Great video, I also like that you included how you use the produce you grow on your allotment. I am always looking for new ways to use the greens from my back garden. Going to try your cooking tips out, thanks.
Wohoo! Hows your compost bay looking? :) I actually think they work better for this sort of thing and definitely would have used some myself if I had any, but alas I did have plenty of screws as you could see from my green bucket!
@@tommydaviesx it’s a good thing! I’m finally sorting out my 3rd of an acre garden ,so recycling and repurposing as much as possible.. This will utilise the pallets and provide me compost with all the cuttings and leafs. So it’s all good
Try to always make a slightly diagonal cut when pruning, so water rolls off, and decease rotting. Then your small tree should have a better chance of surviving.
Thanks for the tip, I know some people say it like you do, but I've always thought on such a small cut, the benefits of a diagonal cut for water runoff vs the increased surface area of the cut haven't been worth it?

Thank you Jack with the compliment! :D and thank you Jack with the sub! :D
I used cable ties to hold my pallets in place since I don't do power tools etc. 😅

@@petebartlett2229 Nice thats a big garden! :D I know what a good idea to turn something you need to get rid of into something you need to buy!
Where do you get the pallets from?
I got them from work (Getting People Growing) so I cheated a bit but if you ask around they're pretty readily available! :D
Nice and sturdy!
Definitely is! Nice and sturdy and nice and simple! :D
I recently found out the oranges I bought were sprayed with a load of pesticides, since then I am only putting organic peels in my compost 😬
I know isn't just about everything we're buying in most shops?!
It’s a mushroom!
Its a bird!!!
