I reviewed all of Snugpak's sleeping bags for Survival & Outdoor Techniques magazine (and some for Climber & Hillwalker) in the early to mid 1990's. They're a very reliable company, with great British-made products. I've had the SJ6 5 years or more, it's been worn a lot, and is still like new. I purchased the SJ12 this week, and am very impressed.
How cool is that! I used to read that magazine, it used to be called Survival weaponry and techniques if I recall but they changed the name after a shooting. (I think it was the Hungerford Massacre). Still have a few copies in the loft somewhere I think.
Got the 12, but it's way too long. If the 9 is basically identical apart from length I'll get the 9. It's a real solid jack and I'm very keen as it seems like it will last for a long while
Can not make my mind up between sj9 or 12 i will mainly be using it for fishing and shooting and i would be mainly be static for 2 or 3 h in the evening when its cold 🥶 not moving about tryed the bufflo jacket not warm when standing or sitting still for 2 or 3 h
I work outside where I'm sitting down for long periods of time. The only way I have found to keep warm when static is to have an outer jacket under another outer jacket. All these mid layers and outer jackets are not ideal for static circumstances in my experience. Sj9 is my perfect wet weather MIDLAYER.
hi. How do you compare the size to sasquatch? Is sasquatch medium size a little larger than sj9 large size? You said sasquatch medium was a little big, too. You look right in sj9 large size. It seems to me that sasquatch medium size is a little bit larger than sj9 large size.
Hi, it's difficult to say. However, I'm usually a large as you can see in the video and that is the size I usually wear. I don't find these as large as the older Sasquatch and Ebony jacket.
Magic gear made in Yorkshire, I’ve allways been a RAB or mountain equipment wearer but it’s garbage now made in china , plus £700 too much money for a chinease coat , I got the SJ9 and it’s too warm for 80% of all activities , and £140 what’s not to like 👍

Hi William, that's very much your decision. They are both great jackets just with different insulation ratings.

What about the difference between SJ9 and Sasquatch ? Does the Sasquatch warmer ?
Hi Alexander, it's difficult to say. They are both very similar. Both temperature ratings on both jackets are very similar.

Hi. Yes, I feel that the size of the Sasquatch medium is a little bit larger than the SJ9 large. Hope this helps.
@@camouflagestoreuk thank you!

Are they scarpas just on your left shoulder there? Nice looking boots
No, we don't retail Scarpa. Those are Altberg.
