Yao Yao has a peculiar special ICD where she doesn't have a hit rule, but has a time rule of once per 1.5-2.5s ish(?) app limit. What makes it weird is it's shared with the Skill, Burst, and Passive, so no matter how many radishes she throws out, the app is constant.

Yaoyao feels like a 4-star Dendro Kokomi. -Stationary Elemental Skill that heals and apply elements. -Burst that turns her into team healer that requires some field time. Currently using 4-piece Deepwood Memory on her as support for my other Dendro unit. Very solid character.
Kokomi is still superior kit wise. But Yao Yao is incredible. She hugely benefits from being dendro so her burst isnt useless in spread or Nilou bloom. Also shes a 4 star unlike Kokomi whos a limited 5 star.
I was literally abt to say the same thing she reminds me of kokomi she has to be on field for a little while to heal but hoyoverse made sure her burst was short so it didn't take up too much time

Been playing her in a Keqing/Fischl aggravate team and really pleased with her! She's similar to Kuki in how they encapsulate the role compression concept. What a relief after the mess that was Faruzan.
It's such a breath of fresh air to see a flexible character after the tremendously limiting Faruzan, or heck, the entire 4* Sumeru squad for that matter, and oddly enough it happens to be a Liyue character, those feeble scholars sure talk big, but don't bite much.
I feel like the entirety of Sumeru has been focussing on nicht supports. Gorou, for example, would technically fit into the same category. It's kind of surprising they seemingly dedicated an entire region to it, but it makes sense that the era would at one point come where they add them. They can't make every character universal, and having some that are good in the special teams they're dedicated to makes sense. Lorewise, having Sumeru, the region of wisdom and scholars, who usually specialise in one field, be the region of nonflexible characters does make a bit of sense as well.
Faruzan and Sara is kinda inconvenient as a niche supports compared to Gorou. To Sara, who wants to waste time having to CA first? Or Faruzan who has energy problem, and also has to CA to earn that energy. Meanwhile Gorou just pop E and Q then leaves, even the Q follows the character.
She seems so fun as a coop healer. Just run your ass around and heal/apply dendro. With c1, and 2 anemos in your team your rarely run out of stamina. It's super fun
Yao Yao is the best f2p solution for Nilou Bountiful Core teams. I have Nahida and Yao Yao, but Nilou didn't wanna come home. Gonna have to wait for a rerun. 😭
im so happy her kit and materials are in the first part of the game. Just made it to inazuma so im like over a year away from sumeru. I think it was a brilliant idea they made her material in Liyue as you can use MC for more dps and her for your support. This is good for everyone :D

I actually use Sayu as healer and VV in my Keq Aggravate team. Idk how removing Sayu would affect that team. But I probably won't replace her since VV shred does so much. I'm definitely slot yaoyao with alhaitham tho. For healer and battery
the thing is having a good anemo unit that does damage in that team (kazuha) is waaay better than leaving a different dendro unit in there and having sayu healer

So, because Yaoyao is voiced by my favorite VA (Mai Kadowaki) I want so much to build her DPS. So she can be on field as much as possible. I have a Staff of Homa laying around that I got because I figured it’d be useful eventually and here comes YaoYao. Thank you for showing all sorts of YaoYao builds.

I was optimistic about her since she’s likely been in their plans for a while and likely had the luxury of getting more adjustment for her kit. I’m very excited to see when people really test what she does or how far she can go
@@nalis1 we have Yunjin who's very burst-dependant but lacks energy recharge and if you give her ER-related artifacts she'll lose her DEF and thus her burst value, and on top of that she's very niche and only good in one team with Yoimiya. So you can't say that all Liyue characters are perfectly balanced

Why they pulled her from the roster and sat on her till now was probably a dendro reaction thing. But she was created when 4 stars were still solid 🪨. So I think it's less they created a good 4 star now and more is a relic of a more prosperous 4 star era.

I feel less bad about not getting nahida now with her consistant application. Venti hydro swirl seems great for her running around throwing radishes in a bloom team since you want her on the field and hydro off field applying enough to make her radishes worth
i have been building her just casue im gonna get furina and the only healers that i have are barbara, sayu, kuki and noelle, and she is the one that heals with more consistensy and teamwide, also she is dendro, thats a plus by itself, and i have an event weapon that basically gives her 16 energy when she heals so i dont have to worry about ER to much just 120% is enough for using the burst every rotation
I just got her from the recent banner and I was trying to choose which one to build first Collei or Yaoyao. This really helped, I'll try and build her for healing. Thanks for this. 😀

(plus i can run tenacity on her and further buff my team)

Thanks to my dumb ass first putting off then forgetting about this game for months after launch, no, I hadn't heard of this bundle of joy until I saw her announcement on Twatter (I don't recall if Qiqi ever mentioned her). Got c5 of her until I stopped from Getting Alhaitham on the banner, so I'm happy I get her for free from the event, as I plan on using her down the line unless someone more interesting comes along. I hate that I neglected the game for so long because there's so much stuff I likely won't ever experience.

i'm so ready to get her from the lantern rite. i've pre-farmed everything needed to get her to level 80 with 8/8/8 talents if i wanted to, though i'll ignore the basic attacks.
I've only heard of her a few months ago because I started playing around May 2022 and I was a little worried about the whole plushy-throwing aesthetic because I don't enjoy it with Amber and Collei but Yaoyao.... maybe it's because she's a chibi or maybe it's because I don't find her voice annoying to listen to (sorry Amber and Collei stans) but I am in absolute love with her. I'm going to make her a DPS and I don't care that she won't hit the big numbers (as a Dolphin it's unlikely anyway) because look at that little basket fly up and down while she runs??? Hoyo hitting the feels again.
Also super good for my Sara, Yae, Nahida team. So far I’ve been compensating with a Jean who is good but not great. Yae is one of the few who has an awkward use of on field time so playing fetch with Sara is actually useful for her. Also my ER is decent enough where my Sara is bursting consistently and Yae is a bit behind but honestly I feel you get more AoE dmg out of this comp compared to Fischl in place of Sara simply cause Yae can utilize my C6 Saras almost 100% buff uptime

Yaoyao ICD: Skill = only 2,5 sec, Burst activation = no ICD, Burst Adeptal Legacy = only 1,5 sec. Adeptal Legacy: White Jade Radishes generated will be CHANGED ACCORDING TO THIS SKILL. Explosions will heal, and the Dendro DMG that they deal will be viewed as Elemental Burst DMG instead. This means that Skill ICD will change on Burst ICD

I've only heard of her a few months ago because I started playing around May 2022 and I was a little worried about the whole plushy-throwing aesthetic because I don't enjoy it with Amber and Collei but Yaoyao.... maybe it's because she's a chibi or maybe it's because I don't find her voice annoying to listen to (sorry Amber and Collei stans) but I am in absolute love with her. I'm going to make her a DPS and I don't care that she won't hit the big numbers (as a Dolphin it's unlikely anyway) because look at that little basket fly up and down while she runs??? Hoyo hitting the feels again.
Yaoyao does have benefit of Ilya's dreamy voice.
Was planning on XQ cons, but I guess I'll have to get Yaoyao for my Keqing.
Also super good for my Sara, Yae, Nahida team. So far I’ve been compensating with a Jean who is good but not great. Yae is one of the few who has an awkward use of on field time so playing fetch with Sara is actually useful for her. Also my ER is decent enough where my Sara is bursting consistently and Yae is a bit behind but honestly I feel you get more AoE dmg out of this comp compared to Fischl in place of Sara simply cause Yae can utilize my C6 Saras almost 100% buff uptime

😂 i have her at 60. Seriously she's cute and fun to watch as i hop all around the enemies as they get hit by radioactive radishes. Was looking at bloom, but i guess quicken and aggravate works surprisingly well. I am AR 45 new player on mobile 😂
