Even with no fish. That looks like the perfect day. Fantastic video to watch. Peace and quiet, a bit of fishing, a bit of Robin, a bit of nice gear. Good quality picture and sound. It's gold! Keep doing what you'r doing.
Roving and filming is a bit tricky. Haven't been to this river this season yet, may have to go give it another try. Thanks for the sub and taking time to comment.
Thanks for the comment, I'm new to river fishing and have not had much success. going to try get out fishing again soon, I'll have to go to a lake as the Seasons ended now. Hope you stick around and see what's coming up.
@@TheSussexOutdoorsman it’s a nice reel, I’ve not trotted with it yet but had plenty of tench and crucians out on the pond. Good to see it spins freely with the current 👍 Ps it does look the part too 👍
Sorry mate, for some reason I thought it said “new Korda centrepin” that’s why bought up the fact it was it was on Amazon from different company ect. My bad, apologies 👍
It's a rovex john wilson avon. Great rod but unfortunately i think it's now discontinued. Hope you have fun with your new pin. I'm looking forward to getting out again soon. Thanks for watching.
Ha! About to say same thing, I got the rovex JW travel rod, Avon/quiver tip. Yes discontinued, but I was able to find one on eBay, so there still about. Lovely rod, got a black/very dark green finish probably my favourite rod, you can see why allegedly it was the best selling rod in the world.👍. If you can get one, it’s worth looking after, be a nice little investment.
Hi.. only just found your channel and have subscribed. Just wanted to say how refreshing your approach to fishing is. My approach is very much the same, I like your style of fishing, methods and obviously appreciation that there's more to fishing than just catching. Plus ! I thought I was the only chap of our age who likes using a pin and more traditional methods. Good for you. I'm West Sussex and mainly fish the Western Rother. A slightly odd request but what brand is that blue shirt your wearing I like it very much. Kindest Regard's.
Nice to hear you enjoyed the film. Thanks for watching and subing. I get great enjoyments using old, traditional gear and techniques, and like minded people know it's about more them just catching fish. Good luck with your fishing. BTW the shirt is from Orvis. (Got it second hand from ebay, far more affordable.)
@@TheSussexOutdoorsman sorry for very late reply. I mainly fish the Rother at Midhurst and Woolbeeding for Grayling. Managed a session today was a bit slow but lovely to be out. Especially trotting a float with Pin. Did you try Alderwood? want to visit myself
@@jbradshaw4236 not been able to get to aderwood yet. Good to hear you had some time out on the pin today. I'm going try some trotting on the Arun this Sunday.
this amazon centerpin is very very bad at free spin.....and dude you forgot to put backing into your spool.............try raven, it's a very good beginner centerpin. You can also try islander, and you'll know what is a real centerpin.
@@First-class-angling okay, I get that. Makes sense with a fix spool to keep the line flat with the spool rim. But with a pin, you have to take the line off the reel before you cast, unless I'm doing something horribly wrong.

Was i tough day that one. Not the best for river fishing. But was great to be out.
This is fishing and part of it.👍 I too have tailor days. But it's always fun to be in nature. Greetings Stefan
Thanks. This was a hard day. But worth getting out and giving it a go.
Cant be easy filming and fishing but you managed it. Your so right fishing isn't always about catching. I've subscribed. Thanks.

Thats great buddy
You look so fed up keep smiling Sir
Thanks for watching mate. It was a tough old day that one,.
Is that “re-branded”? I’ve got the exact same reel, same machining. Chinese no name off Amazon, £45, how much you guys doing it for?
I actually got it brought as a gift, but i guess it would be on amazon too. Most likely mass production with loads of different names.

It’s not Amazon it’s from Angling Direct.
