Somehow I think this game does a better job with the atmosphere of the classic stories than the movie.
It's been 24 years since I last last played this game. I believe I had the demo and it would only let me play horror. Either that or the game would crash when I went to fantasy or adventure. I was so scared of this game as a kid but kept on coming back to it. The nostalgia I felt was on a different level as memories from my past became unlocked. I feel like I finally got to find some resolution to this game after all these years. Thanks for the gameplay.
@thanomyloans2585 38:47 I wish that by now there could be an extended edition of the PageMaster, because I would personally like to see the Frankenstein’s monster scene, and the part where Richard Tyler says look at this place, and the fact that he falls into a a hole and meet the crocodile from Peter Pan I want the extended edition
Frankentein's monster in this is from a deleted scene from the movie. There are ads that show some animation of him and he's even on some of the posters.
There was also some skeleton ghost bride that was on the poster and was in the SNES/GENESIS game.
It seems the horror section in the movie was meant to be much longer.
God, I thought this game would be forgotten...

42:35 fun fact this guy was suppsed to grab richard tyler and drag him back down the stairs then when richard Tyler got through the trap door in the movie just like the delated scene he was supposed t break the trap door and then
Fantasy lit oil with her wand and the monster was blocked by the flames
thats part of the dleleated scene much to my annoyance and i want that scene back in the film in fact i want the film makers to have the exended cut of this film
20 years later, I still have no idea if it was possible to get the gold Pagemaster at the end.
I didn't know this game existed until I learned UA-cam had walk-through recordings of it!

The Pagemaster, like Kaena the Prophecy is an underrated film and it needs more love. The music composed by James Horner is amazing

Not the weirdest point-&-click adventure I've seen, but it's still not entirely clear how you'd figure most of this out on your own. 😆
I appreciate that the books/pages seem to provide "hints" of a kind, though they still seem a bit disconnected from actually solving the puzzles for the most part. That being said, it's nice having passages from the books in question.
Some of the pauses in the dialogue are hilariously awkward. 😂 Old Windows game, go figure. Though I was wondering - is the framerate actually that low or was that to do with your recording of the game?
I had no idea they made a pc game of this,the lip syncing in this made me lmao,seeing this made me think they could make a neat animated series out of this if they wanted lol good stuff.

Does anybody know what Horror and/or Fantasy do to wake up Richard? All playthroughs I've seen chose Adventure so far.
I remember that Fantasy waves her wand to wake Richard up and Horror rings some bells to wake him up.
