Thats how i cook a 1 inch thick rib eye. 400-450 / 10 minutes on one side .. flip it. 9 minutes. leave in air fryer to rest for 5 to 7 minutes. Perfect every time.
From frozen?
@@HisMajesty99 Yes 400 Fesh 450 frozen
Thank u !
Same here. As well as the Carnivore meatballs.
What air fryer do you have
I am 6 months into cooking frozen stakes in an air fryer. This has changed my life indeed. Kudos to Dante Ferigno though.
Vampire stakes? 😂😂😂
What air fryer are you using? Mine doesn't get the outside brown
@@jenjabba6210 Tefal XXL 2in1. The grill function makes a massive difference compared to lower end and less powerful air fryers.

Never thought of cooking steak from frozen in an air fryer, I'll try that
Me either. I don’t usually freeze my steaks but ordered some through Dr. Chaffee’s sponsor.
I will fry that too.
Btw… I use a stainless steel air fryer for my steaks. No teflon. Thawed, I cook 6 minutes on each side. Lots of butter! Then I pour the melted butter and fat into a small bowl and dip the meat into it, one bite at a time! So good!!!! 😋
Mmhhmm..I can see that working

Yes, when I am blessed to find whole ribeye roasts on sale and get them cut thick, this is the ONLY way I cook them!! DELICIOUS!! ❤
When frozen I use the air fryer.
When thawed I use the infrared grill.
Sounds good, I need to look for an all Stainless air fryer.
Yes. I am looking too, not fancy but stainless steel. The one I have now, weird taste and smell. Only used a couple times.
Unfortunately for you every air fryer uses lead in the heating element itself

Lots of carnivores view it as the proper human diet. So quite normal.

@@Poundmax-ky4hupeople go to extremes in response to extreme conditions. I was prediabetic or low end diabetc about 18 years ago. Tried keto first and felt horrible for 9 months and finally gave up. Found low fat vegan worked reasonably well for blood sugar and lipids though in the long run damaging for muscle and hormones. Didn't discover the downsides until I had a cancer scare and went on keto pre-emptively and felt so much better than I can remember since maybe college that when the benign diagnosis came I just kept going.
@@NiceLoki Eschewing all plants is extreme. Not saying it can't be healthy, but I doubt any culture in history went to that extreme.
You need to hear Makayla Peterson's life story. She is a blessing to this world and I pray for her. The amount of suffering she went though with juvenile RA is heartbreaking. She saved her father's life... and her mother. She is the poster child of carnivore.
After 15 months of carnivore, I now buy whole ribeyes and cut them into untrimmed steaks about 2 inches thick and cook them on the Cinder grill (like sous vide without water) to super rare, purple-red and eat everything including all connective tissue using only salt for seasoning and that's it. The perfect meal. I also eat about 1 pound of beef liver per week cooked medium rare (flash fried or air fryer) and bacon. No dairy anymore.
Where do you buy whole ribeye?
@@justine3769 Costco and Sams Club. You can also ask the butcher as any grocery store that sells decent steaks if they'll sell them whole in the cryovac bag.
@@wadereynoldsgmthanks❤
Lose the liver. Seriously, you're asking for trouble with that. Think about it, what percentage of an animal is composed of liver? Less than 1%? Lets say you eat a cow a year, to simplify things. Now think of how much liver is in that cow. That's the MAX amount of liver you should eat in a year. You're eating that in two or three weeks. Not a good idea.
@@Peter-vn5jq Okay, what problems will that cause?
As a steak connoisseur I have to admit she is right.
No replacement for a grilled steak, but on a night after a late day of work a frozen steak in the air fryer does the trick.
Cooking it thawed left the steak ok the first time I tried an airfryer. A little gray looking and not much caramelizatuon. Tried from frozen... amazing! Perfectly caramelized and crusty by the time I reached my desired doneness.
Thank you for sharing your experience.
Did that with lamb today. Nice and crispy outside and pink in the middle.

Do you just eat until full?
@@johnnybear111Yep!
I also do OMAD and my meals are usually something like a fried ribeye and grilled bacon or grilled lamb chops and bacon.
Since when did convection ovens become air fryers? Brilliant marketing.
I just got an air fryer for this reason, but I haven't done it yet. I will have to experiment with it
How do you properly season a frozen steak?
Pre season the steak with salt, pepper and garlic powder. Sous Vide the ribeye at 135 for 2 hours. Then use a torch to add the final crust. Add a compound butter and no need to rest with sous vide. Cut, serve and enjoy the most perfect steak you have ever experienced.
That’s how I do it since starting carnivore
New york thick cut (thawed):
On the frying pan med-high w/olive oil...
3 minutes each side.
One side salt.
The otherside spices and pepper.
Shut off heat, simmer IN the pan for 1 minute.
Served *Perfect* (tender juicy inside, light crust outside...)
and ready steamin' hot.
Total cook time 7 minutes.

Dante Ferrigno's method as well-

Tried it with some thick beef burgers (patties) that I had in my freezer and they were great 😋
Same. Mine are not frozen. But I cook 2 1 inch steaks at 500 for 16 minues, flipping halfway through. Medium rare every time.
I use an air fryer for 14 minutes on 400 with Kinders Buttery Steakhouse.
I would think she was crazy, but I've made wings completely frozen in my air fryer and they came out banging.
I just waited over an hour to bring a refrigerated ribeye to room-temp before I broiled it…wonder if this will work the same straight from the fridge.
I’ll find out tomorrow night.
She speaks the truth, she's the reason I got an air fryer. Overcooking it is really easy if it's thawed.
Done this before, except with the BBQ grill. She's 100% right, nice crust/sear without overcooking. Slam it on the grill frozen!
The best cut of steak is the Delmonica from the Dutch Market. I turn my skillet oñ high, massage olive oil the steak, brazing for 4-5 minutes in each side, getting the sides for about a minute to cook the fat down, remove from cooking to let it rest, sprinkle salt and pepper, and walla! Mucho besta!

Best steaks are on the barbecue but air fryer is second best. Also really quick. When I’m hungry, I’m hungry. 🥩
My Dad's friend Lee Matleshuweski showed us this in the 70's. Just on a BBQ.
7 min per side for fresh 1.5" NY on just a regular gas grill. ~ 500 - 600 for a minute
Hey Ive been carnivore one week today. Ive slept 12 hours straight the last two nights. Is this normal?
Your body is healing ❤
Agree. Your body is healing itself. Keep it up!
I'm going to try this for my next steak :)
Yes! It's also the easiest way to cook thinner steaks (0.75 inches). Air fry them frozen, the middle still comes out pink.
This works btw. The outside is as crispy as beef jerky, but inside is medium (or at least thats the result i get)
Sous vide is really good and gives you extremely consistent cooking. The two downsides are cooking in a plastic bag and it takes a few hours
Sounds good to me. LoL. My kids are grilling outside in the night, & don’t understand what a blue steak is, but as they haven’t burned up anything, or set the woods on fire, itz still feasible. They are surprised at the contents of kitchen now that i have stopped cooking the old way.
People worry about forever chemicals from a lot of air fryers though. unless it's stainless steel.
Are you kidding me? I have a Ninja Foodi, and my sister convinced me to buy it, but I've used it maybe twice in 3 years. If I can use its air fryer setting to do this, it would be a game changer. Guess what I'm having for breakfast!
wal-mart filet mignon. $11-15. bring home. salt, pepper, 30 min room temp. grill ideally, but oven easier. oven, 375 F, 15-20 mins until medium-well. let sit few minutes. done.
20mins and you have food for the day

awe inspiring life changing advice. Will try.🙏
Stainless steel pan with tallow, gets it done med rare every time with a great crust in less time if you know what you're doing and you don't have a cheap fan blowing on your food.
What sauces can i use on the carnivore diet?
Eat whatever you want lmao
“ How do you prepare your steaks 🥩”? To that my kind friend the answer is “YES”!!!!!
Great hack! Thanks!
Unless I'm suddenly famished, I cook my steaks sous vide. I finish them with a weed torch, which is like she says, only about a minute instead of like ten-the main point is you get a nice Maillard effect, and you don't cook the inside (much) more. I find it works even better if you let it cool down a bit before finishing.
If I'm famished, I'll cook down a little tallow in a frying pan and toss the steak in that, but I prefer to a brined steak, and that would be au naturale.
I was so skeptical, first time I tried it. It came out perfect.
How do you season a frozen steak?
Before freezing
Dry brine it before freezing?
I think I'll stick with sous vide + Searzall.
As another person has said already season when it starts to thaw in the fryer.
Another trick is to lightly rub one side with olive oil.... before the oil gels up, season it. Only get about a minute to do this.
Then flip and repeat for the other side.
Place in fryer and get cooking.
Rib eyes, packaged in the freezer with salt so when you thaw them, the salt permeates the whole cut. Put them on a grill over lump hardwood charcoal with a handful of smoking chips. Sear them fast and hard, and serve blue. That's the perfect steak right there.
Cast iron is the tastiest way by far. Done right cast beats those $2000 grills by a longshot IMO. Air frying is fine too but doesn't do the inside texture justice IMO.
From frozen, in an air fryer...
Every part of me is screaming no, except for 1 little bit that's curious😂
Never heard of that. Might try something like that.
I cook steaks from frozen all the time on the grill or in a pan. Best way I’ve seen yet
I got to try that!
I've always being minimalist so it was easy to adapt idea to eat only meat. Not only the diet is minimalist but way of cooking too. We are using just a grill . Fast and always delicious! I don't want to have all kind of fryers and pans around the kitchen but I believe it makes delicious food, the air fryer. But also we live in California so grilling all year long is good.
The air fryer is full of plastic and polymer coatings tho. Just rinse, wipe with cheesecloth, pan fry in dutch oven with the lid on then off
Gotta find an air fryer that is completely plastic free, and then it's fine
Agreed, you can get non-toxic ones though which are a little bit better. Up to you if you trust their words.

I like mine well done …I get it , everyone thinks it’s ruined but tastes better to me.
No way, I have to let it soak up some salt for 2 hours as it comes to room temp. I'd rather have tender than a better crust.
Wow, never heard of cooking steaks frozen! I’ll give it a try.
Yes!!! Come home after working and don’t know what to have then this is the answer!
I did this but instead of the air fryer i slowly boil in tallow
Use anything long enough and you will perfect it. I have an air fryer. That being said I still prefer to just throw my steaks on the Griswold.
To each their own, but I really enjoy how my house smells cooking mine in a cast iron skillet. Then again, I'm old and don't own an air fryer.
I smoke them in my pit boss then reverse sear them. They’re delicious. I’ve never used an air fryer. It doesn’t sound appealing to me.

Well, now I want an air fryer.
I usually heat them in a cast iron pan...complicated I don't like.
You can't do that when it's frozen. I use pans as well and I'll never buy an airfryer but I get the point.
Yuper. I’ve been doing steaks in my air fryer for 6 months now. Perfect every time. Never tried frozen though. Hmmm...
I do this on the grill.

I cook frozen too because it’s easier for storage
I just reverse sear everything. Tastes way better.
I cook my steaks in the air fryer, but I don't cook them from frozen...they're in for 16 minutes on 200°C flipped half way through the cycle and then let it sit for 2-3 minutes afterwards...add salt...perfect steaks...
