Great video as always. Thanks man. Love the clip slide feature, loved that feature in S1 and did not know Live had it. BWW, any content focused on the nerdy side of Live is encouraged, New to Live so fundamentals reminders along the way are always appreciated. Cheers!
Every video you release I learn something new about Live. I've been using it for 10 plus years and im still uncovering features due to your videos. Thank you!!
The drum rack send feature is cool. Just a week ago I wanted to try sending snare to my rev in drum rack but oh well there was no send option. Now I know where it is. Will definitely use it in my mixing stage. Thank you!
Love that the Aha-Moment you figured out in our conversation made it to the vid! Great stuff as always! And sure, nerding out together would be fun without a doubt 🎉
Those choppy and repetitive chops work every single time. No matter if it’s liquid like “used to this” or this piece of garbage I made 😂 means a world bro 🙏
Glad to hear that 🙏 honestly, the plan was to turn this drum rack part into a drum processing video but I got a little distracted 😅 will do one next months for sure since I got two other ideas in the works already
Not at all, I use both. Although VSX emulations are great, majority of time I spend with those open back Sennheisers. They’re way more comfortable and detailed
@@Zdrewe I thank you my friend, for the great work your doing. Where are you from? I can tell your from Eastern Europe by your accent. Portugal here. 👋
Thanks man! Honestly I’m trash when it comes to releasing songs 😅 making videos and working full time takes a whole lot of energy. Think I’m about to put all of those tutorial ones on SoundCloud spontaneously starting September
One suggestion you need to get a Pateron sorted I'm sure you'll get loads in on it , why not get money for your awesome vids. I have a question as well dude , when you were pitch shifting the Opt+Shift+Drag audio sample you bought up the Pitch/Warp Tab on that sample , is there a shortcut for that ?
I’m leaning towards to UA-cam membership instead of Patreon to keep everything focused around one platform. I actually have it queued to dive into this weekend. The pitch warp tab is a Max4Live device called Clip Gain. Really underpriced for how useful it is.
Hey, thanks for the tips! i was wondering: at min 7:32 you hit a button and a little window with pitch and volume option pops up. what is this feature / what button shows it?
I got the pro version, plus seem to only have an additional cord and headband pad which was not so necessary for me (you can get some third party fancy mini xlr cables if you want). Speaking of sound, if you transfer from closed m40x, it’s gonna be day and night difference. I tried many headphones - m50, beyer 770 and 990 and those hd490 are the cleanest and the top notch quality for me. At first I couldn’t decide between those and 1990 but the signature over enhanced top end in beyerdynamics sound too harsh for me.
@@Zdrewe Before I got the m40x I got a set of dt990 pro and the high end was so harsh I took them back the same day haha! Never understood why people like them so much. Definitely need to give the hd490's a shot I'm going to order a set right now! Love your content btw from one proud audio geek to another haha! Have a good one 👊
@@INNERMONO_ can talk gear and plugins for a ages 😂 I also can’t get how people enjoy the harshness of beyers. I worked on 770 for a while and it’s weird how closed backs can be soo sizzling.
yeah bro let me get that 1/2048 grid size on the MIDI clip. that's fuckin useful.....said no one ever. using this over adaptive is literally amateur hour. It slows you down, and looks like shit when you change view size, then you have to waste more time readjusting? there's a reason they implemented the adaptive grid over a decade ago

Glad to hear that 🙏 I mean, it may sound nerdy but the more you dig deeper into Live, the more you love it
Opt+shift drag crazy W bass samples too
Gr8 video
CTRL SHIFT DRAG INSTEAD OF ALT!!!! KEEP WITH THE GOOD CONTENT BRO
See, I haven’t read the manual properly 😂
@@Zdrewe I'm not mad, just excited xD
wow, the side chain trick on listen, nice👍
another great video, thanksman

Seems like we have similar experience then and honestly I know what you mean 😂 glad to hear that 🙏

No worries! Yes it’s kinda hidden but saves a lot of time with routing and processing
10+ years of using ableton and still i learn something new every day from you 🙌🙌
Glad to see you here brother 😎
woaah the last tip is gold

JESSSSSSSSSSS what i needed most LFG
Yo, this is Ninja-Level content and your tunes are hitting solid. Keep it up, and great community around here BTW 🙂
Really, really means a world friend 🙏🙏
this video is not click bait at all!!!
ive been using ableton since live 9 and NEVER noticed when that drum rack bit was added...
Not to make you feel worse or something but I think it’s been then earlier than 9 😂
@@Zdrewe bruh 😩

Thanks a lot my friend 🙏

The vocal chop kinda reminds me of Wilkinson - Used to this
Amazing knowledge as always btw. Thank you very much master
Those choppy and repetitive chops work every single time. No matter if it’s liquid like “used to this” or this piece of garbage I made 😂 means a world bro 🙏
For the midi grid you can set it to only draw within one note range at a time within options btw 😉
Great video. Could you possibly do a video on how you process your Drum & Bass drums?
Glad to hear that 🙏 honestly, the plan was to turn this drum rack part into a drum processing video but I got a little distracted 😅 will do one next months for sure since I got two other ideas in the works already
Great video! Did you switch from the VSX bro?

@@Zdrewe hehe, sorry, my bad!
Nice! Thank you!
Any time my bro 🙏
WHAT IS THAT PITCH THING IN THE ENDD OF THE VIDEO THAT U USED TO SHIFT THE PITCH OF THE CHOP?
Max4Live device called ClipGain. You can map its window to a specific key to turn it off and on. Thanks for sticking to the end btw 🙏
@@Zdrewe The most used M4L device for my part! Thanks for your work btw! ;)
@nicodepasse I was late to the party with this one but once I used to teat it as another “shortcut” then I can’t live without it. Means a world 🙏
came here just to ask the same wtffffff
Nice !!
Which camera do you use bro ? Looks dope ! Great video anyway!
Thanks man! It’s nothing fancy honestly - Canon M50 with 22mm lens.

thanks

The last feature there was clip gain plugin right? Or is there a free version?
Great content! What is the waveform plugin that you have floating on top of all your sessions?
It’s a standalone app called MiniMeters. You can set those modules whenever you want
Don't forget that you can use control + shift + alt THEN drag to go really fine with that last tip, no stepping.
See, that’s what I was talking about in the intro and the community part - I had no idea about it. Thanks a lot for the tip 🙏

Clipgain M4L device 😉

This little window is ClipGain Max 4 Live device. You can map it to any key you want 😉
@@Zdrewe looks super nice, will check it out. Thank you!
I'm thinking of getting a set of the HD-490 Pro Plus, they worth the dough? I'd be upgrading from my Audio Technica m40x

Don't mind me.. just going to casually steal this video idea for Logic Pro users
7:36 How did you get that box to open up in the arrangement view like that to adjust the pitch of that audio sample?
It’s M4L device called ClipGain. You can map your keyboard to open its floating window 😉
🤟
The bluescreen tho
ahh yes the snob daw 💀
yo wait, is that a pitch pop up window on the clip???? what's the command for that.

7:33 how did he do that bruh ???
wow i saw the comment down below , dangerous max4live device 🔥🔥
how can people still think pro tools is better is out of my mind.
I'm still in Ableton 9 none of this appears on my daw 😮💨
you can do all of these bar velocity as the M4Lfunction works only in 12, and sample slide which I believe was 10. I used to do all of these in 9 Lite
I hadn't updated for a while. 12's worth it I reckon. So much to play with in there.
Ctrl + Shift + Drag.
Not Alt + Shift + Drag!
My mistake! Totally forgot the correct Win keys 😅
Btw my heard stopped for a sec, thought that Black Sun Empire is watching my vids 😂
