Bama and Clemson losing is the best thing that could have happened for Tennessee, because those were the most likely to keep Tenn out of the playoff after losing to Georgia.

Lots of factors go into but I think the main reason for our loss is a psychological thing. Tennessee never should have been ranked 1 and that gave Georgia confidence and put an immense amount of pressure on Tennessee. Combine that with the fact almost everyone thought the Vols would win conditions were perfect for Georgia although if Tennessee were ranked lower than Georgia this game would have been extremely close.

Yep. Dawgs are a head above anyone else with "complimentary football". Still have a shutdown defense, and have an offense that when it doesn't make mistakes can rack up lots of points. No one else comes close.
All credit to georgias d line. Stopped the run and rushed the qb all night with an even and sometimes unfavorable box. Made our 6th year players look like freshman. That crowd was fantastic. Incredible how loud they were even in the 4th after the pouring rain! Still an unbelievable season for the vols GBO

OSU slogged through a win over host Northwestern today in 50 mph winds and rain on Lake Michigan. Georgia is on another level. So is Tennessee. Tenn fan here, i was at that game. Sanford stadium was ROCKING! UGA came to win, the fans came to be rowdy as fuck. Tenn came to get their ass handed to them. Almost a damn waste of money buying those tickets. At least stadium and fans made it a good experience. UGA is the best team in the country and its not even close.

Michigan fan here. I agree Georgia is the best team in the country. But I will say anything can happen on any given Saturday. As much as I can't stand Bama I have seen years where Bama looked dominant and clearly the best team in the country and they ended up slipping up during conference play or in the playoffs. Every team at the top had their vulnerable moments this season. Georgia with Kent State and Missouri, Ohio State with Northwestern and to some extent Penn State, Michigan with Maryland and Indiana, TCU has trailed in many games and somehow is still undefeated. There really hasn't been a clear cut dominant team all season this year like Georgia was last season. We pretty much knew Georgia was running away with it last year it wasn't really a debate. We have seen so much craziness happen in college football this year to guarantee that any team will run away with the national championship this season. Other than that good video and good luck the rest of the way.

The only difference between Oregon or Tennessee is that Oregon played Georgia the very first game of the season under their new coaches and system. They have gelled since and look terrific. I think Oregon’s offense looks better, but Tenn’s defense looks much better than Oregon’s.
There’s still a lot of football to play, and these things will sort out. Michigan still plays OSU. Oregon still plays Utah, possibly USC. TCU looks vulnerable and they play at Tex. Tennessee should run the table.
The top 6 is going to change between now and end of season. I wouldn’t sweat the rankings, there’s still conference championship games to play.

Wake Forest is good, & Notre Dame is a tough place to play the way the crowd can shift momentum when ND gets a nice gain is demoralizing to defenses.
We lost to a much more talented Georgia team today . Props to them. We did not help ourselves at all. It was a poor showing. Props to the fans at the stadium. If Heuple would have tried to use a timeout and try and get another possession at the end I am pretty sure Kirby would have just had them score on us again. It is what it is. I am still happy this season being down 27 scholarships. All that aside, I like the Vols chances with Oregon any day. I am not big on smack talking so it is hard to take it from you guys. But here I am. Enjoy it.
Well spoken.....Jimmy's and Joe's greater than X's and O's. People on Saban's nuts forget how talented his teams have been. He is the greatest recruiter in college football history (not saying he is not a good coach...simply saying he has had the most talented team in 97% of the games he has coached at Bama).....but Kirby is pushing hard to get on that pedestal. That said I think CJH is the real deal. He just has to recruit elite level talent and get them to Knoxville. I have said the same about Mike Leach. Great football coach but he has not been able to produce on the recruiting trail.

I'm trying to figure out what has happened to player development at Bama? Last year their best WR is a transfer from Ohio St. This year their best RB is a transfer from Georgia Tech? When you have to recruit from Georgia Tech of all places .... with all the talent already on the roster .... something is really wrong with your program.
As a Vols fan, GA deserved to win. I don’t think our fast paced offense can work in those environments, our players couldn’t hear Hooker which slowed us down. If we play in a neutral setting it would be close. We don’t have the depth so it may not matter anyway. Bama and Clemson losing opened the door for us to get in the playoffs, we just got to rebound.
With Bama and Clemson losing its going to be UGA vs TCU and OU vs UT, then a Georgia - Tennessee rematch, with hopefully the later, us Vols, showing up for the game this time at a neutral site
Thing is we have to have more elite talent on both sides of the ball to compete in those environments, we simply don't have that right now, i have faith in that offense but the scheme and mismatches are what truly makes it dangerous and when you don't have the proper talent to create those mismatches it takes away that dangerous factor keep in mind had hooker not overthrown Hyatt on that 1 pass that was more than likely a guarantee TD, you can always take the crowd out of the game no matter how packed it is but i think its clear as day that this is a talent issue more than it is an offensive scheme/tempo issue, we literally had a bunch of 2-4 star dudes competing against a team completely stacked with 5 star talent at almost every position and it showed, don't stress this loss bro things are still bright as can be on Rocky Top #GBO

Duck fan, our offense is rolling but our D is not CFP capable. We did move the ball in the Georgia game but made some mistakes I will chalk that up to all new everything QB, Coach, system in the first game in a LoL neutral environment. Bo was not sacked in the that game he has only been sacked 1 time all year we have good OL. Hooker just got brutalized. I think we could score certainly more than 3 now. But we have no way of tackling those Georgia TE monsters.
