I have a 95' 850 wagon and even then the seats were amazing! I told myself i would replace it when it broke, but 600K miles later it's still going srtong.

I have this a couple year old XC60 T6 R-Design Polestar edition with the air suspension and can attest that it's night/day once you switch into performance mode. In comfort, right height 3" higher and softer, it tames NYC city streets no problem. Hit the highway, leave the city, performance is like a different car with minimum body roll, firm but compliant ride, quicker/stiffer steering, and faster braking. I'd say it's underrated but it's won a ton of awards. B&O sound upgrade was worth it as well. It's a real privilege to drive and farrrrrr better than anything else in the class from BMW/Audi/Merc.

You just hand the car back and it doesn’t matter if it’s depreciated 80% lol, god forbid you ever have an accident and it’s a write off, you pay for GAP insurance to cover any depreciation. These types of cars are never bought with cash.

Volvo is sort of the Lexus of Europe in terms of performance. The performance is there, but performance is not why you buy the vehicle because there's other (German) vehicles that do performance better. The performance pressure is off in a Volvo and Lexus.
Very nice car and I love it!! But here in Germany you can't maintain the left side of the Autobahn with a speed limiter of 180 kmh / 111 mph if that's important to you

In the summer I was getting 48-49 miles in Pure (steep hills, mainly motorway at 70mph, but sedate driving style), in November more like 39 miles in Pure for the same journey
@@SuperSokol7 in total (pretty much fully charged before I set off) I've done over 500 miles a few times - note: the majority of this would have been cruising at 70mph (much less efficient than cruising at 50-60mph) and I was probably down to slightly less than 50 miles range when I filled up with petrol again. Also note, this would have been in hybrid mode and always using the built in satnav (helps the car's efficiency planning) and adaptive cruise control. Using AWD or Power modes greatly reduces the mpg

I love you guys but I gotta disagree about fast sporty suvs. I love them because practically with everything I do it just makes sense. Enough off road prowess for the steep dirt roads above Napa and still can snap a corner in these Napa mountains. Msport x3 mmmm lci f25 4200 pounds not bad and I regularly surprise small sports cars on these roads. 😊 For me sporty suvs are a yes. 🙌🏾

Moving from Volvo to a Mercedes, Volvos are happy cars, they don’t care about things that don’t really matter. Mercedes is a lonely car, it cares about making lonely people feel special. My next car would probably be a Volvo again, if they don’t switch to full EV only mode.
I go from mercedes to volvo. I had a C160 brand new, collapsed 10 years later. All the services was made, stored in garage. Now I will drop an E350 bluetec. The same happened after 10 years. Mercedes is good, untill works well. Than a piece of shit. German quality is a tale.
what 4600 lbs? That's the weight of my Nissan XTerra, (sold before the pandemic), a rock crawler, mud plower, sand kicker hard core FOUR WHEEL DRIVE (not AWD). This XC60 should be 4100 lbs at the maximum.

In the UK If I bought a mild hybrid XC60 then it would be made in Sweden - but if you want a Recharge (which I have) then it is built in China and shipped a third of the way around the world to dear old blighty... ...whereas Gothenburg is less than a 2 hour flight away!
Or a real Polestar. A bright blue one from around 2013. F*ck the weird 4 cilinder modern one. The whole "Polestar Engineered" crap is fake. In Europe we even have a 197hp Polestar Engineered. It's basically just the name of a trim level. It's so dumb. The previous generation V60's Polestar had the transverse mounted straight 6 and 367hp.
As long as Volvo sticks with red blinkers, I'll take a pass on their vehicles. They're known for their safety standards yet they do this with their US models. Makes zero sense.

By that logic, a 67' Porsche 911, 66' Lancia Fulvia HF, 65' Alfa Romeo Guilia, Aston Martin DB5, DB7, DB9 etc... are ugly? Why can't something that hasn't been redesigned be pretty/beautiful anymore. You can have different tastes, but just because YOU find it hideous, doesn't means it is. Volvo makes beautiful cars that have good quality interiors and ride very well for the demographic they target. I'm 29 and have had 2 Volvos, now a Polestar 2 BST if you want to count it. They have been leagues better in quality and maintenance that the BMW's (2018 M2, and 2017 M440i) and Audi (2009 S5 (never buying Audi again)) that I've owned. I simply find them beautiful in comparison to its competitors (minus Porsche, but I've only owned a 987.1 & now a 987.2, so i cannot compare equally). I mean, look at wtf BMW has done, they (literally) have pig snouts now. I still love the 3 series wagon in certain colors though, only problem, we can't get them in the states... and the M2 is just.... disproportionate to say the least, still look alright, but they fucked up with their redesigned. Only BMW worth taking a 2nd glance at would be a 5 series sedan for me personally. Only b/c it uses the last generation kidney grille. Yeah, what the other guy said. Just because it's been in use doesn't mean it's no longer good looking. Not all designs age poorly, and you can usually tell the designs that will when they're introduced. The rear tail lights might not hold up over time, but overall this design language is still one of the best on the road. Their sedans especially wear this style well. Up there with the Acura Precision concept/TLX language.

They're finding phev owners are more diligent and mindful of range amd efficiency than standard hybrid owners, and are largely (annoyingly) enthusiastic about plugging in. Otherwise, they wouldn't have bought the phev in the first place and just bought a standard hybrid
That car looks the same inside and out for at least 5 years now. Still has that old looking stodgy back light design. Dashboard is so old looking, it's ready for the Smithsonian.
Still a good looking vehicle inside and out. I also like the fact it doesn't have one wide screen dash like every car coming out these days. A BMW, kia, chevy all look alike inside. Change for the sake of change doesn't always make sense.

It's a hybrid with 18KWh battery and extra metal around which makes it safer than XTerra.

That's interesting. Unfortunately, PHEV's teach bad charging practices. Owners charge to 100% and drain the battery to 0%.
