Hey I have to say I have tried cooking rice in my instant zest rice and grain cooker for like 2 months and every time it sticks and is light brown on some parts on the bottom but when I tried yours it's PERFECT!!!!
Since you are adding oil, you should fry up an onion or some garlic and then throw the rice in to the oil. It will coat the grain and won't stick. Its divine if you fry in 2 teaspoons of whole cumin seeds and some other Indian herbs. Like 6 or so cloves and cardamom pods. My family love it.
Great video love basmati and the instant pot. You should do an IP spanish rice some time. Will have to try that honey garlic chicken soon. Chicken thighs are the best.
Glad you like the video! You are the second person to request Spanish rice in the instant pot. I will work on that! Chicken thighs are the best!! Thanks for stopping in to comment!
I love the corny jokes! #NewSubHere I love your easy going personality and straight to the point instructions. Where did you get your top? I will stay tuned. I'm new to instapot and it seems quicker than conventional stovetop cooking. #Keepupthegreatwork
I tried this same method with 2 cups. It was wet & sticky. 😭. I ALWAYS use one cup of very rinsed basmati rice, 1.25 water for 6 minutes, 9 minutes NR. Perfect. Added another cup to the same process - RUINED!
