Adam, thanks for the review of our Critical Connect Wireless footswitch. Here's a few answers to some of your questions. The AAA batteries last between 4-6 months with everyday use before replacement. We made the decision to go with the AAA versus charging because it does last a long time with AAA. 4 months is the average footswitch battery life for those that heavily use momentary mode and continuous mode users usually lasts longer around 6 months. We have conducted tests that the actual machine battery drain using the footswitch is negligible so there should be no battery concern on the sync with the footswitch. At most it eats up 5-10% of the battery with heavy momentary mode usage still allowing full day uses with any of our standard batteries on a full charge (except the "shorty" batteries). The prong on the footswitch is there as a backup to connect to a power supply using any 2-prong clip cord. We figured a lot of artists will have those laying around. A traditional clip cord connection also allows for swivel vs RCA type connection. Of course, this is a break in case of emergency option 🙂.
@criticaltattoo , guys can I use 2 critical torque machines at the same time with the same footswitch? I mean, if I wanted to use the 4.2 and 3.5 on the same work station for the same tattoo, could I just use both, or it only connects to one of the machines?
Hey I have an issue with connecting my cxp critical wireless foot switch to torque 4.2 my foot switch flashing green instead of white. My machine is showing the device not found🤷🏻♂️
Reach out to critical on instagram and send them a little 1 min video showing them the issue and I’m sure they will help you or send you a new foot switch
I think the clip cord just turns it in to a notmal footswitch. I don't know much if turning on and off a pen machine would damage it but I bet having a footswitch would save battery life. But then you can also run a normal power supplies with a pen and a notmal foot switch so I guess you should be fine even if the machine needs a start up boost of power to get the machine running.

It’s because you’re not using a critical connect foot switch. Ur using a critical wireless switch. Two diff things
