Yeah it was pretty bad. Not absolutely terrible when you wipe it down but I’d probably go port or starboard instead to be safe if you’re going to use it a lot
Thank you for sharing your cabin experience. I'm booked in D730 this coming May Vacouver to Anchorage. I've had a AFT cabin before facing the wake and book them as I like the wake view. Can you tell me whether there was a usb or Australian electrical point in your cabin?
From the deck plans it would seem the aft balconies are larger than normal deluxe balconies. Didn't know about the soot. We are booked on B736. Aft 😩😩😩
Yeah the soot was kind of a disappointment. They must be using some rather dirty diesel fuel. Balcony is still nice though, but might book a normal balcony next time on a Princess ship. The wake view is great though

We have an aft booked on Royal Princess for Alaska next year. Have heard of the soot issues and was considering changing it to forward facing.

@@pumpkin462 thanks for your reply. We changed it to a forward facing balcony mainly because of Glacier Bay.
