Agreed, the entire point of hot rodding is being different!

It was an honor running with you and the Astro last year. When I get fully healed from my surgery, I’ll be back at Union Hill running with you again.

I watched the astro build because it was so different to me. And now you got my attention on the 300-6 build. So you are right it's OK to be different!

Sometimes you get oddball innovation like Tommy Ivo's 4 engine buick nail head powered dragster.

True hot rodding IS being different! No that it's necessary to not use a formula that works. We all are different, stands to reason our cars are too! Thanks for sharing Nick. By the way, the walk through the cemetery is an interesting back drop

It's the Historical Mt Olivet, the Vanderbilts are buried here along with all the Victorian era Nashville high society. Neat place for a walk.

If you do what everyone else does, you get the same results. It's good to get new data.

Chrysler 3.3 and 3.8. I've been wondering how nobody uses those. These are sub 100$ in junkyard as far as eye can see and people don't touch them even with 10ft pole. Been thinking about adapting it to RWD setup and cranking up the boost or nitrous until it lets go. And then get another one for 100$.
Cadillac 4.6 Northstar seems to be quite a powerhouse also. 300hp in stock STS trim and almost bolts up to GM 60-degree V6 bell housing. You just need to do the head stud conversion.

The Chrysler 3.3 and 3.8 is actually fairly peppy in the Lebanon and caravans. I could see great potential in that engine. The Northstar would be awesome with carburetors and a crank trigger msd ignition.

Good deal brother. You are so right. Dare to be different and stop being like the next person. I am the one with the 03'Crown Vic Police Interceptor working on the Ls3 swap. Everyone keeps jumping on me, why don't I 5.0 swap it. Because I don't want to. And I don't wantba 5.3 turbo like almost everyone else. I just want a
N/a build so I chose the 6.2L to give me the power I wanted without boost. It's costing me alot more in the end because I am having to piece this engine together. Can't afford $10 grand for a drop out lol. I had a block fall in my lap cheap. I had to have 1 sleeve replaced, but that started me on my journey. I bought this Vic from the Miami Police Auction back Feb 2016 for $1650. 91k miles. She has 170k on her now and I sold the engine and trans and put the money towards my swap. I am having alot of fun. This project us with my grandkids when they can be here. It's all about the fun but it is not always fun lol.

“Dare to be different?” Remember I showed up to “The Hill” in a stick-shift turbo Saab convertible. I come to find out that I’m the only stick-shift on the track. I know my Saab is a horrible drag-car but it’s so damn fun running down the track and with the top down everyone can see the fun I’m having rowing through gears while the tires were spinning.

I don't know.... your Saab put the hurtin on my V8 astro ... I'd say it's a pretty good drag car. Lol
