50/50 is okay when it's 50/50 on EVERYTHING! Domestic labor, finances, emotional labor, etc. What you will NOT do is ask for 50/50 on the bills, but then want me to submit to you and do majority of the domestic and emotional labor. And no, you're not allowed to give 20 percent one day. If you want 50/50 then it's 50/50 EVERYDAY.

    • @ChocoBeauty8
      @ChocoBeauty8 5 місяців тому +6

In my opinion, I do not believe he intended it that way.
I believe he was primarily referring to emotional/mental aspects, which account for 20%.
During episodes of depression, sometimes I am not motivated to do anything and only have 10 or 20 percent of my usual energy. My husband is understanding and supportive during these challenging periods.

@ChocoBeauty8 if a man asks for 50/50, he needs to come up with his portion in all aspects every day. If someone is on their own, they gotta come up with 100 everyday, so I would never tolerate a 50/50 dude who only got 20 one day. Nope! Come up with the extra 30. Or I'll do 100 and be by myself.

He and Monet are social media people so they are well aware of how things work. I agree with the chick that said stingy men used to be a lot quieter. An influencer is different than a content creator because influencers usually have massive followings and are the 'face' of their brand. They are the brand. A content creator can be anyone that creates content -- they don't have to have a big following, they don't have to be the face and they don't have to be paid anything. I am a content creator but not an influencer.

    • @LadyCharity

I agree with the OP - we can do what works best for us. There is no one size fits all to relationship roles. Some men would love to house husbands but that's not for me! I grew up in a traditional household where my dad was the provider. For myself, I would prefer a man provide and I help out -- more of a contemporary partnership NOT 50/50. 50/50 seems equal but it's actually unfair to women given the emotional, physical and material labor we often take on more often than not in relationships. It is fair in my opinion that a husband provides. I also feel women ought to have their own money as well and get provider men. Some women don't care if a guy is broke since they have a lot of money but that is not my story personally.

I think it’s because she makes so much more money than he does. So, he can’t “compete” with that right now. Whatever his reasons are, it’s ok. Life happens. And they have different success.
But like you said, it’s the gas lighting women about it! And trying to rewrite what being a provider is. - he should have stayed quiet. Picked a different topic to speak on.

@@TinkOutLoudthe reality is that being the provider has drastically changed in its interpretations. Simply providing makes you a provider.
Men back in the days provided food, clothes and all necessities because a woman didn’t have the capability to do it for themselves.
Women have their own bank accounts and buy things of their own volition now. Making their man A provider.

I think more women need to look for emotional providers. I definitely understand that if you provide more EVERYWHERE else in the relationship you would want and honestly need a man to provide more financially. But why don’t we change the climate that allows men to only need to be financially stable? We need to expect more from them in EVERY other aspect. We’d have less stories of single married mothers, women left alone with babies, serial cheaters, and married single men. BUT these men are being embarrassing. If you are dealing with a high value woman these men should be WAY more mindful of her image.

Grooming ? Okay, I think that word gets tossed around too much. If two people are fully grown adults in an age Gap relationship, then that is their business.
However, I think that as a society we really need to have a nice long talk about reasons were uncomfortable with age gap relationships when it comes to people who are legal adults of different ages.
Not to mention, that there needs to be a discussion on the need to infantilize women who are in age disparity relationships.
Seriously, it can come up as incredibly creepy and condescending.
Which is also an issue that should be seriously discussed. Because there comes a point when, despite an age Gap if two people are considered legal adults and have their own lives, then is there much of a need to try to roast them and interrogate their relationship ?
I genuinely would like to see an honest conversation about this. And how we shouldn't think about tossing around the word grooming. There's a real honest to goodness lost with some people and what constitutes grooming... It gets used to often as a buzzword that people actually experience real grooming, suffer

Oh what a win if my bf made the money and I could just get a card and get my nails done. Unfortunately we live on earth and I’ll enjoy pulling my own card for nails hair spa fashion for now but love that feeling of having a partnership where we want to treat each other. It feels great to treat not even romantic but anyone it’s fun to treat people when you can. I’m realizing they are sociopaths
