I don't want to say it, but the mere fact that she's from Liyue, is meta enough. We all know Mihoyo's favorite is Liyue. Which leads to think that Baizhu's gonna be cracked.
The most OP characters are all quite evenly spread - Bennett, Fischl, Xingqiu, Zhongli, Hutao, Kazuha, Raiden, Ayaka. In fact, within liyue only xinqiu is irreplaceable in today's meta. Bennet, Kazuha and Raiden are staple must-haves and they are not liyue.

I am actually very happy that she is perfectly functional at base. Because I am completely skipping this banner and getting a free copy of her doing the lantern rite event. I have been waiting a whole freaking year to get my hands on Hu Tao And I am not going to pass up this opportunity.
She is also very obviously MUCH MORE effective at the Dragonspine multi-player team up event quest as the only person who had a Level 90 Hu Tau, with the Staff of Homa probably max level as well, caused ALMOST ALL OF THE DAMAGE to the enemy as well completely finishing it off in literally almost a few seconds as well. The artifacts were probably all maxed out, but still I prove my point here that she DEFINITELY MAKES A DIFFERENCE for the event duration as well. The damage results on the screen made it SO EMBARRASSING to be looking at that we felt like we had no choice but to pull for the character the next time that she came around, probably the other people did to as well for security reasons as well to their accounts as well.
To be fair atleast in nilou teams you actually WANT yaoyao to be on the field atleast for her full burst duration because not only does she have a lot of health she can tank all the bountiful core damage better than the rest of the party while healing everybody and keeping the bloom factory going. Fun fact: If you pair her with candace she can be a driver for the team during her burst and you wont be losing much damage considering nilou's passives and candace's passive. Pairing the both together with yaoyao has all 3 of them benefit from the hydro resonance greatly and with nahida providing the missing dendro application off-field and an EM boost Yaoyao can be a great driver for the team
@@Braxophone I mean it probably wont be competetive meta wise but it certainly works well and building a crap ton of HP is actually a good thing in the team especially if yaoyao is c4 then she can get a lot just from her teammates (aka hydro resonance, candace's buff, and nilou)

I am using Yaoyao Fischl Kazuha Keqing, it's amazing!!! I missed having a healer in overworld and abyss. Compared to Nahida, you have less range for applying Dendro and shorter duration. However, there is no long ass burst animations aside from Keqing so it's very fast and fluid. Being able to set up faster really compensate Yaoyao lack of damage. I have the same results with Nahida and Yaoyao in abyss but there is healing with Yaoyao.
When I paired her with Kuki, Xingqiu, and Dendro Traveler in a hyperbloom comp, the continuous healing from Yaoyao & Kuki and dendro cores generated was beyond what I anticipated. Not only are enemies dying quicker, it's become basically a "lifesteal" kind of combat which I've never done usually. Note: I don't have Kokomi, Tighnari, Alhaitham, Yelan, Yae, or any other characters that could apply an element better because my pull luck sucks.
I waited for Yaoyao for so long. Glad that she didn’t disappoint haha. I was rolling more for her than for Xiao. Luckily I got her c5 and will acquire her c6 via the event! :D I will double crown her as well.
I believe that there a cutscene(s?) involving your character name being involved in some way, so maybe how you raise Yao Yao could maybe possibly backfire on you as well. Yao Yao did mention that she DID NOT want to be a potential burden to the traveler as well. I am just guessing here but the cutscene might be intentionally blocked by the daily commission with the father asking for Almond Tofu to make her daughter take her medicine as well. The daily commission doss infact take place in Liyue as well. Pokemon Mystery Dungeon even has text change for mention of Chansey versus actually acquiring and selecting it to be your main Pokemon as well. Mihiyo probably already saved the footage of the cutscenes mentioning it simply only because the people who ACTUALLY made the game play style knew/knows exactly what they are talking about as well.
Probably Yao Yao will join up inside of the game upon meeting her AFTER THE PATCH that allows her to enter the game as well. You would still probably have to do SOMETHING with her as well before she leaves you as well. I am just guessing here but, considering that the text absolutely explained itself as well; among the fact that believed that the Mihiyo rep even mentioned that there was more than one way to get added into your game, including doing stuff that you might not want to do as well. I believe that even the father of the child even mentioned something about possibly looking for the child for a bit and then changing her manually into her pajamas and other clothes, even back to back to back, if she insists on it, when it accidentally slipped out of his mouth as well. He also mentioned something related to that if you cannot look after a child, then you reallly should not be adventuring with the adventures guild as well.
What I manually experienced already first hand definitely kind of proves that point already as those cutscenes ONLY could have taken place when they WERE NOT added into the game to be playable as well. I would also assume that Mihiyo intentionally programmed the game based on the fact that they knew that people who found it before anyone should have at least found a stable source of income/at least had some money to spend on the game. They did mention that they were all grateful they actually did not have any real jobs themselves in what they were writing up about the content as well.
Anyone playing the game now likely will not sway their viewpoint of the game already, considering that they did already mention that they would use the content that they recieved about the content being written about the sooner the better as well. There is definitely ways to get money safely on the side, no ads required as well.
I believe that he mentioned something about absolutely careful about the person who is going to playing the game in raising/using a character that he swore he saw going around Liyie from time to time as well. He is also probably a little bit aware of what of probably other things about your journey/the game upon reasonable usuage as well. I believe that he even mentioned that he knew something about the 5th and 6th regions as well to tell when and if the timing was right as well. It could just only be the content that the Mihiyo employees were reading about that immediately surprised them as well. However the content I was specifically looking at did apparently require a login with further ability to see what the content was actually even there on the page as well.
Finally someone understanding her potential. The moment I tested her out in Trial I knew she was at least an S tier healer And immediately started raising her. Great even at c0, which is extremely rare for a 4* unit. Put 4 piece deepwood on her, you can build 4PC gilded on Nahida in that case and she would actually be better than Kokomi in Nilou bloom teams. that's how good she is!

I'm so glad that YaoYao is as good as she is. I ended up C6'ing her right after getting her for free because I wanted Alhaitham, lmao, and ended up getting Keqing as my 5-star instead. I'll be building YaoYao for the day Alhaitham comes home because my Ganyu carries me wherever see go, so Dendro reactions and teams haven't been near the forefront of my mind since making it Sumeru a few weeks ago. you've absolutely convinced me to build her. So far I've got her on Fav, for artifacts I've got 2pc healing 2 pc ER, HP/HP/HB but that will probably change as I keep farming gilded dreams, so I can put deepwood on yaoyao and gilded on al haitham (for now he's got 4pc gilded but this might be a DPS loss since he scales so well with EM). I'm planning to use her with al haitham in aggravate or hyperbloom teams, and mayyyyybe with nilou bloom if I desperately need kokomi elsewhere but I'm p happy with my bloom team otherwise.... Hadn't thought of Keqing though! Thanks for an excellent guide, and so many different team comp ideas.
Leading up to the update I did my best to prepare for Yaoyao. Some of it worked out, some of it didn’t- but I found that the aranara craftable moonpiercer works really well with Yaoyao. The effect even triggers off field. I throw her bunny out, and switch to Shinobu (which is a great combo) and the reaction ends up with a leaf spawning on the ground. It’s pretty useful! I’m going to be trying her in more teams, but she’s really fun with electro and Pyro too, not just bloom related ones. I tried using her with Candace, but it just feels kinda. Clunky
@@zippo718 I’ve found that combined their healing is rather effective rather quickly, to the point that I can feed a suspicious steak to a fully built level 90 character and get them to full HP before Shinobus skill is finished. When running around in overworld- it’s more than sufficient to keep the party at full health at all times, as well as good application of elements and reactions. I can swap to a completely different character and have the benefits of both going as well- which is convenient. If I’m exploring and need to light a Dendro monument, I’ve found it’s fairly quick to put a bunny down, then immediately switch to Shinobu and use her skill. The health it takes for her to use immediately switches from random directions to target you directly- stand next to the monument and it’ll light. This also applies in combat, stand close and both will apply and or react. In addition- combination of Dendro, electro and Pyro on an opponent leads to some fun reactions as well, fairly even spread. Overload, burning, spread and aggravate. Especially if I’m running a squishier Pyro, the overload knocks things back and stops me from being staggered. Neither my Shinobu or Yaoyao are fully built even- but they work pretty effectively together despite that. I’m still working on them- but they’re a pretty fun team already. Mostly been using them with Yoimiya and Kazuha so far. Hope this answers your question alright! :)

As a post AR45 player, i just slapped traveling doctors set with almost all the main stat being HP percentage. Currently shes replacing barbara as a healer and I must say, she more than does the job well
great video! everyone I talked too says to use her burst and keep her on field, but I agree its not worth keeping her up on field for the bunny and extra raddish when you can have someone on field that does damage bc even her short heal time is still lots of heals

Her cons are in that exact sweetspot where I'll feel she's situationally ideal without any of them, yet the cons are very welcome in my future pulls. The latter is also true for Faruzan, I always hope for those cons from off-banner/standard
I use Black Tassel with an ER sands. I use it in a hyperbloom team with Yelan and Kuki and it works great, with her getting her burst every rotation. That being said, Yelan uses Fav bow, so your point about ER still stands.
the main reason I love to build Yao Yao because in the abyss I need the 2nd healer in 2nd team. So Yeah with Yao Yao finally here I can use that spot for her
I dont understand why content creators are suggesting a ER polearm, if her best polearm offers around 31% ER (and the Favonious Lance require her to have enough crit rate) and the sands offers 62% ER. Another issue is to recommend a sands artifact with EM, when the Dragons' Bane offers 220 EM (+33 EM than the artifact). Her more efficient set (Deepwood Memories) should be: HP/ Att/ ER/ HP%/ HP% So, Yaoyao with the Dragons' Bane and a ER sands artifact is more efficient in general. The downside of the Dragons' Bane is its low ass attack, but the attack difference amongst 4 stars polearms would not affect Yaoyao.
Fav lance provides more than just the 31% sub stat. The extra neutral particle contributes a lot to her really high energy cost. Let’s face it Yao Yao isn’t gonna do much damage so better focus on healing and healing uptime
Agree with this. I use HP/Att/ER/HP%/HealingBonus with BlackTassel. I'd rather have 46% HP than 30something% ER. I also use 2pc ocean clam with 2pc ToTM. More than enough ER and nobody dies. My burst is ready before CD expires. Yaoyao is too good.
I love her so much! I didn't wanted to get Kokomi out of my main team to make my second functional but I really don't like Barbara's play style. I now play with Collei, Nilou, Xinquiu and Yao Yao and I love it. It's a really fun team. I hope I will be able to add Nahida to the mix sometimes but for now, it's good and hyper satisfying!
My only issue with yaoyao is that she uses the scara boss mats for her talents even though she's from Liyue. So now I can't even level them because Nahida, Wanderer, and Faruzan keep stealing them when I'm not looking!
You should be able to combine together the materials to form the other ones that need for the other characters depending on how much of them that you have, and based on where you acquire the material from obviously. Your overall game time, and your eye health will likely be grateful for ot later as well. This comment obviously applies to every character inside of the game, and you can also share it with anybody playing the game as well.
that c2 is very situational. if the bunny targets ur active character and they are far from the enemy, her c2 has no value. its a good cons but isnt a guarantee like thomas c4
I like playing around with my hyper bloom team despite it not being the best, and I think Yaoyao would be great for it since I don’t have a healer for it and want another dendro! I haven’t got her yet, so I’ll definitely pick her from the event!!
Having her & Alhaitham release on my birthday felt like the best gift ever 🥰 I got really lucky on the Alhaitham banner and was able to get her constellations; she is very fun to play, ridiculously adorable, and imma need a giant Yuegui plushy STAT
I've been really enjoying using her lately, especially in Raiden Hyperbloom. I usually use Raiden, Xingqiu, DMC, and Zhongli (for pretection) but I found that Yaoyao works soo much better here than Zhongli. Dendro resonance provides quite a good EM boost and Yaoyao just gives so much healing and dendro application overall (I even found it hard for my Xingqiu to keep up with the Dendro in multi-target situations). The only one missing in this team is Nahida really. If I can get Nahida this would easily be my best team (it already kinda is but Nahida would make it soooo much better). Also hope to use her in Nilou bloom once I get Nahida.

Two of my party members already use Prototype Amber which I like using for them a lot, so I gave my YaoYao Engulfing Lightning and Emblem of Severed Fate for the lol’s.
i was expecting C6 or any constellation to make her, just like sayu, multi task attack and heal at the same time. which would make her incredibly stronger, although a very good unit from 0.
We need an electro buffer/debuffer to EM teams, Pyro catalyst healer/support. About Liyue, they had boosting Liyue characters since the first Zhongli release (he was terrible on his release, OP after buffs, nd decent now if we compare to Raiden/Nahida kit or details like animations.The most broken thing about Liyue was the forbbiden trinity Hutao/Xiao/Ganyu, they still have INSANE stats even if we compare w/ recent characters like Nilou/Nahida.
@The Ashianz Xinyan can be a support or dps depending on how you build her, she can also kinda mix like Noelle, her shield is based off her def and her cons suggest that she's supposed to be played as a physical dps, you put 2 piece pale flame and 2 piece husk you can buff her sheild and dmg, you can also just go full physical dps with her

I wouldn't say sumeru characters are questionable, really. They're actually really good in their specific niches but some of them are only good in said niche.
Nilou and alhaitham is really good. In fact, counting nahida, most of the 5 star releases in sumeru had been decent to good, probably bcuz of how broken dendro reaction is. The only questionable ones are the 4 stars and prob cyno atm, so that's really not alot.
Fr the only good characters that are coming from sumeru are Nahida, Layla and Alhaitham. Everyone else is either: -Mid (Dori, Candace and Collei) -Decent (Tighnari and Scaramouche) -Good but they need to used in a specific way (Nilou) - C6 reliant (Faruzan) -Or they're just Cyno
Instructor with yaoyao might not be the best idea. Because of a little quirk with how the 4 piece set works, she has to be on the field while a reaction triggers in order to get the buff
My team comp is Wanderer, Raiden, Xingqiu and yaoyao. It's pretty good so far, lots of homing missiles, lots of heals ...just need a damn shield....need a 5 character team composition
I was pulling on the standard banner on 30 pity, and i got Skyward Spine. I just put it on Yaoyao, because i got her earlier when i was pulling for Venti.

Best budget unit to keep up with Dendro harmful reactions. Put her in Nilou's team, even at low level she can keep up with both corrosion and bloom damage. Just make sure stack HP on her.
I can see yaoyao on the field with xingqiu Q and raiden E on a hyperbloom team raiden being here to battery her and xingqiu and lost slot maybe dendro traveler for dendro resonance
I'm running her with Exile and Engulfing Lightning until I get better pieces and actually build my Raiden, but honestly.. might just keep her like this because she's doing wonders for my Cyno. 😅

Just picked up the game a few days ago and got her on a draw and she’s so adorable. She’s my strongest attack person actually… you mentioned not to build her that way but since I’m only AR20 almost is it okay to continue using her as my main DMG basically until later game?
Yao Yao might be fine to use if you just started to the game. But make certain that the artifacts attached to her ARE NOT AT MAX LEVEL 4 four for green, 12 for blue, 16 for purple. I am not fully certain if what is going to exactly happen if anything goes wrong considering that she did not even name herself in the cutscene where she first introduced herself as a sprite in the game. She also specifically mentioned NOT WANTING TO JOIN THE GAME any earlier to avoid being a possible burden to the travler as well. The Mihiyo rep probably knew exactly what would happen if she joined any earlier, but chose specifically not to bring it when it was being mentioned by them as well. I believe that I might have accidentally came across the bunny looking at her from afar, and I partially believe that I was observing the bunny would make the traveler do; more specifically the ones where it lost A LOT of health looking directly at her doing it as well. It was even watching her really closely even way back then as well.
It is rather surprising the difference in cutscenes between actually experiencing them first hand to watching them from further away as well. I believe that the bunny was even mentioning way back then even that it might (might) eventually force someone to do some of the actions it was personally observing to allow itself to attempt to regenerate some of its total amount of health back as well. True she was probably a little bit younger when they actually took place, but still there is certain actions that should not be done in certain situations. I believe that she knew that something might have been watching her as well. Definitely timing matters for certain situations as well. I believe that the bunny even mentioned something about a travler exploring Tevyat as well. Definitely the cutscenes NOT BEING shown to you probably LIKELY INVOLVE cutscenes that kids would FIND DISTURBING to be even be looking at as well, considering that the cutscenes probably are likely preferably(?) locked behind Klee in some way, shape, or form as well I guess(?) considering that even I ACCIDENTALLY connected to Little Lulu with BEING her clothes while she was being carried up the stairs as well, with her even IMMEDIATELY apologizing about what I experienced as well!!!!! It was HONESTLY IMPOSSIBLE to make up as well that it was occurring TO ME as well!!! Yet somehow I WAS NOT phased from the experience that occurred afterwards as well for some reason as well. I already explained somewhere else entirely where I forgot where I posted it, but it was simply where I HAD NO CHOICE but observe her sleeping and allow her to sleep as well!!!
I think you're using her burst wrong; it lasts longer than you're saying. If she stays on field, it lasts longer and she generates more radishes from running and jumping.
It's best to swap off and go back to driving with another character after just a couple seconds, since most of the time she's not dealing much damage, her hit ICD is special meaning it doesn't affect dendro app Basically keeping her on field longer loses you damage overall so your field time with her in burst is flexible :)

@@demoncloud6147 That is correct, don't build her with full HP in mind , go with Mihoyo intended design for her which is dps during burst uptime which is also obvious in her cons. Do 600damage or 6000 damage during the 4sec is up you. I am with you with using the Catch on her.
I use yaoyao + Xingqiu+ Fischl+ sucrose Use the skill and change characters , this makes it easy to have yaoyao on field cuz everyone can work off field
So far I have her in a team with Sayu, Klee and Qiqi cause...baby army, lol. But I haven't tested how well it works yet. I'm hoping a hyrdo kiddo comes out soon and I know Iansan is supposed to be Pyro or Geo so if she is pyro, I might replace Klee with her. I did see leaked characters from the new region...not sure how accurate they will be but it looked like there might be a hydro kiddo from there. If there is, I'll replace Sayu with her since I know Pyro, Cyro, Dendro and Hydro will make good elemental reactions to help with fighting. :o I'm still trying to figure team stuff out O...O

I am actually very happy that she is perfectly functional at base. Because I am completely skipping this banner and getting a free copy of her doing the lantern rite event. I have been waiting a whole freaking year to get my hands on Hu Tao And I am not going to pass up this opportunity.

She is also very obviously MUCH MORE effective at the Dragonspine multi-player team up event quest as the only person who had a Level 90 Hu Tau, with the Staff of Homa probably max level as well, caused ALMOST ALL OF THE DAMAGE to the enemy as well completely finishing it off in literally almost a few seconds as well. The artifacts were probably all maxed out, but still I prove my point here that she DEFINITELY MAKES A DIFFERENCE for the event duration as well. The damage results on the screen made it SO EMBARRASSING to be looking at that we felt like we had no choice but to pull for the character the next time that she came around, probably the other people did to as well for security reasons as well to their accounts as well.

To be fair atleast in nilou teams you actually WANT yaoyao to be on the field atleast for her full burst duration because not only does she have a lot of health she can tank all the bountiful core damage better than the rest of the party while healing everybody and keeping the bloom factory going.
Fun fact: If you pair her with candace she can be a driver for the team during her burst and you wont be losing much damage considering nilou's passives and candace's passive. Pairing the both together with yaoyao has all 3 of them benefit from the hydro resonance greatly and with nahida providing the missing dendro application off-field and an EM boost Yaoyao can be a great driver for the team
It can go either way on the field time. I realize now I left out my note about Candace, but it's a fun way to incorporate her into a good team!
@@Braxophone I mean it probably wont be competetive meta wise but it certainly works well and building a crap ton of HP is actually a good thing in the team especially if yaoyao is c4 then she can get a lot just from her teammates (aka hydro resonance, candace's buff, and nilou)

I am using Yaoyao Fischl Kazuha Keqing, it's amazing!!! I missed having a healer in overworld and abyss. Compared to Nahida, you have less range for applying Dendro and shorter duration. However, there is no long ass burst animations aside from Keqing so it's very fast and fluid. Being able to set up faster really compensate Yaoyao lack of damage. I have the same results with Nahida and Yaoyao in abyss but there is healing with Yaoyao.
When I paired her with Kuki, Xingqiu, and Dendro Traveler in a hyperbloom comp, the continuous healing from Yaoyao & Kuki and dendro cores generated was beyond what I anticipated. Not only are enemies dying quicker, it's become basically a "lifesteal" kind of combat which I've never done usually.
Note: I don't have Kokomi, Tighnari, Alhaitham, Yelan, Yae, or any other characters that could apply an element better because my pull luck sucks.

Got C1 Yaoyao trying to pull for Alhaitham, only to find out she is an awesome support for Raiden!
I waited for Yaoyao for so long. Glad that she didn’t disappoint haha. I was rolling more for her than for Xiao. Luckily I got her c5 and will acquire her c6 via the event! :D I will double crown her as well.
I believe that there a cutscene(s?) involving your character name being involved in some way, so maybe how you raise Yao Yao could maybe possibly backfire on you as well. Yao Yao did mention that she DID NOT want to be a potential burden to the traveler as well. I am just guessing here but the cutscene might be intentionally blocked by the daily commission with the father asking for Almond Tofu to make her daughter take her medicine as well. The daily commission doss infact take place in Liyue as well. Pokemon Mystery Dungeon even has text change for mention of Chansey versus actually acquiring and selecting it to be your main Pokemon as well. Mihiyo probably already saved the footage of the cutscenes mentioning it simply only because the people who ACTUALLY made the game play style knew/knows exactly what they are talking about as well.
Probably Yao Yao will join up inside of the game upon meeting her AFTER THE PATCH that allows her to enter the game as well. You would still probably have to do SOMETHING with her as well before she leaves you as well. I am just guessing here but, considering that the text absolutely explained itself as well; among the fact that believed that the Mihiyo rep even mentioned that there was more than one way to get added into your game, including doing stuff that you might not want to do as well. I believe that even the father of the child even mentioned something about possibly looking for the child for a bit and then changing her manually into her pajamas and other clothes, even back to back to back, if she insists on it, when it accidentally slipped out of his mouth as well. He also mentioned something related to that if you cannot look after a child, then you reallly should not be adventuring with the adventures guild as well.
What I manually experienced already first hand definitely kind of proves that point already as those cutscenes ONLY could have taken place when they WERE NOT added into the game to be playable as well. I would also assume that Mihiyo intentionally programmed the game based on the fact that they knew that people who found it before anyone should have at least found a stable source of income/at least had some money to spend on the game. They did mention that they were all grateful they actually did not have any real jobs themselves in what they were writing up about the content as well.
Anyone playing the game now likely will not sway their viewpoint of the game already, considering that they did already mention that they would use the content that they recieved about the content being written about the sooner the better as well. There is definitely ways to get money safely on the side, no ads required as well.
I believe that he mentioned something about absolutely careful about the person who is going to playing the game in raising/using a character that he swore he saw going around Liyie from time to time as well. He is also probably a little bit aware of what of probably other things about your journey/the game upon reasonable usuage as well. I believe that he even mentioned that he knew something about the 5th and 6th regions as well to tell when and if the timing was right as well. It could just only be the content that the Mihiyo employees were reading about that immediately surprised them as well. However the content I was specifically looking at did apparently require a login with further ability to see what the content was actually even there on the page as well.

Finally someone understanding her potential. The moment I tested her out in Trial I knew she was at least an S tier healer And immediately started raising her. Great even at c0, which is extremely rare for a 4* unit. Put 4 piece deepwood on her, you can build 4PC gilded on Nahida in that case and she would actually be better than Kokomi in Nilou bloom teams. that's how good she is!

I'm so glad that YaoYao is as good as she is. I ended up C6'ing her right after getting her for free because I wanted Alhaitham, lmao, and ended up getting Keqing as my 5-star instead. I'll be building YaoYao for the day Alhaitham comes home because my Ganyu carries me wherever see go, so Dendro reactions and teams haven't been near the forefront of my mind since making it Sumeru a few weeks ago.

you've absolutely convinced me to build her. So far I've got her on Fav, for artifacts I've got 2pc healing 2 pc ER, HP/HP/HB but that will probably change as I keep farming gilded dreams, so I can put deepwood on yaoyao and gilded on al haitham (for now he's got 4pc gilded but this might be a DPS loss since he scales so well with EM). I'm planning to use her with al haitham in aggravate or hyperbloom teams, and mayyyyybe with nilou bloom if I desperately need kokomi elsewhere but I'm p happy with my bloom team otherwise.... Hadn't thought of Keqing though! Thanks for an excellent guide, and so many different team comp ideas.
Leading up to the update I did my best to prepare for Yaoyao. Some of it worked out, some of it didn’t- but I found that the aranara craftable moonpiercer works really well with Yaoyao. The effect even triggers off field. I throw her bunny out, and switch to Shinobu (which is a great combo) and the reaction ends up with a leaf spawning on the ground. It’s pretty useful! I’m going to be trying her in more teams, but she’s really fun with electro and Pyro too, not just bloom related ones. I tried using her with Candace, but it just feels kinda. Clunky
How is 2 healers on a team a great combo?
@@zippo718 I’ve found that combined their healing is rather effective rather quickly, to the point that I can feed a suspicious steak to a fully built level 90 character and get them to full HP before Shinobus skill is finished. When running around in overworld- it’s more than sufficient to keep the party at full health at all times, as well as good application of elements and reactions. I can swap to a completely different character and have the benefits of both going as well- which is convenient.
If I’m exploring and need to light a Dendro monument, I’ve found it’s fairly quick to put a bunny down, then immediately switch to Shinobu and use her skill. The health it takes for her to use immediately switches from random directions to target you directly- stand next to the monument and it’ll light. This also applies in combat, stand close and both will apply and or react. In addition- combination of Dendro, electro and Pyro on an opponent leads to some fun reactions as well, fairly even spread. Overload, burning, spread and aggravate. Especially if I’m running a squishier Pyro, the overload knocks things back and stops me from being staggered. Neither my Shinobu or Yaoyao are fully built even- but they work pretty effectively together despite that. I’m still working on them- but they’re a pretty fun team already. Mostly been using them with Yoimiya and Kazuha so far. Hope this answers your question alright! :)

As a post AR45 player, i just slapped traveling doctors set with almost all the main stat being HP percentage. Currently shes replacing barbara as a healer and I must say, she more than does the job well
great video! everyone I talked too says to use her burst and keep her on field, but I agree its not worth keeping her up on field for the bunny and extra raddish when you can have someone on field that does damage bc even her short heal time is still lots of heals
u'd run her onfield in a Nilou bloom team because she can apply dendro by just moving and takes essentially 50% less dmg from the bloom self dmg.

Her cons are in that exact sweetspot where I'll feel she's situationally ideal without any of them, yet the cons are very welcome in my future pulls. The latter is also true for Faruzan, I always hope for those cons from off-banner/standard
I use Black Tassel with an ER sands. I use it in a hyperbloom team with Yelan and Kuki and it works great, with her getting her burst every rotation. That being said, Yelan uses Fav bow, so your point about ER still stands.

I dont understand why content creators are suggesting a ER polearm, if her best polearm offers around 31% ER (and the Favonious Lance require her to have enough crit rate) and the sands offers 62% ER.
Another issue is to recommend a sands artifact with EM, when the Dragons' Bane offers 220 EM (+33 EM than the artifact).
Her more efficient set (Deepwood Memories) should be:
HP/ Att/ ER/ HP%/ HP%
So, Yaoyao with the Dragons' Bane and a ER sands artifact is more efficient in general.
The downside of the Dragons' Bane is its low ass attack, but the attack difference amongst 4 stars polearms would not affect Yaoyao.
Fav lance provides more than just the 31% sub stat. The extra neutral particle contributes a lot to her really high energy cost.
Let’s face it Yao Yao isn’t gonna do much damage so better focus on healing and healing uptime
Agree with this. I use HP/Att/ER/HP%/HealingBonus with BlackTassel. I'd rather have 46% HP than 30something% ER. I also use 2pc ocean clam with 2pc ToTM. More than enough ER and nobody dies. My burst is ready before CD expires.

I love her so much! I didn't wanted to get Kokomi out of my main team to make my second functional but I really don't like Barbara's play style. I now play with Collei, Nilou, Xinquiu and Yao Yao and I love it. It's a really fun team. I hope I will be able to add Nahida to the mix sometimes but for now, it's good and hyper satisfying!

Got YaoYao yesterday... now all I have to do is level her from 1 to 80 so I can use her... and I'm broke. This might be a while. :P
My only issue with yaoyao is that she uses the scara boss mats for her talents even though she's from Liyue. So now I can't even level them because Nahida, Wanderer, and Faruzan keep stealing them when I'm not looking!
You should be able to combine together the materials to form the other ones that need for the other characters depending on how much of them that you have, and based on where you acquire the material from obviously. Your overall game time, and your eye health will likely be grateful for ot later as well. This comment obviously applies to every character inside of the game, and you can also share it with anybody playing the game as well.

Her C2 is really good QoL buff. You can focus on only HP%/Healing bonus without worrying about ER.
that c2 is very situational. if the bunny targets ur active character and they are far from the enemy, her c2 has no value. its a good cons but isnt a guarantee like thomas c4
I like playing around with my hyper bloom team despite it not being the best, and I think Yaoyao would be great for it since I don’t have a healer for it and want another dendro! I haven’t got her yet, so I’ll definitely pick her from the event!!

I've been really enjoying using her lately, especially in Raiden Hyperbloom. I usually use Raiden, Xingqiu, DMC, and Zhongli (for pretection) but I found that Yaoyao works soo much better here than Zhongli. Dendro resonance provides quite a good EM boost and Yaoyao just gives so much healing and dendro application overall (I even found it hard for my Xingqiu to keep up with the Dendro in multi-target situations). The only one missing in this team is Nahida really. If I can get Nahida this would easily be my best team (it already kinda is but Nahida would make it soooo much better).
Also hope to use her in Nilou bloom once I get Nahida.

Two of my party members already use Prototype Amber which I like using for them a lot, so I gave my YaoYao Engulfing Lightning and Emblem of Severed Fate for the lol’s.
I use her with DMC, Kazuha and Lisa,, but Kazuha and DMC already run FAVSwo to get Lisa's burst up consistently, so I use black tassel on Yaoyao
Or the other option is Raiden, Kokomi, Nahida YaoYao in which case i use Kokomi on-field due to double dendro so her ult is of little value
i was expecting C6 or any constellation to make her, just like sayu, multi task attack and heal at the same time. which would make her incredibly stronger, although a very good unit from 0.
We need an electro buffer/debuffer to EM teams, Pyro catalyst healer/support. About Liyue, they had boosting Liyue characters since the first Zhongli release (he was terrible on his release, OP after buffs, nd decent now if we compare to Raiden/Nahida kit or details like animations.The most broken thing about Liyue was the forbbiden trinity Hutao/Xiao/Ganyu, they still have INSANE stats even if we compare w/ recent characters like Nilou/Nahida.
Liyue 4 stars are honestly built different, they're all very good(in my opinion)

@The Ashianz Xinyan can be a support or dps depending on how you build her, she can also kinda mix like Noelle, her shield is based off her def and her cons suggest that she's supposed to be played as a physical dps, you put 2 piece pale flame and 2 piece husk you can buff her sheild and dmg, you can also just go full physical dps with her
I love both yaoyao and Sayu as they are both dual function with the team (dendro applicator/elemental res shred with swirl)

has anyone noticed that most of the recent playable characters r good if they're from liyue (yelan, yaoyao, yunjin...)? While sumeru has so many questionable players aside from nahida
I wouldn't say sumeru characters are questionable, really. They're actually really good in their specific niches but some of them are only good in said niche.
I mean, sumeru represents India and middle east, and China hate both of them. So yeah, its not that weird tbh.
Nilou and alhaitham is really good. In fact, counting nahida, most of the 5 star releases in sumeru had been decent to good, probably bcuz of how broken dendro reaction is. The only questionable ones are the 4 stars and prob cyno atm, so that's really not alot.
Fr the only good characters that are coming from sumeru are Nahida, Layla and Alhaitham.
Everyone else is either:
-Mid (Dori, Candace and Collei)
-Decent (Tighnari and Scaramouche)
-Good but they need to used in a specific way (Nilou)
- C6 reliant (Faruzan)
-Or they're just Cyno
I wish I got more copies of her, but I'm glad I can get her up to C4 when we chose a Lantern Rite character

Instructor with yaoyao might not be the best idea. Because of a little quirk with how the 4 piece set works, she has to be on the field while a reaction triggers in order to get the buff

My team comp is Wanderer, Raiden, Xingqiu and yaoyao. It's pretty good so far, lots of homing missiles, lots of heals ...just need a damn shield....need a 5 character team composition
I was pulling on the standard banner on 30 pity, and i got Skyward Spine. I just put it on Yaoyao, because i got her earlier when i was pulling for Venti.

Currently running Alhaitham with Kokomi, DMC and Fischl (I don't have Kuki or nahida 💀). Once Yao Yao comes out I plan on trying Haith, Xingqiu, Yao Yao and Fischl (eventually Kuki). Now just gotta actually get Yao Yao...

Best budget unit to keep up with Dendro harmful reactions. Put her in Nilou's team, even at low level she can keep up with both corrosion and bloom damage. Just make sure stack HP on her.

Just picked up the game a few days ago and got her on a draw and she’s so adorable. She’s my strongest attack person actually… you mentioned not to build her that way but since I’m only AR20 almost is it okay to continue using her as my main DMG basically until later game?
Yao Yao might be fine to use if you just started to the game. But make certain that the artifacts attached to her ARE NOT AT MAX LEVEL 4 four for green, 12 for blue, 16 for purple. I am not fully certain if what is going to exactly happen if anything goes wrong considering that she did not even name herself in the cutscene where she first introduced herself as a sprite in the game. She also specifically mentioned NOT WANTING TO JOIN THE GAME any earlier to avoid being a possible burden to the travler as well. The Mihiyo rep probably knew exactly what would happen if she joined any earlier, but chose specifically not to bring it when it was being mentioned by them as well. I believe that I might have accidentally came across the bunny looking at her from afar, and I partially believe that I was observing the bunny would make the traveler do; more specifically the ones where it lost A LOT of health looking directly at her doing it as well. It was even watching her really closely even way back then as well.
It is rather surprising the difference in cutscenes between actually experiencing them first hand to watching them from further away as well. I believe that the bunny was even mentioning way back then even that it might (might) eventually force someone to do some of the actions it was personally observing to allow itself to attempt to regenerate some of its total amount of health back as well. True she was probably a little bit younger when they actually took place, but still there is certain actions that should not be done in certain situations. I believe that she knew that something might have been watching her as well. Definitely timing matters for certain situations as well. I believe that the bunny even mentioned something about a travler exploring Tevyat as well. Definitely the cutscenes NOT BEING shown to you probably LIKELY INVOLVE cutscenes that kids would FIND DISTURBING to be even be looking at as well, considering that the cutscenes probably are likely preferably(?) locked behind Klee in some way, shape, or form as well I guess(?) considering that even I ACCIDENTALLY connected to Little Lulu with BEING her clothes while she was being carried up the stairs as well, with her even IMMEDIATELY apologizing about what I experienced as well!!!!! It was HONESTLY IMPOSSIBLE to make up as well that it was occurring TO ME as well!!! Yet somehow I WAS NOT phased from the experience that occurred afterwards as well for some reason as well. I already explained somewhere else entirely where I forgot where I posted it, but it was simply where I HAD NO CHOICE but observe her sleeping and allow her to sleep as well!!!

I think you're using her burst wrong; it lasts longer than you're saying. If she stays on field, it lasts longer and she generates more radishes from running and jumping.
It's best to swap off and go back to driving with another character after just a couple seconds, since most of the time she's not dealing much damage, her hit ICD is special meaning it doesn't affect dendro app
Basically keeping her on field longer loses you damage overall so your field time with her in burst is flexible :)
@@Braxophone Not necessarily, you wanna DPS with Yaoyaho herself during her burst duration. She won't be a DPS loss if you are driving hyperbloom reaction
@@demoncloud6147 That is correct, don't build her with full HP in mind , go with Mihoyo intended design for her which is dps during burst uptime which is also obvious in her cons. Do 600damage or 6000 damage during the 4sec is up you. I am with you with using the Catch on her.
I use yaoyao + Xingqiu+ Fischl+ sucrose
Use the skill and change characters , this makes it easy to have yaoyao on field cuz everyone can work off field
What are your thoughts on using candace as the other hydro in the nilou bloom team and then infusing yaoyao's normals with hydro using her skill?
Do you think a Candace, Nahida, Thoma, Yaoyao burgeon team would be any good.
So far I have her in a team with Sayu, Klee and Qiqi cause...baby army, lol. But I haven't tested how well it works yet. I'm hoping a hyrdo kiddo comes out soon and I know Iansan is supposed to be Pyro or Geo so if she is pyro, I might replace Klee with her. I did see leaked characters from the new region...not sure how accurate they will be but it looked like there might be a hydro kiddo from there. If there is, I'll replace Sayu with her since I know Pyro, Cyro, Dendro and Hydro will make good elemental reactions to help with fighting. :o I'm still trying to figure team stuff out O...O

None of them need Fav Lance. It's more because they're good with it to support their team.
