Respect and thanks for this thorough test. I'm thrilled by President George 2. Thank you again for your intensive work. All the best and kind regards 73 +55 👍👍👍 Juliet Delta 4 -Germany-
Just a heads up for those of US in the USA. The fcc version of this radio is expandable for now. President left out the middle final transistor and the the white jumper wire that is in the UK/European version. Along with an extra board that is added for the US weather radio weather band receive only.
That is good FCC junk expands not so for other models . Is FCC models 20 watts on SSB at least being its mising a final ? With all the other radios falxys and such we should be way past these FCC models all should be expandable via a jumper plug What it the freq range of the George USA
Currently there are many of simple and primitive reviews from the George 2. This video is professional from the camera work to the explanations. Very good, NLK Media. I hope there will be another practical test.
When I was in field service in the nineties I had an Alinco DX-70T in my car. It did everything I needed from a radio, FM, 100 watts, CTCSS, repeater splits. And it was much smaller than a TS-430.
Hi, The DX-70TH looks like an HF beast and 100W will take some cooling. The Yaesu FT-891 is worth a look and also 100W. The Kenwood is a massive radio and certainly not for the car :-). Happy new year and all the best for 2024
@@NLKMediaGroup IIRC, it had a little fan built into the heat sink. Apparently, despite having been discontinued many years ago they are going for crazy money online. When I stopped going on the road a friend of mine paid me more than I paid for it. It was an amazing radio in 1996, but I can't see the prices they're getting for them. You'd think that the Chinese would sell a rebadged version clone.
Hi Karl, I had some issues with testing SSB power unfortunately. The max power rating slug I have for the "old bird" is 25W and my other meters I don't trust with SSB so I was a bit stuck. I need to source a 50W slug going forward. Anyway, I hope the video was useful and thanks for watching. All the best MJ7NLK
I've done CB radio servicing at a US truck stop (with a license) in my early years. It's interesting to see what's new, (very new to me). And, I like that your tools and setup are very similar to what I own and use weekly. Great job, nice voice, clean shop, great descriptions.
Hi James, thank you for the feedback, greatly appreciated. The George 2 has a new NRC (noise reduction circuit) feature which is really good. It allows you to filter on TX and RX independently and set different levels. I have been playing with this and it works really well. All the best and thanks for watching MJ7NLK
Bravo for this excellent video, presented professionally and with a "touch of humor" that I appreciate. As a fully licensed radio amateur (Switzerland), I ordered this station to redo some QSOs in 27MHz because it seems of very good quality seeing the internal board, which changes TRX with technologies from the 80s that we still find on the market Bravo pour cette excellente vidéo, présentée de façon professionnelle et avec une "pointe d'humour" que j'apprécie.
Thank you Scanflight for your feedback which is greatly appreciated. I hope your enjoying the George 2, it really is a lovely radio. The noise reduction circult works really well and makes the George 2 a pleasure to use. The Lincoln 2 plus would have also been a good choice but the NRC on the George is the deciding factor for me (although I have both radios). All the best and thank you for watching. 73 MJ7NLK
Sorry for the delay, had awful problems getting hold of a unit to test, ordered units three times with various places saying they had them in stock and then turning out they didnt. Anyway, hope you enjoyed the video and found it useful. All the best MJ7NLK

@@lowlife243 Thank you for the feedback, am looking at the Lincoln 2+ for the next video. I tried ordering one from Germany and that didnt work out well, then a UK supplier who took my money and then said its not in stock and kept me waiting with "they are coming in on Friday" and then had none but I finally managed to get one and it was worth the wait. All the best and thanks for commenting and watching. MJ7NLK
They are both excellent but the George 2 has the new NRC feature which can be adjusted independently on TX and RX and is brilliant. So, on balance the George 2 would be better. President have a winner on their hands with the George 2 and it has been difficult to get hold of. I am told that the CRT SS 6900V .7 version is cheaper than the George 2 and uses the same circuit board. I have ordered one to check it out and see. All the best and thanks for watching

NLK Media the George II is also to be dethroned in just about a Month. President is bringing out a new King called the President Washington!! I am skipping the George II as I already have the President Lincoln and The President MCKinley so i go straight to the President Washington! The President Washington puts out 80 watts on SSB as the George puts out a lot less more. NLK Media I hope you get to make a video of the Washington soon! 73's!
We are all waiting for it to finally arrive. It looks like its a HAM version of the George 2 setup for 10 and 12 meter bands with some impressive power outputs. The George 2 is a lovely radio, one of the best, so am very excited for the release of the Washington. I can see them at the supplier but only marked as "comming soon" which can mean anything with Presidents track record. Hopefully they will become available soon. 73's MJ7NLK
The most important feature of the george 2 you never spoke about is the NRC for RX and TX. This makes a new experience in Receiving, you can hear small stations in the air you never heared before. The NRC can filter bad background noise nearly to zero to hear a station which you lost before in the QRM. On the TX side the NRC can help if you have background noise during your transmission in a car or at home the NRC block this unwanted noises. You can adjust the NRC in 5 Levels on both side RX and TX. Try it out and you will be impressed believe me! And with some SMD change you get 50 Watts :-) and the radio never get to hot.
Hi, thank you, much appreciate the feedback. I am still playing with the George 2 but have not come across an option to be able to manually select frequencies outside of the band blocks. Happy new year to you and all the best for 2024.
Hi John, thank you for the info, I was wondering on this one, just seemed strange to have a nice Christmas gift in the box and without branding I wasnt sure where it came from. It must have been from Doug so will send him an email and thank him :-). Happy new year and all the very best for 2024.

Great video, you have now given me a dilemma on what to buy now, I was about to order the CRT SS 7900v Turbo from Knights but I like the sound of the George, have you done a review on the CRT SS 7900v Turbo?
They both have basically the same board so expect the same performance. I have both, and the CRT7900V is a better radio and is £100 cheaper. It has more power, and is PC programmable. The George 2 wins on 'looks' only.
Hi Delboy, it would have been a nice addition to have had a data socket on the George 2. I havent opened my 7900V yet to check the board but nice to know they are the same. Happy new year to you and all the best for 2024.
Hi, I have a SS7900V which was purchased in 2022 I think, so not sure if its the Turbo model. I need to do some CRT reviews so stay tuned. Happy new year and thanks for watching. All the best
@@NLKMediaGroup nice one, I thing the Turbo was only on the 2023 model, as far as I'm aware the only main difference in them is the Turbo has the 5k step, but I could be wrong, Happy New Year 🎊
Hi Rob, the Richard is a great radio but it does not have single side band. I am not a fan of loads of multi function buttons and much prefer the dials and knobs with dedicated functionality. I have more than 30 radios and it makes it very difficult when switching between them to remember all the different options and key combinations. They did a good job on the George 2 with the face plate and it is quite easy to work out where the options are but a few more dedicated dials would have been nice. This is where the Lincoln 2+ comes into play. My goto radio is the Richard but the Lincoln 2+ does offer more than both the Richard and the George 2. If you have a HAM license and want SSB then Lincoln but if only for CB then the George 2 is the better option vs the McKinley. Happy new year to you and all the very best for 2024
Yes, the Lincoln 2+ is a 10 meter HAM radio and is much easier to expand to cover 11 meter (but not legal to operate on 11 meters). The George 2 is 11 meter out the box and the expansion is a little more difficult. I will be doing a video on the Lincoln 2+ soon. It is a beast of a radio. All the best and thanks for watching. MJ7NLK
Thanks for the great video, it is always nice to see what other folks think of the new products 🙂 L&P sounds like a day out at a radio rally 🤣 all the Best and Happy New Year Dave M0OGY
Here's a mod you could try, why not fit a little switch on the rear wired to the jumper and link to change it from standard to modified, and vice-versa. Just a thought.
I have seen someone in Germany offering a mod for the George 2 which adds a board and switches between modes by pushing the PTT button. You can check it out here www.hamradio-shop.de/Modifikationen/president/george-switch-mode.html Interesting idea and much better than drilling holes to add a manual switch. Food for thought. Happy new year to you and all the best for 2024 and thanks for watching

Great video . Im in the US and I’m thinking about getting a UK version . Is this version a dual final radio ? I know the US model has a slot for another final but not sure if anyone has yet to be able to fill it or expand the frequency
I believe the US model is not expandable but don't have one to be able to confirm it. I am also told that the CRT 6700V .7 version shares the same PCB as the George 2 so might be worth seeing whats available for that model. I have just ordered one to take a look and see. Not sure if you can get CRT radios in the states. All the best and thanks for watching MJ7NLK
@@NLKMediaGroup I appreciate the info I will look into that . I have a couple nice HF Rigs for 10 and 11 meter SSB , but just once , I’d like to own a non-drifting sideband cb . I do have a new Truckerized Anytone-6666 that is rock solid , also the 955’s are as well but I don’t own one . I also have some older Grants and 148’s that are good , but I want a new style CB that’s actually stable on sideband. Until you’ve been down the rabbit hole financially trying to achieve that , you don’t understand the frustration . I’ve spent 1500 bucks , probably more over the last few years , buying modified and clean tuned export and other new type cb radios that turned out to be great on AM , and very disappointing on SSB . That’s why I finally just bought a few low mileage HF Rigs from some Ham guys when I came across a good deal , with the Mars mod already done . It wasn’t cheap , and the only regret I have is I didn’t do it sooner and the money I wasted on the others . Lesson learned . There’s my rant for the day , again , thanks for the info
Yes we are doing a full review on the Washington. it's been on the shelf for two months but the additional cooling fans are in short supply. I am now being told that they are due in to the supplier sometime in Sept. We need two of the fans to fully test the new APM feature. it's been very frustrating having the radio and not the fans. Will start the review as soon as the postman delivers the darn things :-) Thanks for watching, all the best MJ7NLK
The Roger beep is one of the most annoying non-features of any radio. I guess it is added so that the ones who use it can perpetuate the bad taste CBers leave for the rest of the entire radio community. Make an impression and use your roger beep. I’ve known a couple of Hams who used it, but it didn’t take long to change that. Great video and explanation. I enjoyed it.
It's a running joke on the channel. I am a ham and everyone in that world hates roger beeps so I almost always set the roger beep (tonge in cheek) and say its an essential feature (irony) and always needs setting. I never use a roger beep in real operation and yes they are very annoying :-) Glad you enjoyed the video, thanks for commenting and for watching. All the very best 73 MJ7NLK
Roger beep is ok for cb. On a noisy frequency you can at least tell when someone has unkeyed. The most annoying and useless and should be illegal are the echos, sound effects and nonsense that made me give up cb!
The weirdest thing about the George II is that unlike the McKinley, you can't go into the menu and choose how the Clarifier works (rx only, tx only, or rx/tx tied together).
The McKinley was the last of the real radios with plenty of trim pots and manual adjustment inside. They are all SOC and software based radios now. All the best and thanks for watching. MJ7NLK
I'm not able to access the service menue with Ninja moves. The radio is not modified. Since I'm not able to see the software version, I'm wondering if they changed the access regime in a younger version.. BTW it is the EU Version NOT the FCC. Does anybody experience the same, or knows the solution?
I have not heard of anyone not being able to access the factory services menu. What happens when you press F and TB at the same time while also pressing and holding the push to talk button on the microphone (all three held down) and you turn the radio on while they are all being depressed? Do you see the while screen that says Test? If you do, then you have a very limited amount of time to release the buttons you were pressing and then press NRC button and release, then press Echo button and release and then press Vox button and release. (three button presses, one after the another, your not pressing and holding). My radio is Version 1.0 which is the original release so can't imagine that yours will be an earlier version than 1.0.
@@NLKMediaGroup Thank you for your reply. In the meantime I found the problem. The F button is having some contacting issues I'd guess. I need to depress it firmly over the clicking point. That sometimes helps. I'll send the unit in to get it replaced or fixed.
Good question. The George 2 is the EU model and the George FCC is the USA model. The George 2 is expandable and can be set to cover all of the EU norms and also can be set to export mode by modifying which increases power and frequency ranges. The FCC model is fixed to US frequencies (which match CEPT frequencies) and has had the option to expand the radio to export mode removed (to the best of my knowledge). The FCC model has US weather alerts built in and the EU model does not have this feature as its not available in EU. I do not have access to the FCC model to be able to test and compare but these are the main differences I am aware of. Hope this helps and thanks for watching and commenting. All the best MJ7NLK
Well my President Lincoln 2+ version 2 is everything the George is and has. Everything you mentioned that the George 2 has to offered my Stinkin Lincoln 2+ has. #12 Watkins Glen NY. Brokin open Bottle.
The L2+ is a lovely radio, I have one in my collection, its a HAM radio vs the George 2 which is type approved for CB. The only real differences are the G2 has noise reduction but the L2+ has the advantage of being PC programmable. I say get both :-) All the best and thanks for watching. 73 MJ7NLK
I am also told that the CRT SS 6900V .7 version is basically the same radio and much cheaper. I ordered one and will check that out when time permits and see. Its rather confusing with the CRT radios as they just keep releasing the same radio, in the same box but a different revision. I have a .6 version of the 6900V and when the .7 version arrived it looks identical in every way. All the best and thanks for watching MJ7NLK
Hello, very interesting video. Very informative. But how is the device switched from CB mode into export mode after modification? This will not be explained in the video. Thank you and greetings from Germany
Hello, sorry for the delay in responding, I am a bit behind on comments. Once you expand the radio the traditional CB layout is changed into band blocks. Starting at Band Block A, then B, then C, etc. Each block has 40 channels (well 45 if you include alpha channels) and you navigate through them in the same way. Switching to band block A will start at channel 1 26.965MHz and run through to Channel 40 at 27.407MHz. Switching to band block B will then start at channel 1 27.415MHz and run through to Channel 40 at 27.855MHz, etc. Band blocks A, C, E, G, K and L are inferior and band blocks B, D, F, H, I and J are superior. Total expanded frequency range is between 24.715 MHz and 30.105MHz. Band blocks don't run in numerical frequency order. Inferior starts highest A = 26.965 to 27.407 and L = 24.715 to 25.155 and the superior is B = 27.415 to 27.855 and J = 29.665 to 30.105. It can be confusing but when viewed in a frequency piramid it kind of makes sense. I hope this helps explain things and thank you for watching and for commenting. All the best MJ7NLK
@@buggsy5 turn the dial till it changes, if 'SPAN' is set to on in the menu then you can push the channel selector and change the amount digit on the freq display and move 1 khz at a time if you want or 1 mhz at a time. The band will change itself as you pass through each frequency range.
@@d.8362 I assume the transmit frequencies are stepped, rather than variable. That would be somewhat expected, since tuning through the blocks in sequence apparently jumps around in the band.

I just got my new second President George II shipped from the EU to the US & I think it's much better but the UK 40 channels not used here & hear SSB on it. My other President George F.C.C. can not be expanded so it's just the EU 40 channel mode which is the same as US & Canada. You need to add a second final to make the radio 30+ watts otherwise it not go that high. Only other mod I would like to do on both radios is unlock the clarifier so I can slide more easily talk like 3 kHz off center as many do here on SSB. Downfall is the President George F.C.C. is made in China (to be expected) & the President George II is made in France or Belgium which was interesting.
Wrong mate. The original concept for both radios was engineered by President in France. Because it is much cheaper to outsource production this is why you see both versions being assembled and produced in China by Qixiang. Both are designed to be CB radios so having a one kilohertz step size is not needed for CB radio use. Cheers
If it helps, my George 2 (EU Model) says "Made in PRC" on the sticker on the heat sink. I have not had any problems with my unit, its worked flawlessly. My radio came from the third batch after launch and I know they were in very short supply at the start. Its possible that President had to manufacture them in different locations but most of my newer President radios are made in PRC. Hey Edward, SWR is how much of the signal being pushed out the antenna is being reflected back to the radio. in order to test you should not have anything obstructing the antenna, like standing next to it. most of the time high SWR is down to kinked coax, damaged coax, poorly fitted 259 connectors or something close to antenna reflecting signal back. I have also seen issues with magnets affecting testing if you have one close. please check all of these things and let me know how you get on. all the best MJ7NLK
Need to find some test equipment that works well with SSB RF power measurements. Might be a good excuse to upgrade the old bird to a new bird 43p. :-) Happy new year to you and all the best for 2024
@@NLKMediaGroup SSB power measurements are not very accurate. Keying without modulation produces no carrier, and the PEP depends on the level of modulation. As far as I know, Hams still use the two-tune test and an oscilloscope to avoid overmodulation.
If it came to the george 2 and the richard? Need me a new radio, local shop says they can sell a richard that does about 70 watts for 300 usd, granted the george is 75 more usd, can it do the power the richard is capable of?
The Richard is a great radio but it lacks single side band. The George 2 is the better radio as all bases are covered. It just depends on what you want from the radio feature wise. They are both great but having SSB will make the radio you choose more future proof. All the best and thanks for watching
I just got mine, the volume from the internal speaker is VERY low, i must put my ear right next to the speaker to hear. Faulty one i guess :( edit: also when using external speaker the volume is low, and PA-speaker not sounding as it should
I am sure you have tried everything on the radio and it does sound like there is a fault. However, turning off Talk back and VOX and then go into the menu (long press PUSH key) and look for VOL ACC and see if that maybe is turned down. Failing this perform a Reset in the menu and if its still not working then unfortunately there must be a fault on your unit. I hope this helps and do let me know how you get on with this. Hi, yes you can adjust as follows: - Press and hold the PTT switch - Press the RF GAIN/MIC GAIN key. “MIC GAIN” is displayed. - Turn the rotary CH knob to adjust the level 01 to 10 or using the bargraph Hope this helps and thanks for watching
Instead of "DCS" there is "DSC" (mis)printed on the front panel. And in the display "MHz" is written "Mhz". After all those years President and their OEM manufacturer should know better!
You have a good eye, I didn't spot that myself. Its strange, because all of the promotional images of the radio have DCS but my radio has DSC and so does the image in the user manual, not sure how that could have happened. You can excuse Mhz on the LCD as sometimes you are restricted on what you can display in certain places but the DSC item is most certainly a quality control issue. In the user manual, item 6 says Memory ~ CTCSS/DCS ~ M2, so its right in some places but not others. The USA manual has it correct on the image so it seems to just be the EU model. Thanks for pointing this out. All the best MJ7NLK
There is much simpler solution: just cut the white wire in the middle and add a 25 Ohm resistor or four 100 Ohm resistor parallel without changing the jumper position 😁.
It doesn't need to be modded, it is for anyone who wants to use CB radio. The modification expands the radio so it can pickup and transmit on other frequencies outisde of the CB band. It also increases the power output on the radio but this can be controlled using the RF Power settings. The legal limit for CB is 4W which is what the radio is set to out of the box. The George 2 is a very capable CB radio and one of the best on the market today. The Radioddity CB-500 and the Walker 2 are worth a look if you don't need SSB. If you just starting out then maybe the CB-500 would be a good place to start, its fun and easy to use and has lots of great features and is significantly cheaper than the George 2.
@@NLKMediaGroup I think more so in Europe than in the USA. Back in its heyday, when there were only 23 channels, it seemed like just about ever other vehicle you saw sported a CB antenna of some sort. These days, I never see any antennas.
The new President Washington is now available. Its effectively a George 2 but 10/12 meters out of the box. It looks the same as the George 2 but does have one big change. It doesn't have the same heatsink on the back, instead it has two holes for cooling fans (sold separately). On the box it says 80W :-) I have the Washington on the shelf for review but haven't received the two cooling fans yet. Thanks for watching and for commenting. All the best MJ7NLK
4W is the legal max in most areas for type approved CB radios. The Ranger units that ship with 200+ watts are 10 meter band radios for HAM frequencies. You can still have lots of fun working a CB with a well tuned antenna if you don't have a HAM license. The UK regulator (OFFCOM) have just revised the HAM license power limits and increased the foundation license from 10W to 25W, Intermediate up to 100W and Full up to 1000W. It does seem crazy when GMRS radios in the US can go to 50W without having to take an exam. Thanks for commenting and for watching. 73 MJ7NLK
@@NLKMediaGroup The GMRS is UHF and very much line-of-sight and require an inexpensive license. 50 watts is only allowed on about half the channels and only for fixed operation.
Good point but I guess that depends on your own circumstances. If you have a ham radio license then you would be putting it at risk if you got caught. I do not know how active Offcom are with enforcement. The FCC are so strict on approved units in the USA and insist on the export mods being removed. However, the US breakers just run massive amplifiers. All the best and thanks for watching MJ7NLK

Welcome back, long time no see!
Thank you :-)
Just a heads up for those of US in the USA. The fcc version of this radio is expandable for now. President left out the middle final transistor and the the white jumper wire that is in the UK/European version. Along with an extra board that is added for the US weather radio weather band receive only.
NOT expandable at the moment
That is good FCC junk expands not so for other models .
Is FCC models 20 watts on
SSB at least being its
mising a final ?
With all the other radios falxys and such we should be way past these FCC models all should be expandable via a jumper plug
What it the freq range of the George USA
I can take some close up shots of the board if you have a George FCC and want to compare versions. Happy new year and all the best for 2024
Currently there are many of simple and primitive reviews from the George 2. This video is professional from the camera work to the explanations. Very good, NLK Media. I hope there will be another practical test.
Thank you, very much appreciated. Happy new year to you and all the very best for 2024.
And also the humour in it as well. LOL😂

Great review....how come you didnt do a power test on SSB.....only asking as i have had the mod done and i get 35w FM but only 25w ssb peak......
AM must be on max 15-20W then you have full Power on SSB

As a fully licensed radio amateur (Switzerland), I ordered this station to redo some QSOs in 27MHz because it seems of very good quality seeing the internal board, which changes TRX with technologies from the 80s that we still find on the market

Thank you Scanflight for your feedback which is greatly appreciated. I hope your enjoying the George 2, it really is a lovely radio. The noise reduction circult works really well and makes the George 2 a pleasure to use. Which has better receive. Lincoln 2 or the President George ? The President George FCC version is becoming a hit here in the U.S.A
They are both excellent but the George 2 has the new NRC feature which can be adjusted independently on TX and RX and is brilliant. So, on balance the George 2 would be better.
I will give the new NRC feature a whirl, thanks for providing the info, very helpful. Happy new year and all the best for 2024
Thanks a lot for the video, I was looking forward to it.
If the radio is in expanded mode, is it possible to select frequencies instead of channels?

I thought the Mod could be done just by snipping the white wire and moving the jumper?
On this radio you need to move the white wire instead of cutting it.

@@NLKMediaGroup nice one, I thing the Turbo was only on the 2023 model, as far as I'm aware the only main difference in them is the Turbo has the 5k step, but I could be wrong, Happy New Year 🎊
So is the Richard still your favorite. Once again great video
Happy new year to you and all the very best for 2024
@@NLKMediaGroup Once again thank you for your advice and how clear and in layman terms you explain these radios. God bless and Happy New Year
On my Lincoln II all I had to do was cut that white wire. So much easier not having to move jumpers and solder anything.
Here's a mod you could try, why not fit a little switch on the rear wired to the jumper and link to change it from standard to modified, and vice-versa. Just a thought.
use a magnetic reed switch. no holes and use a magnet to switch to standard or modified
I appreciate the info
I will look into that . I have a couple nice HF Rigs for 10 and 11 meter SSB , but just once , I’d like to own a non-drifting sideband cb . I do have a new Truckerized
Anytone-6666 that is rock solid , also the 955’s are as well but I don’t own one .
Hi, one question. Are you making another video of the new President Washington? It's my new favorite for Ham radio and CB. Thank you.
Nothing wrong with a short RB.. Nasa use them..
The Roger beef does not bother me at all. What bothers me the most is people who use echo and a lot of it!!
Roger beep is ok for cb. On a noisy frequency you can at least tell when someone has unkeyed. The most annoying and useless and should be illegal are the echos, sound effects and nonsense that made me give up cb!
Another example of the attitudes that keep CBers from wanting to be associated with amateur radio dorks.
Great review, thanks a lot!
Your most welcome, glad you found it helpful. All the best and thanks for watching. MJ7NLK
What is the difference between this George 2 and the George fcc

So basically it's a uniden 980 on crack. Nice I want one.
@@NLKMediaGroup How do you switch between band blocks?

Cheers

Hey Edward, SWR is how much of the signal being pushed out the antenna is being reflected back to the radio. in order to test you should not have anything obstructing the antenna, like standing next to it. most of the time high SWR is down to kinked coax, damaged coax, poorly fitted 259 connectors or something close to antenna reflecting signal back. I have also seen issues with magnets affecting testing if you have one close. please check all of these things and let me know how you get on. all the best MJ7NLK

@@NLKMediaGroup SSB power measurements are not very accurate. Keying without modulation produces no carrier, and the PEP depends on the level of modulation. As far as I know, Hams still use the two-tune test and an oscilloscope to avoid overmodulation.

All the best and thanks for watching MJ7NLK
@@NLKMediaGroup Thanks for reply, i tried those steps and still no help. I am going to send this unit back to vendor soon. Greetings from Finland!
Uaaaaaaaaauuuu😲🤓🤓🤓🤓😲
where did you get your world map on bench
Hi Edward, you can buy them here: amzn.to/3XEXJ1l at Amazon. All the best and thanks for watching. MJ7NLK
Can you tell me how to up the mike gain
Hi, yes you can adjust as follows:
- Press and hold the PTT switch
- Press the RF GAIN/MIC GAIN key. “MIC GAIN” is displayed.
- Turn the rotary CH knob to adjust the level 01 to 10 or using the bargraph
Hope this helps and thanks for watching
Did what had to how come cb radio don't have remote heads for better in cars.
You could always side mount to console if dash mounting is a problem. Maybe consider the Midland 88 but it doesnt have SSB. Thanks for watching MJ7NLK
I’m a rookie is this cb for truck drivers or does it need to be modded
👋🍺🍺
CB is still a thing?
Very much so, depends on where you as to how busy the airwaves are but its still going strong, especially on SSB. All the best and thanks for watching
@@NLKMediaGroup I think more so in Europe than in the USA. Back in its heyday, when there were only 23 channels, it seemed like just about ever other vehicle you saw sported a CB antenna of some sort. These days, I never see any antennas.
Very nice … & …Very poosh 🎉 one day ❤ 73
The new President Washington is now available.
8:46 😂🤣😂😂😂😂 TOO Funny! 9:31
Thank you, all the best and thanks for watching. MJ7NLK
The girl comes with the radio??? Or must purchase separatly??? Jajajjaja
An optional extra :-) ha ha, Happy new year Ricardo, all the best for 2024
Who the hell wants 4 W radios anymore, when you've got a lot of the bigger companies expanding to hundreds of Watts like Ranger??
Not available in UK or Europe GMRS uhf.
So umm. . . Does anybody anywhere actually care what the “legal” options are? Breaking the lawr breaking the lawr😅
Who cares!
The last president I bought was the Grant 2.. Total junk with poor quality control, cheap components and horrible encoders... The first Lincoln 2s weren't much better.. As for the George 2.. I certainly wouldn't be spending £330 to find out its something similar..
The latest CRT SS6900V is worth a look, much better priced and has NRC and SSB. I have been using the George 2 for a while and its been amazing although rather expensive compared to the CRT. All the best and thanks for watching. MJ7NLK
Use a heat gun remove the stickers nobody will know Shhh ✌🏻
I have had some success with that before but sometime even that doesn't help. All the best and thanks for watching. MJ7NLK
MJ7NLK
CH6: Q104 bias current. TX IQ1 displayed. With all short circuit caps removed. With an external 10 V power supply, connected on the test point T105 with the positive cable through a resistance of 8Ω in series. Rotate the channel switch to set the static current to 100 mA (read on the power supply's ampere meter) in TX mode.
CH7: Q101 + Q102 bias current. TX IQ2 displayed. With all short circuit caps removed. With an external 10 V power supply, connected on the test point T100 with the positive cable through a resistance of 8Ω in series. Rotate the channel switch to set the static current to 100 mA (read on the power supply's ampere meter) in TX mode.
Get a license
I am a licensed HAM but you don't need a license for CB frequencies. I have a video on the channel about obtaining a HAM license if your interested. Thanks for watching and for commenting. All the best MJ7NLK.
Should’ve named it the President Trump….
Would have to paint the case orange :-) All the best and thanks for watching. MJ7NLK
Very nice looking unit nice features and that display will sell boatloads, 26TG064, M7CVK. HNY
Its a lovely radio and will be very popular, lets hope President can keep up with the demand. All the best and thanks for watching MJ7NLK
