I find myself always anticipating a new viewpoint from a skilled Remembrancer & Orator, both to experience anew the myths & legends I know, and to hear the events from a fresh perspective. There are a million, million worlds in the Imperium, & no one but the God-Emperor can encompass the depths of history or breadth of civilization in the 42nd Millennium, but we must always endeavour to collate & catalogue events & participants, as to fail to learn & understand could be the fulcrum to which returns us unto the depravity of Old-Night and the Dark Age of Technology...
This why I love The Vlka Fenryka, they are flawed and their ascension to Astartes used to be seen as them being better than standard humanity to the point of hubris during the great crusade, and that point of view was shattered during the Heresy; now during the 42nd mellenium, specially during the era Indomitus, it has changed to them viewing it as an oath to uphold that gift and ascension as champions and bulwarks if humanity. No longer are they the barbarian executioners of yore, but as heroes, one every single one of them.

The Ragnar series was the very first 40k novel I read for that exact reason haha. I still recommend it to people as a good starting point, since the reader learns the 40k universe alongside Ragnar as he ascends from ignorant tribesman to Astartes
Brutal. Narration went straight to the point, just like the wolves. I wish you had made a pint of their lust for life at the edge of death, but still a fantastic video. Loved it.
7:23 this is the most badass armor of all time!!! Lets pray to the all-father that space marine 2 gets a space wolves champion dlc after the dark angels💪🏼🐺
I am convinced that Space Wolves and Raven Guard working together could win any battle, take any territory, capture any relic, and thoroughly thrash any chaos force. The two compliment each other perfectly.
My top 5 loyalist legions are ranked as such: 1. Dark Angels(their paranoia intrigues me) 2. Salamanders(Love their compassion) 3. Black Templars( Engrossed in their zealotry and loved Grimaldus and the story of Hellsreach) 4. Space Wolves(Space Vikings are always cool) 5. Ravenguard( I love the stealth)
The Space Wolves during the time of the Great Crusade created a lot of unnecessary tension between some of the more loyalists legions considering their stubborn and prideful behavior like their rivalry against the Dark Angels and the White Scars, and there is also the hypocrisy when it comes to psykers considering their Rune Priests are Psykers no matter how they addressed them as.
The bad blood with other loyalist legions/chapters is not accurate, aside from the Dark Angels. (They actually got along well with the Fists, Ultra, Scars, RavenGuard, Blood Angel's and Hands.) and To be fair, the issue with the Lion was that the Lion gave his word he wouldn't execute the leader of the world they were invading, then went back on his word and executed the leader himself. So don't put that one on the Wolves, not to mention the Lion slung insults at Leman every chance he got. As far as the attitude ,even the Lion mentioned in the newest book (son of the forest) that if the Emperor wanted an enemy erased without a trace, they would send the first, and if he wanted to send a message that everyone would see, he'd send the sixth so they have their purpose. The imperial Fists: Don't really ever speak ill of the Wolves. Both Dorn and Leman have admitted they admired each other. Jaghatai and Leman had very similar cultures and seemed to get along fine. Sanguinius was everyone's favorite brother, including Leman I think. Corax has gone out of his way to help Leman many times and the Wolves see this as an eternal blood debt. Hands hate everyone lol but after 54+ books I haven't seen the Wolves talk bad about them. Ultramarines get on well with them too, Guiliman values them too. Honestly if you want the gist of it read the deathwatch novels, they talk crap but most of the legions then and the chapters now work well with the Wolves. They get a lot of flak for no reason.
Cry more, princess. There is no rivalry against the White Scars, the Thousand Sons deserved every bit of animosity they brought upon themselves, and the feud with the Dark Angels is a respectful rivalry.
For the All father! and Leman Russ! for all mankind! the Vlka Fenryka Will be there to protect Humanity from the Evils of the Galaxy!! For the Rout! for LEMAN RUSS AND THE ALLFATHER!!!
You should do a segment on the Wolf Blades. I think that might be the background for the Space Wolf that appears in the upcoming game, Rogue Trader. It would be interesting I've never heard of that group before this.
I'm always amazed by the never-ending stream of artwork that goes with these videos. And I know for a fact that this is just a taste of the Imperial Space Wolf Art Gallery. Crazy. Great job, sir.
This story is one of top favorites, i love how well the narrations were done, the voice acting is excellent to me. This video makes me want to build a fire, have tall cold beer (or several in true wolves fashion) and sit with my kids and just listen. Makes me feel a peace. Btw my kids actually love listening too.
So, the Deathwolf company could tame other xenofauna on Fenris couldn't they? Imagine having ice-bear riders siege breakers! I've also seen Fenris have large felines and drakes, man this chapter could have some really awesome mounts!
Anti-authoritarian, alcoholic, werewolf Vikings... in space! Sure, they're loud, obnoxious and smell funny, BUT they will always got your back when sh*t hits the fan and they know how to throw a party. 🐺 Hell, even Bobby G counts them among his ''Dountless Few''! *Fenrys hjølda!* ("Fenris endures!")
As a guardsmen would you rather have a rowdy blood claw laughing and telling stories with you on the front lines against seemingly impossible odds. Or a dark and sullen Dark Angel who never says a word?
@@lanceturner5119 Blood Claw. Any day. The First being there at all would convince me this was a suicide mission. They're never called for anything less.
@randomcenturion7264 that blood claw would sew you a tale of wonders from his days of hunting orcas on the high seas of Fenris to his days in the training camp of Voxburgh among the cliffs and crags of Asaheim while laying down suppressing fire with his bolter. His songs from his kinsmen rich and flowing from his lips as he basked in the glory of a worthy end. And everyone near enough to hear, would be glad of the company in such dire times. His saga would be told for ages to come, and you and your men would be counted among the heroes who stood against an evil that threatened humanity. You would never grow old and die, for the brave will live forever in the halls of RUSS!
It is my belief that Leman is the next of the loyalists to return. Due to the space wolves being a proper subfaction of the space marines(And Sanguinius being very dead) he's the most likely choice from both a game point of view and lore point of view. I believe both G man and the lion both missed him for both his more joyvial nature and ferocious prowess as well. So with him being the next it would make sense. That being said Khan seems like a good choice, I believe all the scars and successors are in one place right now. And Corax would be an interesting one, but I'd assume he'd return once Lorgar makes his big entrance. Vulkan they'd have to have the salamnders fast track the discoveries of the relics they need to find, I believe they have three and may have just found the fourth. And Dorn.... well apparently he's dead, his knuckles are in amber and carved into by the chapter masters, and Ferrus is pretty much famously dead as the first primarch to die and he lost his head and was the pivital moment in Fulgrim fall.
... Should the Black Templars go to war vs the Inquisition, then the Sons of Leman Russ would assist their Battle Brothers. I envision a considerable blood bath in the not too distant future.
We are the hate of old time. We are the wolves that stalks between the stars. We are the murder make and the one's to make you sleep on red snow. There are no wolves on Fenris . Until next winter.
Correction here. The JLTV launcher can hold 1 tomahawk or a 2 NSM. If we use the LVSR model, then yes you could do 2-4 tomahawk/NSM but the mobility is less and shipping it takes more effort
This account of the Wolves of Fenris is both a great Saga and Falsehood of the true history of the Rout, and truly worthy of this Remembrancer's attentions!

Great video and well told :) That said there is 1 issue, where did you read that Russ reveled with the order to Censor magnus? All the novels i read was he was sullen and brooding after getting the order and more so after he carried it out. All the evidence shows he loved magnus, he could of gotten a kill order if he told the Emperor of the flesh change but he did not. He even gave magnus a chance to explain himself and come peacefully to terra a boon he "would give no other". He Even nikea as "mending the bond between them" since it would prevent the flesh change and thus keep the Tsons save from Censor.
The Fenrisian people are a hard, rugged, and honest people. Living life to the fullest the best they can. Praising the Emperor and hailing the Sky Warriors for being what they are. Staunch defenders of the people, both of Fenris And the Emperium. The Space Wolves have always and will forever serve the Emperor of Mankind. True they have a savage reputation, one well earned I might add. But it is also a gift they are given, the chance to fly the sea of stars and make a name for themselves. Drinking and feasting with their kinsmen in the great halls either in Asaheim or aboard their ships floating in the void. They wholly and truly love what they do, it brings joy to them to fight alongside their battle brothers. And truthfully their changing over time has made them even better than they were before. True the Curse of the Wulfen has not yet been mastered. However, after the Indomitus crusade with their gene-seed now being stable enough to recruit from other worlds it will be even better to see how they grow further with these new Primaris Space Marines.
Here’s a drinking game, every time the word “Wolf” is spoken take a drink. I’m pretty sure actual space marines are the only ones that’d survive that. Fantastic video, though!
One thing I would disagree with is that russ revelled in taking down the thousand sons, it's absolute cannon he thought he was begging magnus to surrender to come back to terra through Kasper Hauser :)
As much as I admire the Space Wolves I have to say that the bigotry and hypocrisy the 30k Space Wolves displayed to the Thousand Sons was outstanding. They showed great disdain for them for being a highly psyker legion, despite the fact that they also utilized psykers, aka rune priests, in their ranks regardless of what they like to call them, and also despised them for suffering from the flesh change when they themselves are at risk from transforming into a Space werewolf at any time. Hypocrisy!
Hey Mr. Remembrancer, I have a question for you regarding your reference to the Imperial Guard/Astra Militarum. How come people these days don’t use each name interchangeably? Space Marines/Adeptus Astartes is used in common duality, yet I almost *never* hear Imperial Guard used anymore, only Astra Militarum. Could you elucidate on this? I only bring it up here because you’re the most recent in a long list of 40k creators to do so, in your reference to Macharius in this video.
"The Emperor needed a weapon that would never obey its own desires before those of the Imperium. He needed a weapon that would never bite the hand that feeds. The World Eaters were not that weapon. We've all drawn blades purely for the sake of shedding blood, and we've all felt the exultation of winning a war that never even needed to happen. We are not the tame, reliable pets that the Emperor wanted. The Wolves obey, when we would not. The Wolves can be trusted, when we never could. They have a discipline we lack, because their passions are not aflame with the Butcher's Nails buzzing in the back of their skulls. The Wolves will always come to heel when called. In that regard, it is a mystery why they name themselves wolves. They are tame, collared by the Emperor, obeying his every whim. But a wolf doesn't behave that way. Only a dog does. That is why we are the Eaters of Worlds, and the War Hounds no longer." - Eighth Captain Khârn of the World Eaters Legion, from his unpublished treatise The Eighteen Legions
Kharn's speech here reinforces what we already knew. The Wolves are the yardstick against which badass is measured, and even the World Eaters envy them.
The Vlka Fenryka (space wolves to the ignorant), the Blood angels and Salamanders are my 3 fravourite chapters. They have more humanity than any other chapters and will kill anyone who threatens the innoscent and will die to defend them, even the inquisition itself.
Where is the what I call videos instead of just talking about the warriors???? I watched a couple videos but can’t find another one just talking about the warriors. I’m just wondering.

Here while waiting for the servers on space marine 2 .... FOR THE RUSS!!!!
34:40 What's Ewan McGregor doing in the 40k universe?
I wonder how many times "wolf" is said.
AAAAAAY HE PRONOUNCED BJÖRN RIGHT!!!!!!
FIRST UA-camR IVE EVER SEEN DO THAT!!
Hypocrisy!
Russ smells a Thousand Sons player :)
"Bigotry". The speech of those with soft hands.
For the Bloodmaws, Russ and the All-Father!!! SKOLL
We broke no quarter.
We show No Mercy.
I beg you not to drink a shot for everytime wolf comes up

Well done
"Wolf wolfwolf wolf, wolf wolf wolfwolfwolf!" is a gramatically correct sentence in the native fenrisian tongue, the wolfwolf tongue ;)
Imperial Guard is the Low Gothic colloquial term to the official title of Astra Militarum. Possibly the Commissars enforcing the rules? 👀
@@TheRemembrancer Ah, that would certainly explain it!
Space Corgis
Please do an episode on Mareus Calgar
I’ll only say this for meme and lore purposes……….”they’re no wolves on Fenris”
That is why we are the Eaters of Worlds, and the War Hounds no longer."
- Eighth Captain Khârn of the World Eaters Legion, from his unpublished treatise The Eighteen Legions
Ultra marines defend civilians too

VLKA FENRYKA!

Ultramarine last but not least
If you need the video summarized: Wolf
"Lion for life. Dog f**ker"
Where is the what I call videos instead of just talking about the warriors???? I watched a couple videos but can’t find another one just talking about the warriors. I’m just wondering.
All I got from this is "WOOF WOOF WOOF WOOF WOOF WOOF WOOF WOOF"
Thanks for the perfect videos. But for this video: as far as I know SW killed a grand master of GK, not the supreme GM.
Am I wrong people?
@@GokhanSaglam82and the high inquisitior lord
No mate
@@GokhanSaglam82 Have you not read the Months of Shame or the Emperors gift? Like how Logan Grimnar killed Inquisitor Lord Kysnaros above Fenris aboard the Corel's Hope, as well as Joros, (the GM of the 8th Brotherhood)
Mate in video he said "supreme grand master" which is different than a grand master and a high lord inq. is different then a inq. lord. But your last msg you wrote right so thx :)
Vlka Fenryka !!!
Why’re they called the route?
FOR RUSS AND THE ALLFATHER!
