  • Cutting trails in the woods to be able to run electrical lines to a new cabin. How well will it work?
I bought this Chinese mini excavator, micro track hoe or micro trackhoe as they are called. It’s a Kymron sold out of Oklahoma and is made in Chinan. It has a 14 horsepower Briggs and Stratton engine which gives it possibly more power than a 2200lb mini excavator needs. I use it for all kinds of projects, from digging, trenching, picking up logs, moving rocks, etc etc. I have a 8” bucket, a 16” bucket, a 30” grading bucket and a rake or grapple. It comes with a 36” hydraulic dozer blade and a hydraulic thumb. It also has a hydraulic oil cooler with electric fan.

I’m a bad influence. I say buy it! Actually, I just ordered a mini skid steer from China with lots of attachments. I’ll let you know soon which one is better for use around the yard. Heh heh

@@OurLifeInTrees Been following your channel for a while and enjoy your insight on the Kymron. Any reason you didn't choose to go with a Kymron Mini skid ? Better deal on the other brand ?

I found the same machine from the manufacturer and saved thousands. It was $8500 shipped to my door. With all the attachments it’s about $10k less then I would have spent locally.

Picking up my mini Thursday. Two projects that I have are invasive trees (small autumn olive) and removing cattails from my pond. Wondering if the rake would be good for either. The trees have shallow roots. I've been using a root grapple on my 40HP tractor. It works great on the larger trees, but can't grab the smaller ones.
    And thanks for the videos!

I would imagine the rake would work well. I use it for small trees, brush and vines. Takes them down and picks up the piles with ease.
      Thank you.

Just how many hours do you have on your machine? Have you had many issues with it....? I've watched your videos and I can tell you use it alot. I am waiting for my yh14 to be ready to get picked up.

I really don’t have many hours on it. I do use it a lot for all kinds of projects. It’s just under 40. I haven’t had many issues, my power on/off switch started acting up, so I bought a new one on Amazon.
You’ll love it when you get it. I have a mini skid on order. I’m so impatient! lol.

@@jprice-ss4bzI ordered from Derette. They are the manufacturer of many of the mini skids coming to the US now. I also want a mini dumper. They looks so handy. Also I want a 10’ dump trailer. One thing at a time. Lol
