "Last week, Taylor Swift was announced as Billboard's no.2 pick, With Rihanna claiming the third spot." What does 'with+object+ing' mean? Does it mean 'Last week, Taylor Swift was announced as Billboard's no.2 pick because Rihanna was claiming the third spot. Can I say like that?
Very good question! I think this is something that you mostly see/hear in journalism. It's similar to this: "...and Rihanna, (who is) claiming the third spot." That paragraph is basically just a list of other people. So, this is just a way to introduce the person in the third spot without sounding too repetitive. 🤣
Who would be your pick for the top star the past 25 years? I don't have any in special to rank to the top chart it because this kind of music awarding does not represent art itself anymore, but only simple cult of personality.
