      honestly they probably accepted the fact that they are not coming back. so with that, all they can do is play the game the right way. they are a big company so they can't be too aggressive since they want the court to side with them. It's really now up to the girls and see how hard it is to even manage a company. especially the audience have seen how they are. international audience knows what they have been doing. we are not blinded be the media compared to the local fans. so its going to be even more harder for them to reach international media.

    I saw some lawyer saying that the penalties might be reduced if NJs lose the case because it could be deemed excessive. But given the fact that they rebranded so quickly, and everything appears to be pre-planned, it doesn’t feel like “the girls were naive and brainwashed by MHJ”. The court might not be lenient on them

      100% the penalty would be reduced as it's a crazy amount of money. But a 10% reduction is more money than they have. Even 1% might be beyond them depending on the assessed penalty and how much they've saved vs spent.
      Also worth pointing out that there's usually individual contacts with a group contract on top of that so... they will be begging for mercy if they don't pull out a smoking gun

    • @ton_hz
      @ton_hz День тому +13

      i dont think itll be reduced. I believe their exclusive contract has an explicit provision stating a specific formula/calculation for penalty. the signed notarized contract agreement between parties will always prevail.
      I do however believe that the court will lay down the settlement arrangement ex installment etc.

      @@swawrzyniak75 You're right, but I'm not sure it'll work that well in NJs case. The main thing that keeps kpop from really taking off in the west is the fact that most idols aren't involved in their own craft. As far as I know, NJs doesn't write, produce, choreograph, etc. That's why BTS was able to succeed, they're active in making their music. Plus they have a very solid underdog story.
      NJs came from unheard of privilege, and are pretty much just glorified influencers at this point. They're trying to spin it so they're the victims, but like this video says, how many times can they say "we were mistreated :( " before people start questioning it.

    Every person with a brain and common sense: " do you not understand the meaning of being under contract with a company? You dont drop them, they drop you and ador hasnt dropped you which means you are still legally obligated to work with and for them"
    Clearly these girls are more looks than brains, which is sad for them because they wont have much of a future when ador is done with them and they lose most if not all their money in the lawsuit. Not a single light seems to flicker in their brains. ADOR and the HYBE family continue to display incredible professionalism and restraint and keep succeeding and breaking records. Meanwhile, NewJean's fanbase is dwindling, and brand deals are vanishing. The rebranding doesn't change the fact that NewJeans members are still under contract with ADOR. In fact, it strengthens ADOR's legal case against them. Their body language and micro-expressions show they are worried and unhappy, which indicates that all is not well in their camp and legal troubles. No investors or company will pay for a long-drawn legal battle; NewJeans are not worth the investment and are overshadowed by much better K-pop groups that appeal to the Western market. They will never again see the success they had before they started this drama. Sadly, they will be forever remembered as a self-inflicted cautionary tale in the industry.

    I don’t see any commentary anywhere about the brilliant irreplaceable talent of these young women. Or what they have contributed, or will contribute to K-pop that is unique. Young women, unfortunately, are the most replaceable commodity in the world. A new look is as common as a new tee shirt. Being pretty? Short and inconsequential. Outside of their fan base, they haven’t got the distinct, charismatic personalities you find in people counting on their vision and talent as performers, I already know that K-pop fans can be incredibly unrealistic, and naive and believe that because they can flex in their fandom bubble they are going to get everything they want. Maybe, in ways we can’t know, New Jeans think they think they have nothing to lose. There is always something to lose. And to anyone who has ever dealt with true power, the writing is on the wall.

    When you see the group giving interviews as if nothing happens you realize that they're totally convinced that saying that they no longer work for Ador was enough to continue their lives. Many say they're well advised but one wonders to where this is true. They are convinced that by changing the name of the group, everything was solved and although they're not using a registered trademark such as NewJeans, they are forgetting the small detail that they are subject to a valid exclusive contract until the Court says otherwise. But it would be easy for any artist to change his name and continue singing. I'm surprised by the attitude of "what I say is the truth and the rest doesn't matter." Who pays for their staff and everything that surrounds their activity since it should not be cheap? In the end, all "their struggle" for the alleged mistreatment received is in the background and all they seek is to continue in the news so as not to lose the support of the people who see them as defenseless girls. Obviously that more than one prefers to believe in this because "the companies" with their power and money will always be the bad ones of the film but no one considers the fact that they acted badly for impulse to follow their beloved MHJ and turned their backs to a company that believed in its potential and invested in its careers. As outrageous as it seems to us, it seems that they are not too bothered by the fact that their contracts are still binding, and are continuing to work quit hard to garner public opinion. I believe that their attitude is strongly influenced by their western born members with an unbalanced view of their own entitlement . Can you perhaps look into how Hybe will be able to re-coup any penalties from the girls if they are earned outside of SK. Also if rumors that they have joined a Chinese Company? Especially hearing about "Bunny Uncles" ::retch:: and remembering MHJ allegedly suggesting that she's not against corporeal transactions to get what she needed. Please get that child out of there!
    It also pisses me off though that the older ones are p**sing away all the work other idols did before them to see fruits of their hard work almost immediately, instead of waiting 6, 7, 9 years. Especially when it was found that one group (can't think of the name) not only was in a slave contract, but saw no money for the work they did, and were essayed (say it slower) on top of that. Not to mention, the folks supporting them ignoring the basics of how contracts work by "calling out" folks for being corporate [insert disgusting term] instead of just admitting they're unable to follow properly. None of them really think entertainment corporations aren't paying attention? They're potentially setting up the ones after them once this is over.
    It's a mess that has gotten to the point where the graves keep getting deeper, the girls are getting harder to defend, and all their parents are failing them because they refuse to believe they were conned instead of figuring out how to free their kids from it as well.

      Their parents were invovled from thr very beginning and were part of MHJ attempts to steal Njs and ADOR.
      Now one of girls actual blood uncle got invoved as well. This greed is family deep. Its not just MHJ driving the bus.

    they have had long enough time to learn or to be taught about contract law? They have not been released from the contract. no company will touch you no matter what country you base yourself. Why can't they go away quietly, by this time how could they have any supporters?

    These SPOILED kids are way in over their heads! Who do they think they are!?😆 KidsJeans haven't accomplished anything much on a global scale. They only play on school venues, fan meets, bingo halls, and other small venues, and that's mainly in SK.
