Laura, don't apologize for anything, ever! We love your videos and wouldn't want to change anything. Tell Grant to get some weight on his Army truck. :)
I hope you checked the oil just after you shut it down to make sure it did not look a little milky, to verify you did not get a little water in the oil pan. Also check all three axles.
It's my understanding that you have to turn rye under and wait 14 days before planting because as it dies or begins to decompose it emits a gas that will prevent germination of your new seeds.
Laura, I am a dad and a grampa. I have all girls. Love them!! If I may? Your dad must be a very, very proud papa indeed. You are an inspiration. Thank you. A wonderful young lady. Keep up the good fight.
Laura yrs ago got the beans in. Got a big rain. The soil crusted heard. Small bean plants lifting several feet the crust. Some places drown out. We replanted.
Hey Grant: when you check the engine oil be sure to also check the rear diff for milkshakes. It's common to ignore those until the rear end fully self-destructs.
Perfect suggestion. Yeah, we had a lot of rear diff milk shakes after field time in South Georgia swamps and wet lands around southern GA and neighboring states. The tank trails around Fort Knox in KY would do a number on the old deuce and a halfs and 5 and 10 ton trucks too. Nothing like getting a humV up to the windshield in sloshing mud and putting it in lowest gear and letting it walk through by itself either. The only problem was stopping on the other end to let out as much as possible from the cabin (and shoveling out what didn't flow freely) and the wash-out back at the motor pool. Hopefully you were able to get to a wash before it hardened, same with the trucks. A pressure washer was always preferable to a hammer and chisel. 😂🤣😂🤣
Also, is your front axle not engaging? It would help in the river ya know. Good luck with it! Oh yea, I have a ‘67 IH Loadstar 4 sale it would be a great gift for Laura!
I always remind people that when they add a snorkel to a 4WD vehicle they need to think about an axle breather kit. They are not too expensive and can save a you from a lot of problems if you spend time driving in water.
Laura, glad you were able to get the planting done, maybe... Grant, Zero Turn Toro in the ditch... Military truck in the mud hole... starting to see a pattern... so remember, growing up is inevitable but growing up is optional... and that looked like fun!
Laura do not worry about it you do so well young lady.....I and we are so impressed by you! You are so solid! WHat a work ethic.....I wish I was like you more!!!!!
Please don't be a slave to an upload schedule Laura, I'm happy to see your vlogs whenever they come. Thinking about the soil, how has it changed throughout history, I wonder ? How does the nutrient level compare. I guess it was prairie ? More generally I'm interested to know whether farmers have changed their crop strategies due to the Ukraine/Russia war ? (Sorry if you've already covered this as I'm still catching up!)
All of this instrumentation and screens in the cab are such a far cry from when I was farming as a kid. Didn't even have a cab on our tractors back then. However dad did eventually buy a harvester with a cab. First piece of equipment dad bought with a cab on it. My grandad was a superstitious person and believed that International was the only decent brand of farming equipment. He genuinely believed the barn would burn down if we had a John Deere on the farm. After grandad passed away dad finally bought our second piece of equipment with a cab on it. It was a John Deere. This was also after International went bankrupt and was bought by Case. And, no, the barn did not burn down. In fact it's still standing to this day 22 years after dad sold the farm to the amish.
Laura there are so many farmer videos on UA-cam so many people are doing it and you by far are the best I swear .your hard worker you're very very smart and I have to give it to you for what you do never stop doing what you do your the boomb!!!
For drought times you need a firetruck outfit with a drive behind water tank and a storage pond to siphon from and spread water drenching over a vast area of planted field🌬💧
Laura y’all are lucky, the fields are too wet to plant where most of my relatives farm. Hey Grant, I never imagined seeing you in chest waders driving your military truck, it would make a great mobile duck blind. 👍😎🙏✌️
I'm really impressed with the stretch of that Yankum rope. Laura you have the best enunciation and speaking voice and you keep your train of thought even with interruptions.
Glad you're FINALLY done planting!!! Have "The Grant" give you a big hug for us! Well done ma'am! Glad Grant got to play around with this jumbo Tonka truck!!! MORE POWER!!!!
Hurray, your finally done. Don't worry about posting all the time. We know that you are hard at work and putting in some really long days. We will patiently wait on you because your videos are great, and we love you and your videos are totally worth waiting for. Happy Memorial Day to you and all of your family and let us never forget the true meaning of this holiday.
Your attitude, outlook, and growing knowledge is a joy to see, youngsters like yourself having a positive impact on your business and environment and your family is lacking in most young people or never shone. Keep up the great work, take it easy on yourself. Everyone has an oops every now and then.
The front axle isnt engaging when switching to 6x6. Check the air lock on it. Also be careful when working with the carc paint highly toxic when sanding, grinding or burning.
Thanks for sharing your 2022 planting roadmap with us and it's been great to see your husband crossing the water with his truck. Enjoy your weekend with hopefully 1 day off with your love ones! Cheers
The only difference between men and boys is the price, size and apparently the age of their toys. LOL. Way to go guys! Laura, our area has been so swamped with rainwater that planting is just not happening. Enjoy it. Prayers continuing for your grandpa.
Great video, sorry that you had to replant laura. Grant was having so much fun in the army truck. Nice to see Grant using matts off road recovery yankum ropes.
Laura, you got me going again! Weather here perfect for laying down some more seed as I don't see much happening from my last try. So I'm going to lub up the spreader, fire up the JD E110, and give it another go. P.S. As I watched Grant get hauled out of the drink by his good friend, I thought to myself "Is he going to give it another go?". Sure enough. Great fun down on the Farm. Thanks for Sharing!
I love those old 5tons, they are one of the coolest pieces of engineering ever made into reality, they are so bare bones, there's nothing in them that isn't necessary, no creature comfort whatsoever, pure badassery 👍🏻🖤⚡🏴☠️
I am a little shocked Grant was able to get that stuck. It isn't broken is it? Thanks Laura, my neighbors in s.e Pennsylvania growing up had what I now understand as small farms. Great to see another side of farming. Have a great weekend!!
Laura for us we had the same problems with the soybeans breaking so for us we have to use a rotatory hoe to break up the top crust cause we had that problem for us it went from 60’s to 90’s and it crusted everything
Glad to hear you are finally done planting. Now you need to take a break for a few days and rest up. Thoose daylight to dark and beyond days will take it out of you.
We used to use a "rotory hoe" to run over the field to break the crust up. Had rows of spiked wheels (more spikes than wheels) to run thru the fields. Before we got a new one (from Sear believe it or not) we had one my grandfather pulled with mules. We had several tools no longer used. Spring toothed harrow and a drag. The drag goes back to at least the middle ages.
Ha, looked like Grant was having a blast! Funny how the sound of the fan on the truck just disappears as soon as the belts get water splashed onto them. Is the front axle engaging, don't see any wheel spin on the front wheels?
Me: Good morning my tractor!!.. start the engine and open the door!!...Prepared my coffee now!!.😁 Tractor Otonomus voice assistant: Okey ma boss😉.. Wait for second!!...kopi☕ is being prepared😁
Laura and Grant: You need to go to Minnesota and help Zach Johnson planting his corn. He is having all kinds of electrical gremlins in his John Deere planter.
You need about 1000 on the back of that 5T dude! Used to drive those in the late 90’s till early 00’s; spent way too much time in the damn things (btw never buy ‘military grade’, it’s built by the lowest bidder!) Get some weight on those back axes and you’ll never get stuck again bro! Love the channel, watch every episode!😉
If ya like...fyi: " the last 2 or 3 videos ", both Laura n Grant ,went over all of the options n calculations n computer wizardry that is required to do, what they do, during ( planting season)! If that will help you??
Laura, as hard as you work and as many hours as you guys put in each day, you do not have to apologize to us if you miss a schedule you have set. As for me, it makes me happy whenever you post. Though, I must say, not as happy as Grant while he was out muddin in the military truck! 😁
From 8:40 it's seriously looks like Spintires: Mud Runner :D Great videos, really nice to see when you upload and I wish you further to upload great videos
Grant... that was so funny. 😂 Now, I've seen Heavy D and his truck recovery videos... so does that mean your going to start up a "Heavy G" rival channel. 😉
You are awesome Laura. So is Grant. The love that you two have for each other is apparent!
Laura, don't apologize for anything, ever! We love your videos and wouldn't want to change anything. Tell Grant to get some weight on his Army truck. :)

Looks fun Grant

Der Truck ist der hammer! Wirklich schönes ein Gerät 👌😊😊

Laura yrs ago got the beans in. Got a big rain. The soil crusted heard. Small bean plants lifting several feet the crust. Some places drown out. We replanted.
We got rain today so that’s good.
Dont you worry about us. Love your farm life. Plantings done and you get a well deserved brake. Stay away from Grant and his 6x6. You will get wet. 😆
Good job y’all!!!!! Enjoy!!!!
Thank you for the video you a little sweetie
Im glad you got him unstuck!
Looks like fun. These things are just too heavy to be great mudders.
Thanks Laura
Love you and Grant too..

Did that once, or rather didn't check it-the rear end did self-destruct.
LOL GRANT.....you and Laura are so FUN to watch online UA-cam....
Really appreciate your videos. You and Grant are awesome. Blessings to you from Alabama.
See you guys in the next time!!!

I knew Grant would have to try it again. That is just the way it is.
For drought times you need a firetruck outfit with a drive behind water tank and a storage pond to siphon from and spread water drenching over a vast area of planted field🌬💧
Poor Laura planting and working so hard and Grant out playing lol.
No problem. Good to be along for the ride.
Laura y’all are lucky, the fields are too wet to plant where most of my relatives farm. Hey Grant, I never imagined seeing you in chest waders driving your military truck, it would make a great mobile duck blind. 👍😎🙏✌️
Oh look! Some new content! Grant tearing stuff up!!! We’ve never seen that before!!!
We love what you are doing so keep that lovely smile.

Hello from Shreveport Louisiana USA 🇺🇸, I injoy 👀 seeing life on the Farm 🚜 😄, looking Forward to the next Videos 📹 😀 !!!!
The front axle isnt engaging when switching to 6x6. Check the air lock on it. Also be careful when working with the carc paint highly toxic when sanding, grinding or burning.

Good job Grant.
love you both and thank you for letting us come along
The only difference between men and boys is the price, size and apparently the age of their toys. LOL. Way to go guys! Laura, our area has been so swamped with rainwater that planting is just not happening. Enjoy it. Prayers continuing for your grandpa.
The one thing I know about row crop farming is planting and harvest are the really busy times. Work when you have to, play when you can.
glad to see Grant enjoy his truck just glad engine didn't get water logged love you guys God bless and stay safe ♥
YUP LOVE THIS STUFF! WHAT A WONDERFUL COUPLE 🌄
Great video, sorry that you had to replant laura. Grant was having so much fun in the army truck. Nice to see Grant using matts off road recovery yankum ropes.

Hi Laura. Your videos are on time when you post them. Have good days!

LOL, Grant having fun, Got to love those tires
Keep the videos coming, it is really enjoyable riding with you, keep up the good work!
Invest in a winch for your 5-ton. Those things will pull themselves up the side of a mountain!
Laura works and the boys play with the Tonka toys . Mmmmmm
Love your channel, Laura!
Thanks for sharing!!
Looks like so much fun!
I am a little shocked Grant was able to get that stuck.
It isn't broken is it?
Thanks Laura, my neighbors in s.e
Pennsylvania growing up had what I now understand as small farms. Great to see another side of farming.
Have a great weekend!!
just looks like he hasn't gotten the front wheel drive to work properly yet
Laura that beeping every 5 seconds would drive me crazy 😝 .
Glad to see you are done planting I guess you can not let grant be unattended..lol
Drove many a 1/4 ton, 3/4 ton, 2 1/2 ton, 5 ton, and 10 ton tractors in the ARMY. Real Work horses and can take much abuse.
Laura for us we had the same problems with the soybeans breaking so for us we have to use a rotatory hoe to break up the top crust cause we had that problem for us it went from 60’s to 90’s and it crusted everything
Bee! bee! BEEEEP!!!!
That would drive me nuts. Ngl
Glad to hear you are finally done planting. Now you need to take a break for a few days and rest up. Thoose daylight to dark and beyond days will take it out of you.
Looking well Laura all the way from Ireland 🇨🇮
MORR version of the Yankum rope 🤜💥🤛
Love me some MORR videos too 🥂
Hi Laura. Simple Question, why wasn't the Field loosened up before seeing ?
Doesn't tractor tiers kill small bean plant?
This comment is for Grant. Been watching your Laura’s channel and enjoyed it a lot what is the chance of a ride along during harvest?
Good video Laura you are doing an awesome job on your videos with farming

I wish I was helping you guys..I love your channel God Bless America :)
Please stay weather aware this weekend!
Great job Laura and great fun Grant 👍
Me: Good morning my tractor!!.. start the engine and open the door!!...Prepared my coffee now!!.😁

Laura and Grant: You need to go to Minnesota and help Zach Johnson planting his corn. He is having all kinds of electrical gremlins in his John Deere planter.
Ur doing really well on the vlogging front. Hang in there, planting will b completed, soon.

Laura, as a non farmer could you find the time to go over the controls of this tractor? Thank you so much and love your videos!
If ya like...fyi: " the last 2 or 3 videos ", both Laura n Grant ,went over all of the options n calculations n computer wizardry that is required to do, what they do, during ( planting season)! If that will help you??
That's kind of what I play with every day. Except my 6 wheel drive has a front discharge ready mix concrete truck. 36000 pounds empty
Laura, as hard as you work and as many hours as you guys put in each day, you do not have to apologize to us if you miss a schedule you have set.
As for me, it makes me happy whenever you post. Though, I must say, not as happy as Grant while he was out muddin in the military truck! 😁
Are the axle breathers up high, you, should check fluid levels for water 😎😎
Sorry you had more work in the fields. Pray for rain😁👍. Tell grant to lower his PSI, then Send it!!
From 8:40 it's seriously looks like Spintires: Mud Runner :D Great videos, really nice to see when you upload and I wish you further to upload great videos
Hello here from Denmark 🇩🇰 Nice to follow you. 👍😊
that pond looks as though it is looow on water!
I USED TO DRIVE A TRK LIKE THAT BACK IN THE DAY.
Grant... that was so funny. 😂
Now, I've seen Heavy D and his truck recovery videos... so does that mean your going to start up a "Heavy G" rival channel. 😉
Why isn't your front axle working..?
So I wandering, which out of your farm, the larsons farm and millennium farmer has the largest farm? And who has the smallest by acreage
WOW, What monitors what to tell you that you need to replant certain area's???? Because of soil conditions etc?
