You are really good at this. You not only watch the movie, but appreciate it on a deeper level. I see a lot of people don’t quite understand the scene where he shakes Mary and says he doesn’t want to get married. A lot of reactions focus on his bi-polar reaction, but you nailed. He was clearly frustrated with his life course, and Mary and Bedford Falls symbolized his failed attempts at living his dream.
Krampus is one of my favorite horror themed Christmas movie. It takes all of the tropes of a typical Christmas movie & basically turns it on it's head. Ultimately subverting expectations. I also like the incorporation of Krampus; a mythical figure in European folklore that basically acts as the antithesis of Santa Claus. I feel like not many people are familiar with the lore of Krampus & I find it refreshing that it's finally being represented in a bigger medium. Black Christmas (1974) is another horror movie that I love that also takes place around Christmas. It's basically a slasher film. Great reaction & have a Merry Christmas! Or else Krampus will pay a visit lol
I watched it before but already forgotten it tbh. I like your reactions and commentary! It was nice rewatching this here and I had fun. Looking forward to your next uploads! Keep it coming girl. 😊
In a blizzard like that, you're right, it is easy to get turned around and lost. It's very dangerous in sparsely populated areas. "It squeaks when you smack it." The reason I like this movie is because of the ending not being cliche. As soon as Max was dropped, I was like "Wait, wha?! Woo!" Thanks for doing this one!
I did eventually like the unconventional ending for sure. Took a little but I came around. A little sad that essentially this all happened because Max lost heart. Poor kid haha
Just in time for Christmas. I like the explanation of the ending that someone else mentioned; Krampus is just watching them, they're not trapped. I enjoyed the little animated part in the middle too. I would totally watch this entire movie like that. Always great to see you watch a movie you love. Look forward to the next one! :D
They actually aren't trapped in Hell. The snow globes are a way for Krampus to keep an eye on those he's spared, and the bell he gave them is like the one the grandmother got. A warning to always remember. Now the family always has to be good because Krampus let them off the hook once but won't do so again. According to the source material anyway.
@@PlastiSeennot a theory, it’s literally how it works in the comics this movie was based on. Snow globes are supposedly how Santa Claus keeps tabs on certain people too, in some iterations of the character. Krampus is same magic just different purpose. They all woke up in their beds thinking it was just a bad dream and went about their day. The look on their faces was just from them all realizing it wasn’t just a nightmare. Guess they should’ve added some random kids playing outside in the snow for people to get the meaning of the globes.
Nice movie to start Christmas with. There are a bunch of Krampus movies, some outright horror, sone campy. There are also a lot of Santa-based holiday horror movies. Check out A Christmas Horror Story for a bit of both. Not great but it's a fun romp.
I love this movie. I actually kinda think this film is perfect for kids. Like if you want to introduce your kids to horror without traumatizing them too much show them this. It’s not too scary, not too violent, tells a good story about Christmas. lol I don’t think there are enough horror movies that ride that line perfectly. Either they’re too scary, or too violent for children and it kinda takes the fun out of sharing my love of horror when they can’t handle it sometimes. I grew up on the scariest most violent films and I turned out ok but my kids are weenies so I’m glad this movie exists so they can experience how fun horror can be. 😂
Hello there, i'm a new subscriber thanks to your Saving Private Ryan reaction and i thought i'd give you a few suggestions to react to. First off The Martian, it's a great feel good film starring Matt Damon and also a short but fantastic tv show called Firefly and the follow up movie Serenity. I have many other suggestions but i thought i'd get you started on these 😁

That’s an interesting theory and sounds a lot more like a happy ending than what the film portrays!

There's a movie with only one old reaction to its credit; it's called Deepwater Horizon and Mark Warburg stars in it.
Be blessed.
