i love snugpak gear Ben. i live 25 miles from where they are made in keighley in the uk. they are made in an old textile mill situated beside the canal waterway. i also love your videos especialy the hikes you do on living survival2.
I saw this to research looking at British Army sofie jackets. I thought this might be a good alternative, but you saying it makes a good over jacket puts me off (believe it or not) as its more of just a warm jacket, not something extremely soft to the touch to go under things, so I can use them as sloopies in a cold house, or even pyjamas. So..... whats it most like? Army softies or a coat?
Thank god a USA review that's not full of himself, well done like the info and fact that you did it outside in winter conditions, thank you, also like the heads up on layering, well done again, will subscribe just from watching this video alone.
Living Survival okay on this review I recently purchased the SJ9 (one size up), it's used over my Sleka Elite jacket and guess what I've worn them both in temp of minus 20°c, not only where they comfortable but I had unrestricted movement, with the hood I wore a thinsulate knitted watch cap, not only was I warm, I felt insulated from the cold and the wind, it as solely due to this review I bought and am now well wrapped up for the changeable British weather.
Great video, I wish those overalls had front pocket. I work a lot outside and utilize that pocket for tools BUT will probably get anyway-they have great products.
I need a new ice fishing suit. looks like a good light setup. I hate those buckles on the bibs. some of my other gear is slick also I sew a button on them to keep them in place
Wish I would have waited a couple weeks to see this. I just dropped a benjamin on a coat and I think I'd like this one better. Cool review man, not enough clothing reviews out there in my opinion.
At least its not some puffy looking life preserver looking thing . I am a Walls and Carhartt kind of guy but I am thinking about the SJ9 . Zombie Dog lol
what the heck is that white stuff?? The blackswamp area just south of the border hasn't seen that stuff in a while. Was up at Brighton Rec area a couple weeks ago with some SE Mi preppers for a weekend outing. Nice place up there, hard to find at night though.
+Living Survival I see. I've seen some clips for Molle straps that you clip on and add a bungee feature to your pack, they maybe use to hold the extra strap pined to the strap being feed into the buckle, locking the strap onto itself.
What might work on your pants where the strap is slipping, try adding plastic loops, that way the strap wont pull out.........they work for me (strapworks.com) stocks them
awesome as alwaysno joke I really enjoy your channelit has to be my favorite on youtubehave a fan for lifeI'm just trying to get the girlfriend to like it as much as me lolall jokes aside I really do enjoy the channel .I know you're busy and put a lot of work into it but it seems you always have enough time to give a shout back which I really think is cool Thanks I'll keep watching
+WildMedGuru1 i have long arms so typically I have to size up. the first sj3 i got was very large on my since I got the XL. I switched to a large that fits perfect. The SJ9 i thought the same and got the Large but it wasn't large enough. So it seems to very by product link. With the SJ3 go smaller and the SJ9 go larger.

The two together look like a great combo.
+MI Timberwookie used them in northern Michigan for an overnighter this weekend. work great as a combo for sure.

+Rob Farrell thanks Rob.

how does the jacket fit? The UK size fits larger than the European one? in relation to your weight and height what size did you get?
Pretty sure mine was an XL
@@livingsurvival thanks!

have you tried the level 7 from us army ecwcs?if so...compared the level 7 with the sj9 which one is warmer ?
are both jackets the same size or did you have to go a size larger to fit the 9 over the 3???
Looks good , the snugpak factory is three miles from me in England
+Sthilboy56 very cool.
Great video, I wish those overalls had front pocket. I work a lot outside and utilize that pocket for tools BUT will probably get anyway-they have great products.
Sew some velcro strips on the bib straps.. You can buy pre-cut 3.5" male/female strips on amazon. 2 bucks for a set of 4
+Great lakes prepper that's a great idea, thanks.
Would you say it’s accurate sizing to what you normally are, or would you say to go up or down a size?
Does the jacket have a removable/ store away hood? Cheers mate

+yoopersurvival good tip, a button or velcro would work great. and yeah a great setup for ice fishing.

Cool review man, not enough clothing reviews out there in my opinion.
+Country Prepper thanks and I agree.

+SouthPaw Bushcraft thanks Dawn.
try threding the buckles (clips) the right way round....?
Hi. Dont the clips go the other way round? I can't really see on the video.
P,s. How compressible Is the SJ9?
Is that the one you stole from that zombie guy?
+jim McMillen yep :)
+Living Survival loving your zombie survival show :)
Love your review, very helpful. Any chance of reviewing SJ-12?
At least its not some puffy looking life preserver looking thing . I am a Walls and Carhartt kind of guy but I am thinking about the SJ9 . Zombie Dog lol

+hallard069 i'm very close to Brighton.
Jacket 349 plus 249 pants, very high price..... I don t know if is good, but seems not so waterproof
Waiting patiently for the next zombie video bro.... Have a great weekend!!!
Can you fold over the ends of the straps (just the tips) and sew them down, making them to thick to slip through the buckles?
+Prepare Learn Survive! i could but the problem is the buckles don't stay adjusted they just slip.
+Living Survival I see. I've seen some clips for Molle straps that you clip on and add a bungee feature to your pack, they maybe use to hold the extra strap pined to the strap being feed into the buckle, locking the strap onto itself.
That would be a good ski outfit too.
+Lellobeetle might even been too warm for that. i always got hot when snowboarding or skiing.
What might work on your pants where the strap is slipping, try adding plastic loops, that way the strap wont pull out.........they work for me (strapworks.com) stocks them
