I always love that in this channel, in its stories OP always cuts people off, but 5 lines later OP is somehow back in communication with those she cut off.
Why the hell are the parents proud of their daughter being a gold digger? When she gets divorced, she'll be a burden to them until she gets back on her feet- if she ever does!
That’s what I don’t understand. I worked 3 jobs when I was younger to build a good life for myself until I graduated my PhD. My husband has a good career and so do I. We split everything and save as much as we can for our retirement. We raise our daughter the same, work hard for what you want, be proud that you’re doing it on your own, and find someone that will supports your ambitions, not someone that will completely support you financially because you always want to be independent in case the relationship doesn’t work out.
I was wondering if her husband was sitting close by while she spouting about how OP should just find someone to support her and how she could essentially blow through the guy’s money. Apparently he was because he suddenly woke up and realized his wife was going to bankrupt him. No man I know is going to like hearing he’s being used for his money. So if that’s a woman’s goal, she better keep her thoughts to herself or she will find herself tossed to the curb!
Did anyone else notice goe many times OP SAID they cut off their parents and sister, but never seemed to? It feels like some sort of childhood manipulation is going on.
The best thing you could do is to expose her to Eric. Say that she only wants him because of his money. If he does not belive you, tell him to test her. Tell him to tell her that you don't have a lot of money left, and if she tels that she wants a divorce or something, agree and tell her that it was a test.
Claire never had the good sense to keep quiet about her priverlaged life. All she ever did was ridicule the OPs independence. And why is Claire trashing the OPs for her financial downfall, instead of the husband who left her all but destitute? And why didn't Claire steal her parents' identity if she wanted to borrow money? If she wanted to change then she could have asked the OP to train her on how to do side hustles. The parents needed to make Claire get a full-time job. She is not only an adult but older than the OP.
I love how these enablers and toxic people refer to deliberate, malicious actions as “mistakes.” When someone resorts to dubious tactics and subterfuge, then plans to break the law, that's not a mistake
For those who have toxic family its best to cut ties with them for good, then get a lawyer or call the cops/police on them if there tresspassing or harassing you but its your choice.
That money can really go to someone's head I've seen good people change because of how much money they have like my god why do people be so honest about how much money they got like the husband did not need to tell that girl about his money aren't you suppose to pretend you don't have that much to see if the person really love you or your money it's not his fault but I'm just saying you gotta be careful who you let in

I don't know, seems legit to me tbh
Sometimes when you cut off family, they ignore it...
I'm not going to lie. I was hoping to hear op and Eric end up together.

My thoughts exactly. I'm sure Erik liked being married for his money and only his money.
Hans Christian Anderson couldn't have made a better fair tale. Awesome 👌 👍
