the first one is very common like also "I have 10 years old". present continuous for me is a little confusing, I don't know exactly when I should use it but I undertand that somebody is talking in future tense ex: is she coming tomorrow morning? I didn't know that it was about a schedule event or something like that.
Yes, we have a tendency to use the present continuous to talk about future plans. Is your first language Spanish? There are some situations where you use simple present in Spanish, but we tend to use present continuous in English. For example, "Me voy" in English is "I'm leaving." I plan to make a more detailed lesson about the differences between these two tenses soon! 😊
