They both have sold 70 million + albums but Pearl Jam did it without using much press after their first album, quit making videos on 7 consecutive albums (not many bands can do or would do this) and avoided massive touring (now they tour shit loads) and still sold tonnes. Why? Because they are pretty fucking amazing and a lot of people connect with teh music. Five songwriters in Pearl Jam vs. one in Oasis (Songbird? Liam should never say anything after that Sesame Street track) Pearl Jam are a better band, they are still together and they keep putting out amazing records. RIP. Oasis. Your pub rock shite will be surely missed.
