Lol this is a very bad how-to video. 1) dragging the spool of fishing line across the trunk of the car and just throwing things on the roof is a great way to scratch your paint. So is taking a shop rag and scrubbing the back of your car with it 2) before using the fishing line use a heat gun or hair dryer to heat up the adhesive to soften it in sections and it will come off much more easily and also drag the fishing line along the underside of the spoiler not against the face of the trunk. 3) do not use WD-40 to remove the adhesive. Use an adhesive eraser wheel on the end of a drill and it will come off in seconds without marring your paint like you did with that plastic tool. 4) use Goo Gone or citrus oil to remove any remaining adhesive film and then use ISP alcohol to clean the paint surface after doing all this to make sure you have a clean surface to mount the new spoiler. 5) temporary mount the new spoiler using blue masking tape and then make tick marks on the tape so that once you remove the spoiler for final mounting you have alighnment marks 6) heat the section of the trunk panel where the spoiler will mount to with your heat gun or hair dryer to be warm to the touch which will help the adhesive make a firm bond. 7) peel back the adhesive starting from the middle of the spoiler and work it all the way to one side until you reach the edge and then repeat for the next side until it's firmly mounted in place 8) heat the trunk panel one time further and apply more pressure pressing evenly all over the spoiler and then let the adhesive cure on the car for at least one hour before driving it.
Should have used tar and glue remover instead of wd40. Also you’ve probably scratched the trunk by letting the fishing wire slide over it when trying to remove the old rear spoiler
Looks great ! I have a c180 Coupe in brasil 🇧🇷! The same color ! I would Like to buy the same spoiler to my Mercedes ! Congratulations ! Your car is awsome
Hi Steve, Yes the spoiler is made at Mercedes in Slovakia i believe. It is all original. CKS was pretty good. If they didn't have stock I did have to chase them a few times but they didnt contact me as they didn't know when their stock was available. I would certainly use them again
Hi Iman… you can buy this direct from any Mercedes dealer as it’s a standard part. Nothing Mercedes is cheap though… I am keeping mine just in case someone steals it off the boot!
Hi, I believe that the coupe and Cab are different body shapes. You would need to check with Mercedes or if you go to the CKS Performance website you can send them an email and they will come back to you
Hi, I got it from CKS Performance. They are based in the UK and buy direct from Mercedes in Germany. This is the only company I found that would ship to Australia.
Hi, I just checked their website - www.cksperformance.com/ and i noticed that the spoiler is no longer listed. Not even the Edition 1 parts. Maybe Merc stopped supplying them as they exported outside the EU? Maybe email them and ask...

Thanks! It's not that practical with a 2 year old but it looks awesome!
I've found that scraping the glue off with a plastic card works great
Hi, great video. May I ask how the spoiler has been holding up since installation? Solid?
Hi, yeh it’s great... not had it fall off!!!!
Looks awesome.....
Is that a OME Mercedes-AMG spoiler.?
What was CKS like to deal with.
I live in Brisbane Australia.

Hi, I really liked the initial spoiler that you removed because it is thinner.
Would you know where I could buy that? I'd even buy yours haha :)

Hi. This spoiler can fit for Carbolet model or just fit for two door couple only?
Thanks
