I’ve had two and they have been BOTH problematic..FTFs and go into battery. Just got mine back from CANIK today…they replaced the guide rod and tuned the extractor…we’ll see if it’s fixed..I’ll carry my Shield Plus and AXG Legion until this thing can put 1000 reliable rounds through it

First batch from ‘22 did have issues, mine was one. Canik admits to it and offers a replacement recoil spring and barrel with revised feed ramp, problem solved!

Mine has been 100% reliable through 4000 rounds. I'm phasing out carrying these micros though, since I prefer (and train) more often with full size guns. For example, I train with a Glock 34 gen 5 and carry the Glock 49 most these days. The smaller guns carry actually less comfortable for me. The weight is nice I guess but that was never really an issue for me. I used to carry an FNX 45 and before that, a Glock 21

Ive carried my MC9 since March'23 and put 17.k rounds down it. The last about 10k of that with a comp. I know many have had aome issues, but mine has been incredibly reliable. And comp'd its amazing. The flattest gun ive shot

For the money it properly can't be beat 🤔.
Unfortunately one has to question most of these UA-cam firearms channel s. Did they alter the firearm so it no longer functions properly ? Are they looking to increase views / subscriber's ?
You're UA-cam channel has never caused one to pause and wonder.
You're correct about using a firearm in self defense.
My husband's co-worker has been in 5 such situations 3 when another L.E. agent was involved in the shooting, the other two where he was the L.E. agent who shot in self defense. All of the incidents were quite different.
You're UA-cam channel is by far the best 😄.
    You're honesty is commendable.
We wish you and Teya a great day 😄🙏

Looks like a great gun. I agree; there’s pain, excruciating pain, and there’s stepping on a Lego in your bare feet! 😂

I found your discussion about individuals experiencing a combat situation and each describing it differently hauntingly familiar. I used to train warehouse personnel on the use of computerized shipping systems and experienced having students describe the training differently many times.
The Mete MC9 seems like a good CCW pistol, but it is not one I will select. Mainly because I already have more than enough CCW handguns. The trigger which everyone gushes over on the Mete SFt was horrendous to me for the purpose I intended, but it would have been very good for a defensive handgun. I suspect the Mete MC9 shares that trigger.

I own it and I love it. had a few hiccups when new, mag wouldn't drop. fixed it easily. I put a holosun 407 k green dot on it. will eat anything unlike the sc 9, which is very picky. Been waiting for you to review it. Thanks

One of the pistols I have been keeping my eyes on …
And yes I agree about certain opinions about firearms of You Tube .. especially if its a influencer ..
alot of failures are caused by the shooter .. or the free ammo they are blasting…
So many influencers.. run a pistol dry ..
personally I clean and lube my pistol first .. I load up my mags for a few days and let them sit … I will work the slide manually for awhile.. around 10mins or less
Then .. I go to the range ..
and its the only pistol I take ( besides my carry pistol)
I have had great luck with some pistols that have received a bad rap …
    Influencers are influenced..

I've always thought that, by adding an accessory rail to the front of this small pistol, the room in the trigger guard was very small. Thoughts?

Mine was great for about 500 rounds then became highly unreliable with failure to feed with all types of ammo. It fails to feed at random with ball ammo and issued off duty hollow point ammo with all magazines and in a clean weapon. This thing is hot garbage, if you want to die in the gun fight carry this. 👎

There were some legitimate issues with the gun, like feeding issues and an out of battery (that caused a dead trigger). For fixes I highly recommend watching the "Canik Mete MC9 Out of Battery Failure Fix" video by @BRDefense. I think that he described possible reasons beautifully and it is quite easy homemade fix that anyone can do, if you're experiencing this kind of issues. Basically there are three reasons:
    1) Extremely tight extractor spring - causing issues to properly hook it around a cartridge being currently feeded,
    2) Polymer portion of the lower protruding above the metal slide rails - causing extra unnecessary drag against the slide, and
    3) Burrs on the feed rail in the slide - scratching the brass of the next round in the magazine while feeding the current one.
I'm considering buying the MC9 myself, so it is best to be aware of any potential issues that may or may not affect that gun in the future.
One note to that video - I do not recommend shortening the extractor spring. Instead, I would put a piece of wood or an empty casing to cause the extractor to pop out and its spring to fully compress and leave it that way for a night or two. That should loosen up the extractor properly without actually modifying any part unnecessarily.

I've never had any issues with mine.

    • @rlaw2
      @rlaw2 23 дні тому +1

There are definitely issues with the gun. I just bought one three weeks ago. No failures to feed but I did have the out of battery problem. I tried all the fixes and now have one range session of 150 rounds with no issues. I would like to carry it, as I chose this over other established brands but I will wait until I have many more rounds through it to make sure the fixes are permanent.

@@rlaw2 Seems reasonable. Just got mine. I've been dryfiring it a lot and can't wait to actually shoot it. I'm hoping to see no issues, as for many folks this gun works flawlessly.
